Good food and great service. We were relaxing after our meal not realizing they had closed. The staff waited for us and another couple before humbly informing us that they were closed. Customer service right there and the staff are kind and humble :)

An amazing night at the Good Home, catered for our large group on a quiet Sunday night. Food was amazing, the burgers were another level, beers were flowing and I treated myself to their amazing cocktail specials. Staff were super lovely and I felt very looked after the whole night. They were great especially when a new person arrived. Definitely coming back

We had a great meal here tonight and excellent service. It was quiet which made it nice and I feel like this place has improved on quality of meals and service since we were last there (maybe a year or two ago).

Love the staff the food is so good I'm doing my daughter wedding there it's so beautiful environment I will prefer there service the staff involved in our entrainment which make us feel we are all welcome

Went there 18/12/21 ,unfortunately menu's were covered in dirty liquid Mark's as happened last visit here. Staff very pleasant, main meals good size, starter platters at 45$ were small for the price. Checked cleanliness of glasses and ok. Use to be a barman, waiter, so know what is expected of.

Customer service on point! MJ Answered our call fast and we arrived 10 minutes later and table was set up for all the kids. Impressed with service and food, MJ carrying everything with a smile and made us feel really welcome. Kids loved the atmosphere and said you have beautiful hair MJ. Thank you for looking after us

Decided to finally give this place a try after driving past on numerous occasions. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We ended up staying for dessert which is very rare. Had the pork belly whilst the wife had chicken. Delicious!

The staff are really friendly and accommodating. We had a large group of 15 however, and the meals didn't come out together and most of us had finished by the time the last two meals were served. Unfortunately it was the birthday girls and one of the older people at the table. They're less forgiving. Husbands steak was Well done instead of Medium rare. Buttermilk fried chicken was perfect, and my polenta fries cooked perfectly. Some dinners had platters which were really generous. Good selection of drinks and they let us bring a birthday cake which was very helpful.

Good service got told about the deals they had without having to ask, good size serving of food and didn't have to wait to long.

Been here a few times now for both lunch and dinner. The real winners are the cocktails - delicious! Food is okay though I think slightly over priced. They have a great ribs deal on Tuesday. Service is always friendly and attentive. Only downside is their platters as entrees are mostly just battered deep fried options.

Good atmosphere and great interior design. I had the Irish pot pie for $22 which tasted great and the puff pastry was yummy but was a little bit simple for the cost. It would have been a bit more worth the price if they had added some more veggies in it like celery and carrots or instead maybe a side like mash potatoes or fries. My friend said the chicken burger for $25 was also a bit bland because of the relish choice. The Margherita pizza and chips were delicious and we really enjoyed the kiwifruit cocktails!

Nive place to catch up with friends and family. Newly renovated to be more a family environment and not a bar.

Professional staff and fine meal for reasonable price. Funky interior design, mixture of a restaurant and a pub. My observation: the best time for dining out here is probably between 6pm and 8pm, as after 8 most of the patrons come for a drink. Well as the name suggests: gastro-pub.

Been living in the west for awhile this would be the first time I’ve come here. Staff very friendly and the waiter as well. Squid was perfectly battered enjoyed it so much so filling, that the chicken parmigiana that I ordered even through was so delicious, I couldn’t help but saving it for later. Will definitely be coming back for more!!

Good quality bar food. Not a huge range available but everything tastes good and was delivered promptly with friendly service. It would be nice if they had a wider selection of beers, especially craft beers.

Went here for a birthday celebration for lunch. I had chicken parmigiana, a generous helping, tasted great and cost $25. Others had their renowned steaks, cooked to perfection and a big meal for $32. One of the best gastropubs in Henderson. Highly recommended.

Hired out part of the bar for a function. Best night ever. Drinks were good not too expensive and platter food was good portions were good value and yummy food. Bar staff all friendly and accommodating.

