M.Love the little touches and the flavours. Usually order via uber eats but the delivery time doesn't do the food justice. Awesome in-house sauces compliment the dishes. Should have taken photos but I was too busy enjoying it.
v.Beautiful and Service, we 3 went as First Table Customer, WHAT A BARGAIN, I ordered the Calamari Bowl and my 2 friends order Ribs and Buffalo Chicken Wings for Mains, we all had Waffle, Berry compote and Ice Cream for Dessert (my lunch was 50% of $32)
Was saved plenty of Calamari in my bowl amazing
Y.Very friendly staff and has high quality pool tables while you wait for your food which I really enjoyed the wings with the sauces, best to come with more people to try more food
w.Had lunch here today and it was awesome. Ordered a couple of starters and the Angus burgers. Food was on point and portions were massive. I left here literally about to pop. Also the service was great and the servers made us feel looked after.

R.Went tonight for the first time! Mondays are buy one meal and get the second for free, was definitely worth it our meal sizes were massive! My fish and chips was yummy with salad and chips sooo bloody good! My daughter had chicken burger the size of that was just impressive and she said it was so tasty. The beef burger was good real meat not the cardboard type stuff. Really good meals we be seeing you next Monday as well. Well done Northwest Slate so tasty.😋
K.Absolutely amazing food - sizes are huge. My fiancé and I shared a starter (chicken roti) and we both could not finish our mains (BBQ ribs and beef burger). Staff were friendly and food came out super quick. Atmosphere is welcoming , cosy and modern. Extra bonus - we got to play a couple round of pool after dinner - will definitely be back for more - thanks team :)
D.Super Fantastic food. Pizza was nom. Burger was nom. Oh and have to say the "bowls" we're amazing. The service was great. Played some pool after lunch with our daughter and had a really good time. We look forward to coming here again.

C.My partner and I visited Slate today for some lunch and I was pleasantly surprised yo see they have a vragn burger on offer unlike many of the other surrounding eateries in northwest. Big ups to them for that to begin with!
Once ordered, the food and drinks were very good. The waitress was so lovely and very accommodating of allergies, she even offered to replace the halloumi in my salad bowl with vegan cheese and they made a unique dressing just for me so I knew it was dairy and soy free. You can't really ask for better than that when you're dining out!
Food was well priced, beautifully made and presented, staff were accommodating and the place was clean and tidy. Just one improvement I'd suggest.. A vegan dessert would be amazing. We'll definitely head here again!

N.Amazing food. I especially recommend the buffalo wings chicken (it's kind of Korean-style fried chicken) and the tacos if you like quite strong flavoured tacos.

A.Wow, finally a place that combines my two favourite things...Pool and Food!
Slate has the highest quality pool tables you will find anywhere and an amazing menu. The staff are great and are always checking if things are ok. Great beers on tap and they even make cocktails.
Highly recommend.

j.I think there was enough mayonnaise to honorarly accept them into the indigenous group called Mayo. living in the northern states of southern Sonora, northern Sinaloa and small settlements in Durango. Mayo people originally lived near the Mayo River and Fuerte River valleys

Z.I was lucky enough to hold my 21st at Slate last weekend. Matt and the staff went above and beyond to make my night as special as possible, I did not have to worry about a thing (they literally organised everything)!
I had many compliments from guests on what a great venue it was/how amazing the food was/how great the staff are/how affordable drinks are - just to name a few ☺️
If you are looking for a venue for a special function or even just a great spot for a night out with friends, you have certainly found the place to go. I will most definitely be going back and recommending Slate to all my family and friends!
R.They need to be more attentive to people dining there. We have had dinner 3 times there now and it's always a struggle to get the staffs attention. I still will eat there. The steak may be small but the chef knows how to cook it. Also as someone who has served table's I always took a mental account on what people are drinking. So when I ask for another beer I don't want to be asked by the same person the forth time what beer I'm drinking. All the little things add up. People remember the service long after the meal.

M.We loved everything about Slate Gastropub! The food was fresh and delicious with a wide variety (everything I love was on the menu!) and the staff made us feel like we were VIP’s. The combination of glitz and glamour with a modern vibe makes Slate perfect for functions to lunchtime liaisons 😉
M.Love the food here the service was exceptional, would love to see this place pump but also happy to keep it a chill spot where I feel safe taking the kids to have a few rounds of pool food is freaking delicious no long waits and so much to choose from. Clean and tidy highly recommend as a family afternoon spot!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they definitely set the vibe for the evening. We ordered a variety of drinks of their menu and they all were all presented beautifully. and tasted Great too!
The food is NEXT LEVEL and the chicken nibbles were delish!

B.Nice place good pizza's went with my son and his mate. But just a little to dark inside. Tried to take the wife and my cousin from Perth there a few days later, both said its street appeal was not appealing just looks a bit cold.

Food is unbelievable, great selection of beers, staff are nice and friendly and the pool tables are probably the best quality of pool table you will find in any pub across New Zealand! Definitely going to make my trips here a lot more regular! Highly recommend!
