I'm surprise to find a Gothic hangout bar, it was good night out but wasn't great experience, the gig that we went said tickets available at door but we found out all sold out even we're hrs b4 the gig started bit disappointed but still a great bar

Really friendly staff, Tuesday comedy night was a fabulous crowd, awesome drinks and food looked great too. Music was on a playlist, but will be back on a DJ night! My new favorite place ❤ 🎸

Typical small rock venue. Bit run down. Live music upstairs from lots of different kiwi bands. Sound quality can be rough. If you like wearing black and headbanging on sticky floors then this venue is for you!

Favourite bar in town. Great drinks, awesome music, always live bands playing and it's got a great atmosphere. Located right in the city centre it's easy to access if you are sober driving or catching a taxi, and there is street parking right outside the bar that is free after 10pm. If you're in to any form of rock/metal/alternative music, this is where you'll find your people!

Been going there for years for a drink and dance at the end of the night. Bar staff are lovely, it's not overpriced, and if you like emo metal or goth rock then boy howdy are you in for a treat! (that's not all they play but is a good slice)

Great beer choice, and if you go on a Wednesday they have super-cheap prices on great craft beers. The only down side for me was the music - it was pretty heavy and quite loud for a 'lounge' bar. That said, I'll be back on Wednesdays for those prices. Oh, and you can vape here on Wednesdays too.

The only place that plays purely rock and metal. Love the service. Great range of alcohol. The perfect place to hang with your mates, have a drink and then bugger off upstairs to see a live band most weekends.

This is essentially the only bar I've visited in the 3 hears that it's been open. This bar is gritty, dark and filled with truly fantastic bar staff, patrons, doormen, and bands. With classic drinks as well as a few oddities, this bar became a second home for good reason.

The Ding Dong Lounge is a lovely bar in the heart of Auckland City. I went there to watch the Nirvana Tribute and had an amazing time, nicely decorated bar and full of energy, one thing would be that the lounge especially the upstairs area we went to was immensely popular and crowded but that's also due to the reason of coming.

A dungeon bar graced with peaceful freaks and lovely weirdos. Dance floor comes with a stripper pole. Also includes cozy leather couches for those too cool to dance.

I went on Wednesday night (Early hours of Thursday morning) and I had a good time other than cutting my foot on the pole because I decided to take my shoes off which is completely my fault I should have realized that it was not a good idea to be barefoot in a bar setting and have definitely learnt my lesson now haha other than hurting myself I really enjoyed playing Jenga with my friends and it was good to try some different and unique drinks only reason its a 4 and not a 5 is the customer service skills of the bar man there however the bar lady was lovely Will most likely be back in two weeks when we have a bar night with the uni crew and i will definitely stay off the pole for now
