A whole lot of changes made to the tavern. Wow I felt a lot of memories when back in the ol days. I remember a really tall as guy slept in the back room of the pub and such a gentle guy he was, also the whanau that was the hotel's locals always singing, guitar playing, going from Ohakune to Raetihi pub doing the rounds. The Lim whanau, Chee, Sue's, Tuhura, Tehuia,Greens,Tamatea, and much more. If I could see a face from the past and knowingly we could catch up on the ol days this would certainly be of awe.

Went for a mate's 50th, catered. The food - sliders, hot dogs, shrimp sticks, samosas, an anti-pesto plate - was unexpectedly yummy for a light industrial area. Not greasy at all, good ingredients, hot and crispy. We had the back area to ourselves, including an open outside area that was toasty warm even in mid-century thanks to some impressively powerful rafter heaters. And the gal that looked after us was warm, friendly and super helpful. Birthday boy told me the bar had gone through a bit of a revamp lately and it sure worked. Onya!

Friday nights pretty laid back. Very clean establishment and plenty of room. Food is good. Been twice on a Friday night and not so full but if your with a good crowd you'll have your own party 😁

Friendly staff, well priced drinks and awesome food. I had the prawn pasta and enjoyed every bite of the huge portion. My friends had the steak with a mushroom sauce and thought it was the best they ever had. Hats off to the chef.. Really well done.

Awsum place. Went there on a Sunday for a couple of beers and a burger. Place was clean, the staff were friendly and the burger was very good. Handles of lion red beer was $6 bux. Happy Hour it's $5 bux. You really dnt need to go to these hip little places, buying beers you can't pronounce costing you $40 bux a jug amongst a lot of ppl you dnt know and all trying to be that GUY... at this pub just be who you are and you will have a good time.