Great venue, only negative was a barman who seemed to have a chip on his shoulder, or hated his job. Didn't make eye contact amd made me feel invisible. Ruined my experience. Was the guy with a buzz cut and piercings, may have been a manager, coz I noticed a much friendlier staff member trying to make up for his frostiness to mitigate the rudeness. Quite off putting to say the least.

At a few hours notice, the Manager at Good Home Lincoln Rd graciously gave us exclusive use of the private area in the Whiskey Lounge, on the afternoon of a big rugby game, for our family to gather after the burial of our dear Mum. Staff were ready at hand to bring in more tables and chairs and it was the perfect location. Food was very good and we particularly enjoyed the mushroom dumplings and the calamari, which was tender to eat and not overcooked and hard. You made this time for us special and we are grateful.

Food was delicious and plenty of it. Service was excellent, especially the young man that served us. Very polite, cleared the table as necessary and oh so helpful. Especially as the last time I was there was when it was The Lincoln Green. Thank you once again for the fabulous service and foof

It was the first time we had dined here & it won't be our last. We decided at the last minute to go out for dinner to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary. We had garlic bread & squid for starters the squid was cooked to perfection For the main course I had the rump stark & my wife had baby pork ribs Again cooked to perfection & the size of the meals was fantastic. We finished with the chocolate lava cake what a great treat that was Out other a rating of 10 you get a 10 + from us. We will definitely be eating here again. We live local. Forgot to mention what friendly bunch of staff there. The decor of the interior is something to see very impressive

Slow service despite being not very busy. The ribs were not great, small portion and the meat was a little tough.

Great ambience and warm and friendly staff. Always yummy and affordable food..tried the fish n chips in beer batter.. . Nachos w bacon.. Pizzas and of course deep fried calamari. Will definitely try the steak next..

Had an enjoyable meal on Saturday afternoon. Hats off to the chef for again supplying tasty mains of a classic fish and chips and a yummy pizza! All backed up by friendly service from the team.

Great atmosphere. Food served with not much of a wait. Good selection of beers, wines and spirits. Whether you are into the European largers or smaller scale breweries, they have some good options. Food was fine. Exactly what you would expect from fried pub food. Main thing is that is that it is served quick.

Visited the Good Home for dinner last night and was pleasantly surprised. I had last visited it as Lincoln Green and this was a much better experience. The food was expected pub grub and reasonably priced. The beers were broad enough and what you'd expect. We were a group of 4 that were served quickly, had a couple of different wait staff but all were attentive and friendly. Great place to go.

Great atmosphere for either a casual beer or a meal. The menu has a good selection, and the beer options will please anyone. It's a pub, not a club so the music isn't obnoxiously loud meaning you can have a good conversation without shouting.

Popped in for dinner last night, first time since refurbishment. Great improvement on atmosphere sadly cannot say same about food. Plenty of staff on but 20 minute wait for garlic bread and another 20-25 minutes after that for mains was not acceptable. Fish was overcooked but edible, fries were delicious though. Would return for drinks but would not order food here again.

I went to Good Home Lincoln Road just for some late night snack. The atmosphere was quite cozy and nice, and I ordered a plate of nachos and some chicken wings. And they were simply AMAZING! To be honest, I didn't expect much from nachos and chicken wings, but they were really GOOD! The Nachos were especially AMAZING! So crispy and so much cheese, and the guacamole, jalapenos and salsa to the nacho were the perfect touch!!!! It was quite unfortunate that I didn't get to try other food, but I will definitely go back some time soon to try other dishes. The fish of the day was salmon, and it looked so good~~!! I really look forward to visiting this place again :D

A nice place to get a drink with friends. Conveniently located near a bus stop for ease of transport after drinking. Their space is quite open and their servers are very friendly, along with the bar food being delicious with a fair bit of variety.

Nice. Newly redecorated. Food’s pretty good, drinks are pretty standard. Sky sport on TV screens visible in most areas. There’s an inside kids play area around the back for those with families. Staff are friendly.

