Beautiful place!! Friendly and helpful staff. Great open air environment. As per their website: Overnight grew a magical world from scratch, inviting all walks of life to experience, taste and observe weird and delightful things in its Peculiar Garden. Revealing 18 Craft Beer taps, fine wines, botanical gin cocktails and an exciting array of sharing plates, Hoppers was created solely with the adventurous in mind. So 'Step right up' for a delightfully Peculiar experience at HOPPERS.

Amazing service. Great food, the staff were amazing and one of them even let the chef know that the food was good! Thank you for the amazing service and the drinks were fabulous. Thank you will definitely be coming back 😀.

The place was great, staff were awesome. One staff was really awesome, she help us out with one of the good drinks and waited for us to decide as it took us a long time in deciding. The food was excellent. Also, it had a live band when we came in so it was lively. Penny well spent. Definitely will come back for another night out.

My go to is the $20 coconut margarita, definitely on the pricier side for a cocktail but delicious and a substantial amount of alcohol. Would go here over most places in ponsonby.

Perfect lunch spot to enjoy summer weather starting to appear. In a sun-soaked courtyard with many quirky features (Encyclopaedia Britannica, quirky pictures), there are many craft beers to choose from and gins - probably wines as well, but this has always felt like a beer place to me. To eat there are many dishes for sharing such as dumplings, karaage chicken and tacos. Highly recommend the karaage chicken and the tacos, especially the tacos. The dumplings are usually very good, so will forgive that they were a little dry on top today. We could have easily whiled away the afternoon working our through the 15 tap beer options.

Excellent new place to Hangout with friends or few drinks after work, fantastic atmosphere, very nice deco, removable roof (can't wait for the summer), friendly staff, good cocktail menu, variety local New Zealand beers on taps, food menu is interesting, fusion Asian. Highly recommend, lunch dinner whenever.

A cute, trendy setting for a drink in Ponsonby. We stopped here on our first night in town and loved the vibe. They had a vegan rosé clearly marked on the menu, and it was an excellent one to boot! The amount was a little stingy for the price, though. I had a Chardonnay-infused craft beer. Interesting flavour and vegan to boot! There were lots of vegan options on the menu but we were just boozing on this occasion.

Was one of my favorite bars. Different craft beers each time I go. Good decor, nice heaters in winter and a retractable roof in summer. Also the food pairs perfectly to drink craft beers and cocktails. Only issue with this bar is there have been reports of staff bullying. I personally don't know if true. They also appear a bit lax on the covid rules.

Seriously, just spend your sunny summer weekends there and work your way down the Gin & tonic section. My go-to mix is the first option (purple something with sage) - delicious and very refreshing. The space is quite cool and quirky with aristocratic animal paintings on the walls. Good vibes!

Tbh, the drinks and food are quite pricy but quality is really good. But one thing the waitress came to us so many times.. so frequently. I know you guys try to sell more drinks and food but its too much... feel really pressure:( btw food are great and just simple fries is freah and yum. Most great thing is I can enjoy the Jazz performance which is the best thing in this place!! ☺️☺️

Hoppers is great for group or small catch ups! There’s something for everyone - I usually go for something from their wonderful huge craft beer selection but also love the wines and the food is very underrated! The fish bao buns, truffle fries & cauliflower bites are amazing! Really easy going vibe with lots of culture, always a nice crowd - but mostly, if you’re after a good beer or cocktail in a quirky, hidden garden then this place is Auckland’s best!

Good spot just off Ponsonby Road. Had about 15 quality, independent craft beers on tap. Lively atmosphere even though it's basically a courtyard but on a windy, wet night it was warm and dry. Meant to be great in summer too when they can open the roof up. Could use an extra toilet or two, though.

Good spot up on Ponsonby road. Called in here on a Thursday night to catch up with friends. Really chilled out vibe in here. Music was just a bit too loud, but that might be me being old. Staff were friendly and reminded us the kitchen was closing so we were able to get some food orders in quick. Seems like it would be heaving on a Friday or Saturday night. Will be back here for sure

Nice bar, extremely packed on a Saturday night and very hard to sit down, get to the bar and order a drink. The staff could pay a bit more attention to the surrounding customers who are waiting at the bar as eventually you can't be bothered waiting (15 to 20 mins) to get a drink.

Always a great time and a great atmosphere at Hoppers, we tucked in to a few margaritas and chilli margaritas which were some of the best I’ve had.
