(Pictures were taken 3 weeks before level 4 August lockdown) Man what a great feed, the chicken wings and the pizza were incredibly filling despite my huge appetite, paired with a glass of tap beer I couldn’t have asked for a more better combo! Staff were friendly and the wait was not too long despite it being somewhat busy, it was a great and lovely environment! People were cheerful and the atmosphere was lively. Would like to visit again when alert levels drop down in the future. Yum 😋

If you are ever stuck in traffic on your way back from a road trip stop at this place just down from the Pukekohe/Drury off ramp, good food and nice cooling drinks. Nice friendly bar staff and some Irish humour on the menus to make you smile.

First impromptu visit, had lunch yesterday, seafood chowder was delicious, great friendly service. What a cool establishment.

Amazing food. Went on a whim as we drove past and saw it had good reviews. Started with the Cream cheese, bacon and red onion pizza bread that was delicious. Had the steak and Guinness cob pie for dinner and was blown away. Was super tasty and really hearty and filling. Family had the lamb shanks that absolutely fell off the bone. Atmosphere was slightly quiet but welcoming, with some great wines on the menu. Would absolutely recommend!

I love Murphys! Me and my partner come here often. The food is good quality, tastes yummy and is very reasonably priced! I often recommend this place for its ribs and garlic bread! Atmosphere and staff are nice too. Can't go wrong with a feed from Murphys!

Popular location. Great food. Fair range of drinks - Guinness was very good. Great venue for a meal with family. Interesting decor. Have been here before, will go again. They also have a fenced motorhome site at the back of the pub. Plenty of customer parking available in the evening. Staff are courteous, and not rushing to clear the table as soon as we'd finished.

I attended a private function out the back. The service was excellent, with a private bar. I had my two young kids with me, and the area was closed off, and colouring in paper and pencils made available along with helium balloons. These things made this much better suited to having kids with us at the function. There was also a baby change table in the disabled toilet. If recommend this as a casual /relaxed option for family dinner or family functions.

Overnight camping review: A decent spot for self contained campers. It's a large car park out behind a pub with secure gated entry. Nice facilities with clean toilets and showers. Staff were friendly and helpful, price was reasonable for a powered site. We could hear the music from inside the pub but it was very quiet and muffled, and with the camper closed up for the night it was all but inaudible. It's not a place for long stay as their is no view our ambience, but it's great as a stop along your journey. Recommended

This is a really good bar & eatery I live up the road so this place is local for me, I enjoy the old pub smell, good food, good people, a great Irish bar. Call in have pint of beer and order some pizza, I was really impressed with the pizza. If you like the pizza, I am sure you would enjoy the menu.

One of the best pubs I've been to for a long time! It has a welcoming and lively atmosphere no matter the time of day. We had some kumara fries and a cheesy garlic pizza which were both delicious! We stayed on the powered motor home sites around the back which felt very secure thanks to the gated access. The facilities were very clean. The only draw back is that there's a train line which runs across a field behind the site but we both slept just fine. In fact we enjoyed our stay here so much we came back for a second night after exploring Auckland all day rather than moving on as we had originally planned!

Really good place to stop over night. Super clean toilets and showers. Laundry/kitchen room provided and people can leave cans, food and other imperishable items for others to take. You get 10% off food and drink at the bar if you're staying!!! Super friendly staff and there's a lovely fireplace inside the pub which is nice to sit around.

My husband and I shared the ribs, guinness pot stew and the prawn pizza. We loved the stew and the fries the accompanied the ribs were really delicious. The ribs were falling off the bone and the pizza was tasty. A lovely atmosphere with the fire roaring and good music on the telly. great service as well. Driving around Papakura... let's pop into The Jolly Farmer for lunch although only 1130am Yes it was open..... best seafood chowder tasted for sometime scallops, prawns etc yum! Chorizo spaghetti also yum, we will return!

We had a pleasant stop at the bar...it was quiet and service was prompt. I was disappointed to receive our starter of pizza bread after our mains were delivered to the table. It would have been nice to have had that with our drinks. Instead it went cold while we ate our fish and chips. Our chips were hot and crispy. Our fish was overcooked on the outside and undercooked in the middle. Not so much that it was inedible but we didn't enjoy the fish that much. Staff were polite and responsive but seemed to lack that extra tlc and customer focus that would take their service to the next level. Of course they could have had their minds on more important things. The tables were clean and not sticky as many bar restaurants are. There were decor items reflecting the Irish theme although some of the printed posters could have used a more professional touch. Music was not overpowering but did not add anything to the Irish ambience being more customer choice. A TV screen with a montage of Irish scenes and videos was a nice touch and we were able to recognise quite a number of places from our travels.

Had lunch 1 week ago first customers to arrive 11.15am others arrived afterwards seen to promptly. Problem with the cash registers took our offer manually. Watching other customer's get their meals first what the heck went to inquire gave me a lame answer not impressed. Lunch meals finally came 1hour & 20mins again not impressed food was good customer service was not so good should prioritise customer orders in order. Won't be taking my Whanau back there.

Excellent place to stay in campervan on the way to Auckland airport. It is just a parking lot, but it has good bathrooms, laundry and basic kitchen. The pub serves good food, the staff is helpful and polite.

Used to be called the 'Jolly Farmer' pub so I enjoy the olde style nostalgia. Pork Belly with Cloudy apple cider is a first class lunch meal. Pricey but presented well above normal pub fare. I look forward to returning for steak & kidney pie with an ale next time.

Nice place to stop while travelling to Auckland. Stayed at the motor park with a campervan. Best feature of it is the location. Also, most camp sites do not have access to any services in the evening, so pub was a nice thing there.

We organised a surprise party for my mums 60th and in the past Murphy's food has been excellent on this occasion we pre ordered platters, they were approx $45 each and they were very disappointing. Will order pizza or something similar in the future.

Possibly my favorite pub ever, the drinks are quite expensive but the atmosphere is so good in there and the staff are real friendly, there all an outside area that is great as it give the pub some diversity. There is all so a nightclub after hours that goes pretty hard as well 👍
