I went from never going here to suddenly all of my mates wanting to go and so I have multiple times in like a month haha. Great for simple drinks after meetings as well as maybe being my new favourite pub to watch the ABs. Burgers are excellent and then the other bar food is good for the games.

Great pub,.. really good service. Had a meeting there and could concentrate on that while bar staff popped by and sorted drinks and food without us having to interupt what we doing and walk up for service. The lamb pie is a sure winner. Parking in area can be tricky but well worth the effort.

So, in the midst of lockdown my boss decided to take me to the first pub he ever went to in New Zealand when he first arrived 20 years ago. Good selection of beers, reasonable table service, there were quite a few in so no issues there, it was never going to be as quick as going to the bar, but the cleanliness cannot be questioned! We had to move tables initially when we arrived due to the clean smell coming from the toilets, but it wasn't until my first visit I realized why! A million and 4 bleach blocks in the urinals, first time ever, in almost 50 years I've had no choice but to whip out my phone to take a photo in a public toilet, but just check this out!! The beer was good, the pizza was also fine, but I've never seen this many bleach blocks in a single place before! Am sure this was a one off and not the normal, and don't let this put you off going to what was otherwise a really pleasant pub, American football on TV, good vibe... Just a bit too clean for me! :)

Great for Friday lunch. We use to do a Friday breakfast on a regular basis but price went up steeply and food quantity down. Have a few new Burgers on the Menu. Some burgers a bit on the dry side would suggest more sources on the burgers

This is a great place! Staff are so welcoming and friendly. I'm a regular and always enjoy the service and tasty meals. Highly recommend and kudos to the staff for doing such a good job.

I'm sure people love it but it was not for me. There are so few tables that aren't high with bar stools which I find uncomfy to eat a proper meal from. It's a pub not a decent restaurant. It was really dark in there really early - great for romance but not for hanging out with friends.One entree order came out wrong but the entree that was right was quite tiny. Probably still fairly priced but just uninspiring! With the main the sweetcorn was freezing - literally. They said it was because I left it last to eat but it felt much colder than just food that had cooled.

Pros: Great pub food. I especially enjoyed the Chicken Parmigiana Burger. There's also a pool table and a dart board inside. Outdoor seating with umbrella cover is nice. It does smell of cigarettes outside. Cons: There is a Liverpool sign above the entrance. Overall I gave it 5 stars. Glory Glory Man United!

There were 6 of us dining, we had booked ahead just in case. When we arrived there was almost nobody else in there. The bar has a nice large TV and several others dotted around for those who like to watch sports. We all chose the roasts, tonight's choice was beef or lamb. Between our group we had the dishes covered. Nobody complained about their food, the main comments were that the meat was quite thinly sliced, and good have been thicker. Our waitress was very nice and patient whilst we deliberated on what food and drinks were wanted. It's a shame that it was so quiet, but being a Sunday it may be the norm. Guess we'll have to try another night to compare.

Pretty standard fare. Not bad but not amazing. I was annoyed that when we ordered food they didn't mention that all their tables were reserved. Seems obvious to me that ordering food implies we want to sit at a table. The staff were friendly but seemed disorganised.

I have always had an excellent experience each time I have ordered food from The Paddington. The staff are incredibly friendly and really go the extra mile for you. I ordered some food today and even though they were actually closed due to having a private function, the chef still cooked for me. As tourists, this was a wonderful experience and one of the best pubs my wife and I found in Auckland. Good food, great drinks, and fantastic service - the staff were helpful, friendly and (gasp) cheerful! We felt warmly welcomed! A lovely, cozy place where guests are family.
