M.We came here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the bush cottage, which was separate to the main beach house. We loved it as it gave us privacy and a view. There are a few steps uphill to get to the cottage but totally manageable. Pack light. Chris and Camila were amazing. Very hospitable and accomodating. Chris was so very kind to bring us drinks to our room. We can’t thank him enough! Fabulous hosts. The chef was exceptional. And she also makes an excellent vodka soda and fresh lime! Loved it. I would have to say the best food we had in a long time. We had the prawns and the pork belly dish for entree and mains fish snapper and the vegetarian mushroom dish. It was out of this world delicious. Breakfast is included in your stay which is fabulous. Takes the thought out of it. Breakfast was also amazing! Presentation of all the meals were fabulous! We had a really lovely time and will be recommending to our friends.

The staff are so welcoming and kind and the views are to die for. The bedding etc is exceptionally comfortable and everything here exceeded our expectations.

A.We were at The Beach House just before Waitangi Day and had the greatest experience. We were greeted at the pier when we got off the ferry. Our room was excellent and had all amenities you could think of. We had some of the best seafood we have ever eaten sitting outside looking at the beautiful ocean. My wife has a dairy allergy that they took such detailed care to make sure everything was prepared properly. The three course dinner was sublime; each dish was better than the last. We were taken care of so well from start to finish we didn't want to leave.

J.Karina and Luke were fabulous hosts. Karina is an amazing chef who catered to our need. Nothing was to much trouble. We were treated as though we were the most important people staying. It is the most beautiful place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone. You can do as much or little as you like.

G.We came here for our honeymoon in 2018 and had the worst experience ever with diggers digging up the beach, generators going and no respect for us as guests. Luke and Karina have since taken over and offered for us to come back, we have just got back from our weekend away and it was a totally different experience, so relaxing, no maintenance or disrespect! the food was delish and Luke knows so much about where it all comes from, which is awesome to support NZ local businesses. The room was amazing, we had a beach front room and it was stunning with aircon for the hot nights, and probably one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in. Coffee machine in the room was awesome and all of the added extras were not unnoticed. Perfect place to go to unwind, try your hand at paddle boarding and finish a couple of books. Thanks so much Luke and Karina you are definitely doing an awesome job with the place.
R.Amazing place in paradise. We came with our boat a d enjoy the best dinner we"ve ever had in New Zealand. Service was excellent and prices fair for such an exclusive treat. I am very glad I found this place and definitely we will be back soon!
A.Just an amazing place!! The chef Karina is just amazing, the food is probably the best experience i’ve had on a long time on a « gustative level » ! Luke the manager provided an awesome service and amazing cocktails ! If you need a place to relax and enjoy, the beach house is the place to go to !

Alan and Vicky are great (natural and very experienced) hosts and just really good humans. The setting is crazy beautiful, weka running around the complex, easy walks through pristine NZ bush to the wallabies and the views. Rooms are a tasteful blend of luxury and beach house. There is everything you need on the beach to splash about in the sheltered lagoon in the sun. Be warned - you will need to work off the food - Alan is an awesome chef often seen visiting the tables to check that he has every detail right and according to your satisfaction.

R.We wanted a desitination wedding without making our guest pay a huge amount of travel - and discovered The Kawau Beach House. As a frequent business traveller, and a marketer, my expectation can be pretty high - but Katie and Zane far exceeded our expectations for the day. Nothing was a problem, they took so much of the stress of the day away from us, and everything went smoothly. Katie is a talented host, and Zane's cheffing was incredible.
I reckon the proof of a good wedding is in the desire of the guests to want to come back again for their own wedding , or suggest they'd like to return to stay - and that was certainly the case with our group of people.
Completely recommend for weddings, events, corporate functions, family events and reunions or just for a special meal. Thank you Katie, Zane and The Beach House.

B.Stunning location...gd service...I wish they had a full menu but understand due to remote location it's off the beaten track and the trade would b sporadic...otherwise gd selection of drinks and the cheese board was great...gd place to kick back...soak up the views...impress friends...its exclusive and special....nestled in a stunning bay ...if u have a boat or helicopter it's a wonderful treat

We stayed at The Beach House at Living Bay.
Since we arrived at the pier, they were waiting for us with a smile and a landscape that conveyed beauty and peace.
The bay is a small and quiet place to go and relax, but for those who like to do more than just the beach, there are also some trails to do some trekking.
At the lodge they also have kayaks for guests.
The guys at the inn (all) have been able to advise us very well. You can tell they know where they are and they really love it and love what they do. That shows in every detail.
Cristian, Camila, Sofia and Antonela have been excellent hosts! Each task carried out has the stamp that it was carried out with love. From the reception, through the delicious food, the service to the cleaning of the rooms.
The lodge is in perfect harmony with the place where it is located. Cleanliness, order, a beautiful energy that does not contrast at all with the beauty and harmony of the place.

No estábamos siquiera al tanto de la existencia de la isla Kawau, pero por una de esas hermosas casualidades de la vida, fuimos a pasar unos inesperados días allí.
Nos hospedamos en The beach House en vivían Bay.
Desde que llegamos al muelle, nos estaban esperando con una sonrisa y un paisaje que transmitía belleza y paz.
La bahía es un lugar pequeño y tranquilo, para ir a relajarse, pero para quienes gustan de hacer algo más que playa, también hay unos caminos para hacer algo de trekking.
En el lodge tienen también kayaks para los huéspedes.
Los chicos de la posada (todos) nos han sabido asesorar muy bien. Se nota que conocen el lugar donde están y realmente lo aman y aman lo que hacen. Eso se nota en casa detalle.
Cristian, Camila, Sofia y Antonela han sido unos anfitriones excelentes! Cada tarea realizada, tiene la impronta de que fue realizada con amor. Desde el recibimiento, pasando por la deliciosa comida, el servicio hasta el aseo de las habitaciones.
El lodge esta en perfecta armonía con el lugar en el que está ubicado. Limpieza, orden, una energía bellísima que no contrastan para nada con la belleza y armonia del lugar.
Estamos muy felices de haber descubierto este lugar y lo recomendamos fuertemente. ❤️
