A place that is one of the last vestiges of live music in a Auckland and has been so for as long as I remember. Its important and Auckland needs more places like this. Grand Central rocks!

Been a fan of this place for years the music on most nights is great hidden gem is upstairs to the right of the toilets along with 3 other cool spaces to share a beer with your mates never once have I seen any drama door staff do a great job. Safe place to get a glow on

This place has live music Monday to Thursday night. If you want to find a place that is not empty on a Tuesday night (or any night), this is the place. It's known for its late nights. It's a recipe that has allowed the GC to keep killing it for 12 years. But for me 2 for 1 drinks from Mon to Fri 4-7 is what keeps me coming back especially when a pint in Ponsonby venues can cost $12 each. At the GC, 4 pints for $20. Yes yes 👍

A bit dive-y but that's it's own special lure. TONS of comfortable space inside, back, and outside. Great chill music. Overall, whether you're here to chat about records or let off steam from your work day, it's a pretty cool place.

Normally stop by here after dinner when in the Ponsonby area for a late night drink. It doesn't look very large but there are multiple seating options from the couches up front to the small tables on the side in the alley to the small room at the back of the bar. What's also quite nice is that they tend to have live music. Nice atmosphere but it can get quite loud since it is small.

The cutest bar I've been in in a long time! The fireplace room is the cutest place to chill and catch up. Prices are decent as well and the live music is great. The blokes setting up the stage were a riot and our bartender was nice. Felt very welcomed which is great being new to the area.

These guys had to kick me out because they had already refused me service and friends were buying me drinks. Then I dropped a glass while I was onstage. Last night my friends left me to uber home. I don't think I realized just how drink I was - everything kinda caught up with me at once. But one of your security/bouncers saw me stumbling and instead of laughing at the white girl wasted, they made sure I was okay and watched me get into my uber. Tonight (Saturday 1st December), the experience of my group was dampened by the Male bartender who clearly was not happy in his job & reflected that in his service to patrons. We watched him repeatedly cop a nasty attitude many patron & at it was clear that his female co worker was not comfortable working alongside him This was sad to watch him killing the buzz at what is one of my all time favorite venues. He should not be working in hospitality. We were left feeling if we vocalized our feeling about his service, he would refuse to serve us....and we were not intoxicated. Really disappointing blot on an other wise brilliant establishment.

What a cool little joint 🚩 whenever in Auckland please check out a band called 'The Mischiefs' or 'Mischief'. Lead singer phenomenal and the band acoustically and vocally on point :-) The service impeccable and loved the local ale. Great atmos!!

I enjoyed my last Saturday night out with my 2 girl mates. Watched n listened to some awesome live music, they grooved mostly while I took advatage of the awesome bar staff & their great service.. cheers to the staff for mentioning to me about an app called "Orderella" and to come in during the week Mon to Fri between 4-7pm for 2 for 1 drinks... I did come in again on Wednesday following and I tried the app out too... "Orderella" is a pretty bad ass app that gives you a full detailed look at the bar of choice, menu, drinks and food with prices ... you just click on what you want, pay for it, once paid the app then sends the order to the bar staff, the staff sort your order and inform you back via the app when its ready for pick up,,,, BooOM!!.... really is a good idea this app saves you from time spent away from your companions.... cheers GC !!

I used to go to Grand Central on a Monday or Tuesday night and you knew it was always pumping. But I hadn't been there for years. A mate of mine told me to get down to the G.C because he found out they do two for one drinks between 4-7pm weekdays so I thought i'd check it out. It's no lie. Its the most happiest of happy hours in Auckland lol. I asked the barman if I bought a bottle of champagne, would they still do two for 1? The answer is YES. They also had an app called Orderella where you can see whats on their menu, order it and pay for it and when its ready, they send you a notification to come and get it. AWESOME!! No more waiting at the bar. Its definitely handy for when you are in their outside area quite a distance from the bar. Oh yes, they also have Street fighter 2. Just saying.

Grand Central Station is old school now that I'm slightly older I like it. Love the alley way with the fairy lights and tables great for smokers :) It gets pretty packed at times.
