The staff here are super friendly, the seating and set-up is nice. Unfortunately both of our meals came with cold fries, the waitress brought some hot ones out however we were half way through our meals by then. The meals are very well priced but the portion sizes are incredibly small. I would not eat here again in a hurry, it seems more suitable for pub snacks and drinks not a sit down meal. We ordered the pulled pork burrito and pan fried fish.

Fantastic outdoor, maybe need a bit more shade as certain times that hot sun can really burn. Amazing service and the cocktails were the best! Nibbles shoestring fries were delightful as well. Highly recommend

Not bad a bit hot in the outdoor garden area, could possibly do with raising the ceiling or planting some deciduous trees so you get light in winter and shade in summer!

We visited as a group of 30 this week and had a great experience! Dee and her team were amazing to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. The food was superb (the sharing platters and Kumara Wedges were to die for!). They had a good selection of drinks which were really well priced. The venue was very cool and we loved the garden area!! Thanks team!! Watch this space because will be back!!

Thank you so much to Dee and the Team for taking good care of us on the night of Friday 17th Dec 2021. Thank you for accommodating our big group of 42 guests along with other groups who were also onsite on the night. It was for a sad occasion but the Team at Post Office Public House made it a memorable night with everything running smoothly and on time. Our platters and main meals came out on time and served with a warm smile. Thank you Team for your service and hospitality ❤ thank you also for being patient. The best part was the clear communication pathway. You let them know of your requests and they'll make an effort to cater for all that you've requested for. If you're looking for a warm and welcoming place that serves great food and has great customer service, I highly recommend Post Office Public House. I will definitely be booking with them again 😊❤

Nice atmosphere, unfortunately seemed under staffed, had to go and ask staff if they could come and take our order after being sat down for 20mins, then had to ask where our drinks were after our food came out and the people next to us that arrived a good 10-15mins after us got their drinks before us…then had to also ask if we could order desert another good 20mins after we had finished our mains. Food was fine just disappointing with the level of service and the time the service took.

Service was great. Eye Fillet dish - steak, mashed potato and sauce was absolute deliciousness, veges not needed. Chicken Breast dish - chicken and veges were plain with no seasoning, spicy sauce on the side was the only flavour added to the dish. Recommend Eye Fillet with mash, gravy, mushrooms with no veges. This is quite the update since I went to this establishment. It's quite homey and relaxing when you enter the premises. If you're ever interested in looking at a restaurant/bar near the Auckland Airport... then this is the spot. Reasonably priced and the meals were quite delicious. I would recommend anyone to try this place if you're ever in the area. I ordered the ribs which were very delicious and tasty. Didn't expect something so large and filled with different components. The vege burger was quite delicious as well, my partner had ordered it and it was quite the meal. She recommended coming to this place and it was a great suggestion.

We do like the new setting here. We came here using first table. Always a great deal with first table. My husband and children enjoyed their meals. I had a beautiful salmon salad which tasted great at the time but my stomach wasnt agreeing with it. Got home had severe abdominal pain and then developed diarrhea and nausea. Im the only one that had the salmon salad and everyone else was fine after their meals, so although the salad tasted great it may not have been prepared well. Sorry to say. Which is a let down because the other food was great.

This is a cool bar that unfortunately looks tired. Decoration is nice but could be much better. We ordered a kiwi burger $24 and chicken nibbles $12. The beef patty was over seasoned and dried and the chicken nibbles were fine but spicy hot. There is no indication about it in the menu. Someone dropped chilli container, I guess. The waitress was very sullen but ok. Again, it has potential but misses the mark.

First time visiting this spot for dinner. LOVED the food. I ordered chicken burger and the husband chose the ribs dish.. we both cleaned our plate. the fries and wedges that came with our meals were heavenly!! Loved the decor and the cleanliness of the place. our baby was with us and they had a change table in the bathrooms which was super handy! bathrooms were nice and clean too! had an old school classic retro vibe thru out the restaurant. Will definitely be visiting again!

Great local brews soon tap, excellent food. Try the polenta chips and the snapper entree. Staff is excellent, they have a room you can reserve that holds about 20 people. Music isn't too loud and there's a pay-to-play pool table. Great vibe overall!

Heard good things about Post Office so decided to stop in for a quick lunch before picking the kids up from school. $15 lunch deals have a good selection. Forgot to take a pic of the menu but I got the steak salad. Was delicious. Service was amazing and atmosphere was good. Had both indoor and outdoor seating. Would come and eat again.

