Reviews of Seoul Night
S.
Seoul night just hits the spot time and time again. My friends and I have been here so many times and the food and customer service is so consistent.
The dishes are delicious and made for sharing so everyone is always able to try different things. I highly recommend the rose pasta and rosemary fried chicken (if you like proper spicy food).
The staff do an amazing job. This place has been busy everytime I've been there but the staff mange to attend to people as quick as they can with a really approachable and friendly service.
Bonus: Seoul night was the only restaurant I have been to during the pandemic that provided sanitizers for each table.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a place with a different vibe. I know I'll be back regularly 😁
A.
When we accidentally stumbled across this place and was refused entry cause it was a restaurant, we were hoping to come back one day to give it a try. Booked a table and arrived, we did arrive about half an hour earlier than our reservation to see if we could be seated early but if we didn’t that was fine (however they did let us come in early which was nice.
Took about 5 or so minutes for someone to even come to the door to assist us as we needed to be seated by staff.
Was put in the small corner which was a shame cause I couldn’t appreciate the interior of the place as I was just looking at a corner. Food was good with decent portions as it’s designed to shared though the two people table is way too small, was served promptly when placing the initial order however my partner was ignored 3 times when he was trying to wave someone down just so we could get another drink.
I wouldn’t really rush back but I am willing to give the place another try maybe sometime in the future.

A group of 5 of us went to Seoul Night to celebrate my sister in laws birthday.
This was a 1st experience for most of us so we were very excited.
It's down a little side street & your welcomed by a red door that looks like a soda vending machine that I thought was pretty cool. We were then greeted by one of the staff who was very lovely.
Some of our group had turned up before us and had already ordered drinks so we sat down to. The customer service was actually really great. They were attentive and polite and informative when we asked questions about the food and drinks. The food come out reasonably fast. They checked on us a couple times to check if we wanted more drinks & if our food was ok & I appreciate things like that.
The reason for the 3 star review is because some of the food we ordered regardless of the 1 chili meter on the menu it was very spicy. Im not the best with spice but usually with mild spice I can handle it but this I could not.
We had:
Original Fried Chicken:
Very tasty! Nice and crispy & hot. Korean Fried Chicken is honestly my favourite type of fried chicken & this satisfied my cravings for it. Also come with a side of chips & they were cooked to perfection. Crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside. (Not spicy at all)
Soy Glazed Fried Chicken:
This was the spicy dish that I couldn't handle. Although the chicken was moist & the honey soy glaze was amazing I could not bring myself past the burn of the spice so I wouldn't order it again.
Kumara Pizza:
Amazing. Simply Amazing. I loved it. It's not really a pizza I'd say more like a kumara bake but it was very delish. The cheese cut the sweetness of the kumara and it was a perfect match for my taste buds. (Not spicy at all)
Rosè Chicken Pasta:
Was very good also. I wish they'd tell me how the chicken stays crunchy when mixed in with the sauce. The pasta is cooked to perfection. Not to soft and not to hard. (Not spicy at all)
Korean Grilled Pork:
Was a tad spicy & it didn't even have a Chilli next to it to say it would be spicy but I did like it. Tasty, juicy pork & the rice went perfectly with it. This spice I could handle & would gladly enjoy again.
The drinks. OMG the drinks were to die for. I had a Watermelon Soju Slushie and the Mango Soju Slushie and they both exceeded my expectation for real!! I'd legit go back just to have those soju slushies 😉 the food was a bonus to me.
The atmosphere was nice & it was pretty funky. The decor was modern. It was mixed with a bit of a street with neon lights & graffiti on the walls there was Korean words that were also translated to English that I thought was cool & neon lights all around.
All in all it was a great experience & I think everyone should try it atleast once.
P.s if you don't like spice I recommend not getting any of the items that have a Chilli next to them & double check with the servers on what spice level they are.
L.
KIMCHI FRIED RICE was my favourite dish on the menu! Very tasty and the tornado egg ontop was very cool! Everything I tried was delicious. Also I would highly recommend trying a Soju Slushier, we had Watermelon and it tasted like it was just the fruit freshly blended. Most items we tried had a little kick of spice so keep this in mind.
