What a surprise secret gem, ordered the lamb shank and it was wonderful. The meat literally fell off the bone when you cut it. Juice, tasty and delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming. Music on point. A delightful experience. Victor our waiter made us feel like special guest. Great evening.

Love this place, every time I'm around I eat there. Very good food, reasonable prices, very friendly staff. Try the mussels!

Good value for money but meals are nothing like the brochure! The seafood was overcooked and the veg were from the freezer. However the service was good. There were lots of customers because it's one of the only places nearby lots of cheap airport motels. The atmosphere is noisy but friendly.

We had a wonderful experience. Quick polite service. I had a medium rear Scotch fillet cooked to perfection and the ambiance was lovely. Thank you the staff at The Bar & Baa

Food is amazing ate every last bite, glad we saved room for desert as the chocolate mousse is to die for! Honestly best hot chocolate Ive ever had - even with the coffee machine being down. On top of that very friendly and welcoming service, chill vibes - will definately be back again!

Nearly didn't go to this place due to the adverse comments. We were picked up from a local motel and dropped off - all complimentary. We were suspicious. It was a Friday night and lively. The staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered a 10oz fillet steak and a Greek chicken dish. Both excellent. We had 3 beers at NZ 7 and a bottle of wine for NZ30. Bill came to NZ102. This was quality food, with drinks at a good price. This is not a fancy place, so dress casually.

Fantastic food. Was picked up by courtesy van from Auckland Airport Lodge and delivered home again. Had Roasted Lamb with gravy and veges. Also mussels with chilli sauce and oysters. Beautiful. Excellent service too.

I picked up my colleague from the airport last night and the traffic heading back out West was at a standstill so rather than sitting in it we decided to find somewhere reasonable to eat. Didn't quite expect to find what we did. Really quite surprised at this wee hidden restaurant. Staff were nice and friendly and efficient and not overbearing (hang around like flies) like some waitresses/waiters do. Our meals were served promptly. No long wait for it. And the food!! Yummiest shank and mash. The meat just slid off the bone. It was absolutely delicious.My colleague had the steak and he commented several times on how it was cooked to perfection. You know it's good when he says it is. Was an enjoyable meal and a bit of quiet timeout from the traffic. Pleased to find that when we left the motorway was completely clear so made for a nice quick trip home. Will definitely be back now that we've found a great spot to wait out the traffic. Ngā mihi

Staying at Auckland Airport Lodge, hungry as! We grow our own beef so it’s always a bit of a risk ordering steak when away. Ordered the giant t bone steak meal medium rare to be delivered.Was really good, perfectly cooked, just onions, gravy, chips, 2 perfectly soft fried eggs and garlic bread ( done as a bun) was yummy. No veggies but a fantastic filling meal washed down with a beer.Thanks guys.

Due to the location of this small restaurant with a licensed bar Costs generally are above average; Not well located the restaurant needs to maintain either a high standard or a tongue in cheek attitude that amuses and entertains customers without annoying them and subsequently stopping them from returning. Luckily the maitre'd manages to do just that. Certainly I return not for the ambience, but for his tongue in cheek humour. If your careful what you order, and return enough times, you get to impose your own standards and enjoy a pleasant restaurant experience.

Staying right next door at The Naumi, seen steak & seafood, so we went to go and investigate.. prices looked good so we dined in. Excellent service all round. ordered 2 garlic breads, x2 Giant steak meals & x2 butter chicken meals..dinner for 4. Only $89 bonus. We would deffinatly go back. Good hearty feed. Not looking for fancy..Which it wasn't, but it was good tasty food for the price. I think it took about 10mins max..and we were served our meals. Short wait even with a full restaurant. Thanks

Went there with my brother and sister in law on Wednesday night. Greeted by a lovely man who was friendly and just a really cool guy with great hospitality service with a huge smile. I am not from Auckland but I know my brother loves this place.

Every meal we've had here has been great. Consistently good food and great customer service. We make a point to come back here for every visit to Auckland. Look forward to our next meal here.

We all came here for dinner for my sister's 60th. The service was excellent and we all enjoyed the meals we ordered. Thanks for making our night enjoyable for such a large crowd.

the minute we got off the car the steward was outside and ready to explain the entire menu with suggestions to us. we decided to go and try something new. this is a greek style casual restaurant. the food was good. the waiters were friendly.

We were staying over in one of the Hotels close by and were looking for a decent dinner!! We couldn't have asked for more.. Comprehensive menu with a bar as well! We had lamb shank and the food was excellent!

Service very good but bordering on being too much. I’m just not into over enthusiastic sales. The food was a bit disappointing. It was OK - but not up to the hype. The range of drinks wasn’t that good and a bit more expensive that other local establishments.

Short walk from the Holiday Inn. Very friendly people with good food. I had lamb cutlets and my wife had a Scotch fillet. Both were well prepared and tasty.

Had a very yummy surf and turf one of the best I have had the hosts were great. Only small down side chips were a bit salty but then I don't eat a lot of salt. Will definitely come back when next up this way

Good little Greek influenced restaurant near the airport. Located in a little retail centre. Beer and steak were good - steak arrived blue, as ordered. Coffee was a bit of a disappointment, ordered espresso, filter arrived and they didn't seem to have espresso.

Came for dinner. Very friendly staff. Good variety in the menu and very tasty Price of food and alcohol very reasonable If you are staying near the airport this is the place to eat!

Get the steak with the pepper corn source. I'm an addict, I can only think that the people who didn't 5 star this don't get what I get cos I've ordered it 50+ times and it's 5 stars every time. 03/11/18 update- just found mud cake is also amazing.

Cannot rate this place highly enough. Great service (picked up from our hotel and taken back afterward), gorgeous food then to top it all off ..... my daughter left her mobile phone and they went through every possible effort to make sure it was returned. Next time I'm in town, I shall be back!

Amazing food and even better service. We go here everytime we go to Auckland. Great location near the airport. Their peppercorn sauce on the steak is the best in the country.

Good food. My wife had the lamb shank and I had the loin chops. Delicious. They picked up us at our hotel and drove us back.

fish of the day and the special sauce id what you need to try. convenient location near Nayumi and Holiday Inn hotel for tourists. can dine here in the evenings about a 5min walk from both hotels

If you go there the chicken breast meal is to die for have been coming here for years good and friendly service 👍👍👍 Bobby is sooo welcoming

Hearty fare that's close to the many accommodation spots close to the airport. Go in for a drink and meal before if you have time before take off. Don't expect haute cuisine but this is not what it's about

Food was great. We share the seafood platter. Staffs were friendly and helpful. They know what to suggest to us.