Went there on Saturday arvo. Lovely young lady served us and had good sense of humour. Had shared platter.....soooo yummy and good value. Good follow up table service also. Excellent refurbishment done. Large play area inside for kids. Oh....Nice cold beer too.

The beer selection isn’t bad and the decor is amusing to say the least. But the food is both bland and overpriced. Also the whole place smells strongly of commercial cleaning products, it actually smells exactly like the motel next door.

Food and drinks were really really expensive. We had a function and they blocked off the back of the space for us, unfortunately it was a costume party and walking through all the seated patrons was really uncomfortable. More of a family restaurant with a bar than a pub. Lots of activities for children, with a specific play area

Good, just really expensive, like Central Auckland, at the viaduct during peak season expensive. As an example, three pints of their tap beer (little creatures) was $42! Bit silly in that regard. Staff are great, atmosphere great, they've done it up well. Our office would certainly go more often if prices were reasonable.

Gorgeous spot with good drinks and decent food. Really love the decor! A bit pricey on the food, but not outrageously. Will definitely be back!

All the food looks amazing. I got curly fries, but wished I was more hungry as there were at least 4 other things I saw that I would have loved to try.

Had the spare ribs for dinner, was really tasteless, most of the 9 meals we all order were. Great atmosphere and place but not for a main meal again.

Its ok to have a few drinks and meal just 1 thing that bothers me is y they dont turn heaters on during the cool evenings to make it a bit more cosier b4 customer's ask otherwise yep will be back

Very attentive and friendly staff. We're here for our Christmas staff function and I'm very glad to be here. There's a lovely ambience, friendly chatter and a soundtrack playing in the background that's non-intrusive and just loud enough to have you tapping your foot along to the sounds. Upside: Starters, a few of the mains.. Downside: Dry steak(try eating that with a butter knife) , mediocre service(not a busy restaurant).. Been here often but this time was not upto the standards)

Friendly smiley wait staff who were helpful and prompt, plenty of seating for a Friday lunch. I had the fish & chips and holy moly what a generous helping for the price, my friend however ordered eggs benedict and was extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with it. On the whole for my meal and drinks, very enjoyable!

Went there on a hot sunny evening before going to a movie. Place was nice and well presented. Staff were friendly. The only thing which really let it down was the wafting of cigarette smoke from the outside into the restaurant. Smokers can enjoy the pleasure of outdoor dining but non-smokers have to try and hide away from the stench. Unfortunately this wasn't possible as the light breeze pushed that stink into the restaurant. Could only stand to stay for one hurried drink then had to escape.

Fresh and pretty new.. used to be the old Lincoln Green. Good drink selection decent food and a relaxed atmosphere make this a cruisy place to have a pint and solve the problems of the world with a mate or three.. actually one might want two pints to do that. Can recommend.

They're trying to get better. I can tell. Not quite super great yet. We got warm chicken, they said they'd bring us a hot one if we mentioned it straight away. However, I reckon they need some kind of gift card system. So that they could say, here is $15 on the house for your next visit etc etc and give it to people upon receiving feedback. Then they just note that detail and improve next time. Many NZers don't like conflict and would rather just eat what they're given than complain and have to wait for new food. Who better to give vouchers to than someone whom you want to give you a second chance. Perhaps your gift cards can even double as a membership VIP card. They store money according to visits and can have money added just like the subway gift card. Good luck guys! You have potential. You also need some strong systematic training for your waiting staff so they are calm and constant under pressure. Also not every single room should have a TV. Some people want a quiet private space. Can you create booth like environments?

Haven't been out to Henderson for a long time so was really surprised that the old Lincoln green was now a Gastro Pub Called The Good Home. due to having to use the bathroom was obligated to have a pint or 2 must say was quite impressed as this is the first place i have come across that actually adheres to how a Stella Artois should be poured from a tap right down to cutting off the excess froth. well done