A.
If you are in your twenties, eating late at night after/with a few drinks you'll like this place. If you are in your thirties, and come here for dinner at 5pm on a Monday like I did, you'd probably rate this a three star. Food is good, but is mostly heavy fried food that goes best with a night on the town.
Best dish was the pork bossam. Fried chicken was good (wish there was more chicken and less fries) & I really liked the lemon crush soju sangria. Service was okay. Worth a try and enjoyed myself but probably won't be a regular patron.
G.
Delicious as always with good vibes. My favourite was the spicy rice cakes and the salmon soba noodle salad. We also got macncheese, fried chicken, kimchi fried rice and loaded fries which was all delicious. If you're getting the fried chicken, you won't need the extra fries though.
E.
The food was generally good, though the chicken I chose was tasteless.
Atmosphere was interesting but hot, very hot, sweltering infact which was as you can imagine uncomfortable, and also very noisy.
For a restaurant on a Wednesday night around 8pm there was a lot of wasted and noisy people, which isn't very conducive for a family dinner.
Not sure I'd rush back.
M.
Worth visiting another time. Spicy pork makes you keep eating rice. Soy glazed children is really good. The portion is really generous. Each dish feeds 3 people easily. Better to come with a few friends so that you can try more varieties. 2 people order 3 dishes maximum and need to do doggy bags. Recommended.
L.
Service and vibe was excellent!! Food was Great.
Staff were so friendly and the blonde girl who served us was incredible with her recommendations of shared platters and dishes for a bunch of Polys who like to eat 😅 Celebrated my niece's 21st here as this was more her vibe as she loves all things korean. The whole family loved this place as it was something different to our traditional way of celebrating a 21st. Loved the drinks too. Thanks guys
A.
Great experience and amazing food. Open till late as well so provides a great night out in Auckland city.
e.
i would recommend seoul night ! the portions are decent for the price and the drinks are nice too. the service is alright as well as the environment.
M.
Highly recommended, pork ribs and the pasta were great. Friendly service, chill vibe
L.
Not bad overall . The sojito was too sweet for my liking and not cold enough
C.
Food is so good! Definitely recommend sharing as the portions are large. The chicken rosé pasta is my fave. The place has a nice vibe.
V.
My friend highly recommended this place because it is very similar to the REAL Seoul night! The fried chicken was amazing, especially the spicy one! The environment is more like a bar. Probably I am too old to enjoying it 🤣
r.
Okay I will be honest. I just absolutely loved the food. But it looked a little different from what we saw in zomato. The guys (staff) were friendly but the girls never even smiled at us not sure why, made us a little awkward really, but you know what not a big deal, the drinks and food and the ambience will make up for it. But they should get like fans or aircon its hot inside.
A.
Visited here lastnight and wow such a cute hidden gem. As soon as you walk in the door the ambience hits you with good vibes and the smell of great korean food. We purely just came here to eat so didn't have any alcohol. Everyone who we saw looked like they were having a awesome time over drinks and snacks, whereas others were having a late dinner catchup with friends. The decor is very unique and modern, I loved it.
I highly recommend all three dishes that were ordered, was made beautifully and the flavors are spot on.
The guy who served us was so welcoming and very helpful. Staff here very friendly.
Definitely will be visiting here again in the future, I highly recommend if your looking for a late night feed for Korean food. Also its a bit pricey but the quality/quantity is so worth it we even had leftovers to take home.
D.
One of the best dining places in Auckland. Great food, great customer service.. You should definitely try the rice wines here. It's super delicious. Last night me and my friends had a good experience here.
S.
The staff are really nice and look after each customer very well.
The food, ambiance and choice of music is excellent!
Must try korean restaurant when you visit Auckland
D.
My Asian tastebuds approves this place. Portions are great to share between 3-4 people, and they got cool drinks. Service was on a slower end but that might be low in staff.
Overall, would recommend this place with a group of friends and book in advance !