My favourite is the totally unhealthy fried polenta chips & arancini balls. Sooooo good! Their burgers are delicious with fresh veg. Their chicken salad is also a must. My grandkids love the everything wedges. Something for everyone. There is a warm atmosphere inside with a gas fireplace for the cooler weather. Funky chairs hanging from the high ceiling. Sitting outside in the semi shade of the greenery is awesome when the weather is warm

Visited with my wife and daughter at 5.30 on a Friday. Was really impressed - Service was good and the food was great. The best we have been to in the area and we will definately be back. Positives: 1) Kids menu is good and they provide colouring pencils! Win! 2) My medium rare steak and chips was cooked to perfection. 3) portions are large 4) pricing is what you'd expect Negatives: Only negative is that it's a bit noisy due to the concrete floor and no sound deadening between the bar and seated area. But it did make the place feel lively and and the atmosphere was nice.

Fantastic place! We stayed in an airport hotel, but wanted to have dinner somewhere else. That's why we came here! We had the kiwi burger which was sooooo gooood!!! Such a cool place. Music, everybody was in a good mood, great start for our NZ adventure. Made us feel very welcome :)

I wouldn't classify this as a gastropub: more of a large restaurant with a bar. The menu was confusing, poorly formatted with limited options if you just want a light meal. I thought it was on the pricey side: they wanted $24 for a burger and chips. That said, the staff were very attentive and the smoked mussel appetiser was excellent. I didn't enjoy their dips: the aioli was flavorless, and the "in house tomato dip" was a weird curry flavour that made no sense with the rest of the meal.

Had the opportunity to hire out the whole venue for me and my husband's wedding reception last month. Very spacious and accommodating for 100 people. Great Manager, great team and great food. Even through covid level 2 both our families were able to have a great time. I recommend you book your next event there and support local businesses. :) you will not be disappointed. A pub with real character. All round, fantastic atmosphere. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this place. The setting and furniture is nice and everyone is very friendly. The food is awesome. There were three at our table, having the venison pie, sticky ribs and steak and chips, all highly recommend. They were well cooked with great flavour. They didn't skimp out on the meat for any of them and yet the price was not too dear. The only drop of a mark is that we had to wait quite some time. They did apologise for this and the food was worth it.

First impression about this restraunt was that it's a bit expensive, but it worth the price. The staffs were very very kind and the taste of the food was fantastic as well. Would like to recommend to those who stay around the airport.

Had a delicious lunch here before our flight out several weeks ago. Food and beers were great, atmosphere even better. What was truly amazing was the customer service. We had a personal semi-emergency shortly after leaving and the manager went out of his way to make sure our issue got resolved. Incredibly thankful for his kindness. Highly recommend this venue for any occassion big or small. We hosted my dads 70th surprise lunch (13.3.21 small gathering) a last minute find due to making alternative arrangements. Because of Lockdown we had to change our original venue booking to the Post office which I am so glad it prompted us to. I found dealing with Dee (Manager) very proffessional and helpful and she was able to answer all my queries I had a week out and week of the big day. I had ordered the buffet menu, food was great, garden area was perfect for an intimate gathering. It was a nice sunny hot day and because of that I would recommend maybe to have abit more shading (umbrellas) or some kind of shade to cover where the buffet is to shade the food and plates/cutleryas well. Besides that, everything was perfect. Our guest and especially my parents all enjoyed the food and relaxed atmosphere. Thank you so much for a great experience.The staff on the day were also very helpful and great.Thanks again you've exceeded our epectations from beginning to end!❤☺ By the way I have organised a Work Xmas dinner here a few years back and from what I can remember, the BBQ menu and service was great also.👌🏽

Great place. Decent food. We didn't like any of the desserts we ordered (though there is only a few options for this). The Buffalo Wings are possibly the best I've ever had. And the Venison Pie was incredible. Would happily go again

The restaurant was easy to work with from afar and even within their set group menu, accommodated the wide variety of dietary restrictions in my group. The group menu price was a little higher than other restaurants in the area. There is a small semi-private party room available (for up to 30 people). Service was very friendly.

Classiest sports bar on the planet. Food and ambience were awesome. Service absolutely top notch. A real jewel, and close to the airport, totally worth the stop if you're flying in or out of Auckland. I love the modern decor featuring some very creative use of postage stamps as modern art.

Decided to drop by for dinner after picking up my car nearby after a holiday, POPH was great!!! Saw a high rating on google, decided to rock with it. Had the Garlic Pizza Bread, Bacon Mac n Cheese, Hot Chicken Wings and Pan Fried Snapper on Risotto (Crab and Pea if not mistaken). A++ for all the food and service was excellent, I am definitely going to come back whenever I am nearby without a doubt. Only reason I'm not giving a 5-star is because we found a hair stuck in one of the Garlic Pizza Bread, which I just cut that part out anyway. Not a big deal to us, was just taken aback for a short while. But like I said, a MUST GO!!

So impressed by this place. Came here on a first table to take my father for a birthday dinner before my flight home to Wellington. I called ahead and asked if they could do something birthdayish woth a dessert and bring it out as a surprise. Never been here before but the service, food and beer was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend this place if you are staying at a hotel near by..especially the Holiday Inn. They will not tell you about this place and I can understand why, they would lose too much business. Oh well, the food at the Post office is soooo much better.
