Nice little place with a great vibe. Went there on a Tuesday night and they were super busy, but still had a table available for the four of us. Menu wasn't too big or small. Food was delicious and decent portion sizes. Cocktails were great. They had a nice selection and I found my new favorite. It was one that tasted just like a Jaffa - 'Sliim's Star', give it a try!

We were served by max, she was the bomb.com. I love her definitely give her a promotion. I swear I don’t even know her she’s just amazing and she made the experience perfect. She’s great. Idk what else to say but I feel I need to make this review longer because she was so good and I told her I’d do this for her (she didn’t ask, I offered) but she’s amazing I love her. She’s perfect. Also the lovely blonde lady who cleared our plates did an excellent job. The drinks were perfect and fast, the food was absolutely amazing. 11/10 best bar ever.

Good place to chill and drink and meet friends. Their cocktails are spectacular.Great customer service. The girl there didn't get her name she was very friendly and keep checking on us if we would to like to order anything else. Bar is next to main mt eden road,lots of parking around if you planning to go on Sunday.

Food: There is a wide selection of food available and we ordered Agria Chips, Jerk n' Lime Chicken, Bourbon Scotch Fillet and drinks. The food was tasty and but all a little too salty, I wonder if this was done on purpose so that more drinks could be ordered. Special mention for the Jerk n' Lime Chicken where I was only given 4 very thin pieces of marinated chicken slices, while too much cucumber and lettuces. It was quite bad as I felt like I was having a vegan meal. All in all it was very so-so, volume was fine but really just standard pub food at best. Service: The service was good with friendly staff. Timing for taking orders and getting food and drinks was also good. Ambience: Garden setting with hanging plant baskets which is very nice. Great atmosphere. Will I come back again? Not sure :-)

Great venue & location. Food & Drinks was tasty. 1 chef smashing the food out - star was the banoffee 🤤🔥 1 bartender mixing all the concoctions - fishbowls & sangria needs more alcohol 🙊 Compliments to the front of house, this guy was everrrrrrywhere 💯 considering how busy it, the staff this night understood the assignment. Potential of this place being great with more staff 😬 A good place to start your night!

2nd time we've been here. Had a reservation, the waiter looked after us well. Ambiance is great, the place is lively and always full of people. Food was good as usual, so many flavours! But it was better last time we were there. We had a great evening here 🙂

We came to this restaurant as recommended by zomato gold. The whiskey and garlic bbq pork ribs tasted great and wasnt too saucy. You get about 8 ribs and the meat was tender and came off easily. The boneless lamb shank felt a bit lacking, the portion size was small and wasn't too filling. The outside seats had overhead plants which unfortunately was dropping plant debris onto our food. The young waiter gave us good service nonetheless.

And the food are also not bad. recommend the pork ribs here, tender and juicy, melting in ur mouth. however fish n chips is even below ordinary level in AKL, and the bourbon steak, under cooked at first coming, so we asked staff to cook it more time. The second time was great, also love slimm's bourbon sauce.

We popped in here for a weekend lunch and the service was fast and friendly. The food was delicious. The burgers were great but we also had food envy over what the table next to us was having so we'll have to come back to try some more options!

In terms of food we ordered (takeaway) the ribs and the beef burger. Pros: the chips were nice, FOH staff were friendly and they swapped the chips around as we requested. Cons: meat was quite bland in both meals, received no aioli with the burger or coleslaw with the ribs which is disappointing when you are paying the same price as dine in. Also banoffee wasn't great. Wouldn't come back for food but the drinks look good.

Ambience: 5/5 - I love the earthy green feel with the neon and fairy lights. Really adds character and mood to the atmosphere especially with their choice of music. Real good vibes ! Service: 6/5-The staff are always charming and sociable which I feel comfortable reciprocating, their recommendations are usually spot on. Shout out to Sarah who was a great server to us. Drinks: 7/5-Oh my Jimmy!!! He’s my fave bartender in Auckland!! I’ve had his drinks for close to 6 years and you literally can taste the years of experience. If he leaves I will literally follow him hahah. I love his bees knees and passion fruit mojito - super bomb. Ps team please bring back the old school fish bowls, they were next level amazing! The ambience tied in with the amazing drinks equate to a good time always Food: 5/5- Can’t fault anything I have tried as they aren’t constantly good! Shout out to Raj for making great Sunday rib!! He truly rocks and the lamb tacos are really great. I find it helps to ask for what’s good to who ever is working as they’re usually right. All in all I’m really happy with this place and it’s my go to for all sorts of occasions. 💖💖💖

I think this casual restaurant also deserves a higher rating - great atmosphere, nice service. However, we got the ribs special (on Sundays) and they could certainly have been more tender and have more sauce... Good portion size for the small price though!

We were here for lunch. The place was completely empty as opposed to Circus Circus across the road, which was overflowing. Having patronised both I believe prices versus portion sizes would be the main reason. We had the ribs and pappardelle pasta with beef ragu. The beef ragu was really just sliced roast beef? But the pasta was beautiful. The ribs were perfectly cooked and flavoured, and the coleslaw was designer! :) But considering the prices of $27-32, the portions were tight. 6 ribs for $32? Also, beware! They charge a dollar per box to takeaway leftovers, whats worse, never told us about it, just charged it. We didn't have drinks, seemed pricey at $12 for a glass?

The service was great, servers were attentive. Next time we are here, we would prefer to come for late night drinks rather than for their food.

It's my local. About 50 metres from my house. Crew are great, drinks are too. Good unpretentious food made with honesty for a reasonable price. Summer Sunday Sessions are fantastic with awesome jazzy house music. Great vibe I'm here once or twice a week, so no doubt will see you. Highly recommended.

We went for dinner last Saturday, 20th Jul, 2019. Food is nice, the steak and prawn is the best. The bar setting gives warm and welcoming feeling in the wet and cold winter night. Service is pleasant and warming. We all enjoyed it.

Quaint place, great food. Service is excellent. We booked a table for 1700 and were seated promptly. Staff were very friendly and courteous when taking our order. Food arrived promptly and was excellent. Serving staff were prompt in offering refills.

Disappointing .. we ordered the juicy Lucy burger and wow what a disappointment the cheese all fell out the second you pick the burger up , making the meat dry and hard to eat , I really think you should remove this from the menu . However the croquets were outstanding I could eat these everyday, but the other sides we had were just really average , at a cost of $82 for two people this is quite steep. We won’t be back as there are so many other options around that are much better