B.
Been here twice, love the food here. The portion is big and designed for sharing (four people to a plate with repeats sort of sharing size). Interesting drinks too. Food comes to about $35 per person usually and drinks $6. Only down side is the music can be a bit loud.
O.
Great idea to turn this place into an eatery. Everything was tasty and fully enjoyed our group experience here. A little bit on the expensive side but still worth the 5 stars in terms of the service we got! My personal favorite would have to be their fried chicken, perhaps a little more sauce wouldn't hurt. Overall a great night out. Will be back perhaps with a smaller group.
B.
Located in Fort Street, the doors of the restaurant is a vending machine so it is kinda easy to identify. It does have a fairly large dining area but it was quite packed when we were there with tables being reserved.
We had a range of different dishes and they all looked quite good. The food ranged from fried chicken to a kumara pizza to nabe soup. They also had a range of different drinks, we had different flavours of the rice wines and they were alcoholic, fruity slushies. I quite liked the mango one.
Really nice food and interesting drinks so it is a nice place for a meal if you can get a table.
A.
Our favourite go-to dinner spot. Friendly staff, good service and good vibes. The food is never a let down and comes out rather fast. Highly recommend. Pictured: Rosemary Fried Chicken, Kumara Pizza and Rice Cake Skewers with Deep Fried Egg
W.
This place was amazing!! Went here for a late night feed and was not disappointed. Meat was so juicy and tender and the fried chicken was 10/10!! Mango rice wine is so dangerous... but so damn good. Would definitely recommend!
J.
Service was fantastic, the waiters are very friendly and attentive. Food was great, big sharing portions and very tasty. The slight let down was that several items on the menu weren't available because they lacked ingredients.
B.
Atmosphere, staff, food and ambience was all amazing! Can't wait to have another Seoul night and would highly recommend!
N.
Really delicious food that is good for sharing among a group of people. Cool ambiance. Would recommend.
B.
Seoul Night is a hidden gem. Once you walk through the vending machine enterance, you are greeted by friendly staff who try to accommodate you in any way they can, even if they are super full and busy. The environment is dreamy, and the lights and music give you a club feeling while still staying a classy restaurant for young adults. The food was affordable, yet super tasty and came in large portions. Their drinks were super creative and tasted amazing as well. I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone, but I do recommend to make a booking to get in!
K.
Such such such an awesome place, the food is DELICIOUS so incredible, the portions are gigantic so make sure you go with a few friends. The music is great and the decorations are so modern and lovely. The staff is friendly and attentive and service is super fast. Weird point but they have really cool bathrooms 😂😂. If you’re not drinking then the food is super affordable too. Highly recommend the rosemary fried chicken
L.
Please try their rice cake skewers, so chewy and full of flavours and their fried chicken was delicious as well. The two drinks that we had were kinda disappointed tho tasted weird and a bit bitter. Except the drinks everything’s perfect!
S.
Actually, the purpose of visiting here is 안주
If I drink with my friends, I always visit here. I like this part because the staff is kind and the inspection is meticulous. However, the music is too loud to talk with the whole my friends
K.
Big portions to share as well as smaller portions for individual meals. The soju slushis are a fun twist on the drink. Yummy food!
A.
Such yummy food. Not a huge fan of the revamp menu, miss some of the stuff from their old menu but it was very yum
D.
Place is great.staff is nice. Did i mention that the chicken menu is delish!! The place is cool! The toilets are divine..complete with toiletries for every need. However finding the place was challenging as it doesnt have big massive signs hanging outside.but i manage to find it..thanks to google..however the entry is really cool.looks like a fridge or a drink dispensing machine.
D.
Delicious loved the fried chicken, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Great music.
D.
Ordered through uber eats was disappointed with our food chicken was not nice nor worth the price soy chicken was cold the only thing we enjoyed was the hotchips and Welch grape drink will not be eating here again
would highly recommend pocha 💯 as one of our fav spots who know how to make delicious chicken with bomb as marinade and you get your money's worth
w.
