S.Sure, found the staff quite unfriendly.. might have just been tired, but started to literally move the chairs inside and kick us out without notifying us that the store is closing soon or anything. Also, there was a sign to wait and be seated, to have vax pass checked, we were waiting for a while, no one came so just walked in
c.Always great food and great coffee. The people who work there are an awesome team and it's such a bonus to have them here in Beach Haven
M.Awesome cafe, bar or restaurant. The staff are super friendly and the menu has loads of tasty options as well as a kids menu. Quiz night too on a Thursday if you want to test your knowledge. The range of beers and wines are pretty decent for a local. Pop on in!
M.I had heard about their Eggs Bene from all the way across the ditch & they didn't disappoint!! 👌
The space is quite deceiving from the outside, it is huge once you get in, so light & spacious and the Staff couldn't be more welcoming - I will definitely be back!!

I.just went for brunch this morning. it was apparently their first day of making the pancakes from scratch, they were amazing!! really nice and fluffy.
B.Wasn't overly impressed with the service. Granted they were busy. But food order took 45mins for just a bowl of fries. Coffee didn't come at all and had to ask. But it may have been an off day. Was a nice little cafe.
R.ok I guess - normal price for a restaurant. I ordered the Steak which was cooked perfectly but it came with way over salted chips and a salad of lettuce, onions and dressing. My daughter (miss 10) ordered the sliders which were so saturated in grease it was coming through the slider bun. The price was great for what we ordered. Pay what you get. Service was more that a 4 star, they served us before a big table that arrived before us.

R.I went to this place after it caught my eye passing by it so many times. Though crowded, the atmosphere is great - with good interior design and a chill vibe. However, our food took almost an hour to arrive and it wasn't of high quality. The fish and chips only came with one piece of fish (and a pile of chips) and the burgers were soggy. That being said the staff was really nice. They gave us fries, and drinks on the house due to the long wait. Overall I have mixed opinions on General Public so I would give it 3 stars.

R.Very good customer service. Coffee was a bit burnt and sour to my liking but food was great. Spacious and kid friendly too. My daughter accidentally spilt her drink, without asking, they made a new drink for her. Thumbs up for being so considerate and kind. 👍
J.If you like brunch and/or decent burgers you cannot go past the great food and friendly staff at General Public. Very happy with speed of service from ordering to eating. Big breakfast was definitely big and full of flavors.
M.A great team at General Public with very talented baristas - Jesse is a true artiste and the lovely Amy is not far behind. The meals are hearty. A visit here will not disappoint.

N.**STOP THE PRESS** My search for the best cheese scones in Auckland has finally come to a brilliantly satisfying end! And I found them right here on my doorstep, so to speak! The General Public's coffee is amazing as wrll and the staff are so super friendly, welcoming & accommodating. I've yet to enjoy a full meal or experience one of their live music or quiz nights, but I've heard great things about all of these. Please support local and visit the General Public. You won't regret it! 😊
M.Great to see a bar/restaurant in beach haven. Small menu but good eats. Lots of parking around. If you live in beach haven or birkdale you must come for a visit. After lunch you can always walk off the food coma. Nice stroll to the wharf or through the park nearby. Lovely little spot.