Great place to hang out with friends, enjoy soju and have fun. Friendly staff and tasty food-portions are okay
S.
Loved it, authentic, massive portions and the staff are awesome. Felt like I was back in Seoul
J.
My third time here. Always FANTISTIC. Both fried chickens (spicy rosemary is $32, original KFC-type is $30) are HUGE and delicious. BIG sharing platters, all of them. Chicken and cheese is amazing. Tried their limited waffles today, only $15, delicious with lots of fruits. Watermelon soju sangria is always a favourite.
M.
chili cheese fries, kimchi stew and dak gang jung were delicious. Staff were very accommodating.
S.
It’s a vibe. Love the rosemary chicken. 8/10
A.
One of my favorite places to go - not just for the food but for the vibes! Super friendly staff, and delicious food. All time favorites are the bossam and the rosemary fried chicken. It's hard not to keep coming back every weekend
J.
This little hidden gem is located on fort street (right opposite Cassia). Highly recommend the "Grape Soju" with original Korean fried chicken. If you prefer something really spicy, get the "Rosemary Chicken 🌶🌶"
G.
Great vibe, great food. Best Korean dish I've ever had was the stir fried pork slices for $19, we also had a beef stew thing for $34 which was nice, and the fried potatoes which were nice, strawberry wine which was a blended wine and berry smoothie, 900ml for $19 or something, would be enough for 3-4 to share but we managed to take it down between 2 of us just was filling. Mains are big, 2 mains between 3 would be ideal, otherwise could do 1 main and the smoothie and a couple smaller dishes, or just do 2 mains and you'll finish most of it and maybe bring some home. Most mains and fried chicken are like $35 price range but imagine all being a good 1.5 times as big as most mains elsewhere
N.
Nice ambience, cool music, customer service was amazing and so is the food- make sure you try the strawberry sulshie, so delicious.
S.
Atmosphere and interior was amazing. Loved the Korean style vending machine used as the entrance way. Sangrias are bomb. Will be back!
V.
Such a good vibe.
Nice drink and nice food. :) I’m lovin it!!!!
A.
A very gangster ghetto location and great vibe. Entrance is very cool too with the vending machine entrance.
Food was great, but takes a while to come out. No smoking area. But easy access to the front door.
Will be back again.
Service: 4/5
Environment: 4/5
Presentation: 4/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 4/5
Price per person: $30-$80
B.
Delicious delicious delicious! Service was also outstanding!
R.
Nice Korean style food. I found the music a bit to loud to have good conversations, overall ok
N.
This place has such a cool vibe! A perfect place for a hangout. The service was super friendly and fast. Everyone is so down to earth and super happy to assist you. The food portion is huge, so you need to bear this in mind when ordering a main dish!
The decor is just as great. You can definitely see the attention they put into all the details. The ladies had an awesome vanity, too.
I’ve always enjoyed hanging out at this place, and highly recommend it!
J.
Absolutely amazing food, and really big portion sizes . Staff were really nice and its a cool venue with a great vibe and music. Definately will be back!!
Recommend the chicken n cheese which is what I ordered and the Sangria Mojito Jug was gorgeous made by the lovely female bartender which came with flowers, mint and what I think was a vanilla or cinnamon stick...deliiiish!!
Thank you Seoul Night .
N.
Decent casual fried chicken spot in the CBD. Prices are fair, chicken is acceptable, service was acceptable. Don’t expect to have your mind blown. One personal gripe I had was the low chairs and tables - bear this in mind if you’re on the taller side. Can’t go wrong overall but nothing special.
e.
Amazing food, great service. Fully recommend the black bean pasta and tteokbokki. The blueberry rice wine smoothie was the best thing I've had.
A.
Luckily I could find Halal chicken, better to talk to reception and they will be able to help you. Food was very delicious and the staff are super nice. It's not easy to find though but once you are inside it's worth it.
C.
A trendy Korean restaurant in CBD. Kind staffs welcome you with delicious KoreN chickens and drinks. One of rare place you can come wirh your vegetarian or vegan friends as they have suitable menus for them as well.
N.
Always have a great time here, the staff are really helpful and friendly and the food is incredible! They also whipped up an extra special dish for my partner's birthday which we weren't expecting. It was fantastic! Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.
Favourites include the rosemary fried chicken and the pork belly. And some Soju to wash ut down
S.
Glad to have discovered this place post lockdown. Good place for sojus and fried chicken.
G.
Loved the food!
The place has a very unique interior and had a great vibe to it, the service was fantastic would go back there in a heartbeat.
C.
I def should say that this place is Korean chicken cook so properly.. its so fresh and yummmmm but the cream dockbokki ? Was weired..was not that fresh enough compared to last year... and all fried are also too dry and chewy....... As a matter of fact, I love this place but ... space is tooooooo dark.. you know ur food looks so good and yum but due to ur dark atmosphere those looks not that great visually.... I love dark place but this place is too dard to have dinner or drinks :(
K.
Love their food and the place looks really nice. Super lovely staffs too. If you have a late night craving then def check them out. 😋👍
B.
Such a sick venue & the coolest staff! Came here on a Friday and our main server Owen took care of us, such a sick dude we were a huge group and bloody annoying but nothing we asked for seemed like too much. We always find it hard going out in a big group but SO AWESOME. Good music & Atmosphere, will be back 4 sure!
H.
Good Korean food, pork belly is my favorite
T.
Well decorated restaurant with lots of awesome neon lights. Good spot that served some great food and unique drinks!
F.
Food was mediocre but the staff was very nice and fun! I enjoyed the music a lot. Maybe i have just ordered the wrong this this time?
T.

R.
First time here, Atmosphere and Decor was just like on Instagram 🤩🥰Tried the recommended Rice Cake Skewers 💯 Friendly Staff on the first night of post-lockdown opening. We booked a table and were a lil late by 10min, but the accommodated us the moment a table was available. The Lemon Sangria was awesome and the Youghrt Soju Slushies were yumm. Thanks for the awesome post-lockdown evening 🤙Would defo go again 🙌
G.
Amazing food and drinks.
J.
Food was really good. We had the kimchi stew which came with two bowls of rice. Didn’t taste overly fermented, and the pork belly in the stew was great. Music was a bit loud and it was difficult to hear the wait staff.
S.
The food was amazing. I've had a lot of Asian food and this was definitely up there. The flavours and overall quality of the food was great! The atmosphere really enhanced my experience as there was a great Korean vibe.
H.
Get the rice wine drinks! These are dangerous! They are soju smoothies that taste like smoothies with no alcohol. Then if you are more traditional just get the bottles and get plastered. The food here is also amazing especially the rice cakes! These come loaded with ingredients! The Korean native in our group said this is more true to Seoul food, which is just as the name suggests! Either way come with a good group of friends have some food, drinks, and conversation then have a relaxing night.
L.
Great food, great service. Good for young people hanging around with a few drinks. Kumar pizza, and original fried chicken I have tried tonight, taste good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
J.
God-oh-god-moan-worthy korean food. Not a newbie to asian food, being a big fan of strong vibrant flavors, Seoul night definitely did not disappoint. We ordered rosemary fried chicken, general fried chicken and fries (??), kimchi stew, rice cake skewer, fish cake assortments, miso nabe; nothing disappointed me at all. Everything was 8/10 or above. The soju cocktail (watermelon) was stunning, beers were surprisingly affordable (for city prices) . Cannot fault. You've got my 5 out of 5 stars plus an extra one for the hot guys around. Must book ahead.
N.
Very generous helpings, nice and intimate the staff are amazing, the food is sooo good highly recommend. Bossam was delicious
A.
Their soy sauce fried chickens is a bomb😍, definitely recommend that dish

Y.
Very good service and drinks! My friend left her coat and one of the waiters chased after us just to return it. Would definitely return!
J.
Food is delicious, place is great but service is a bit slow.
J.
My friend recommended it without knowing booking is essential but the staff accomodated us and serve is very well and they gave us goodies for halloween. Sure we will be back! Thanks.
