Tha atmosphere is pretty chill at the restaurant but the bar is pretty cool for having a good time. The place is tidy so it's a good sign for a really good quality food. I'm not sure about the history behind this place but I think it's one of the oldest taverns in NZ so that make the place more interesting than other places.

Really awesome ! The ambience is really relaxing. It is worth to visit all the time! Really good meals the Seaford platter was the best ever I tasted so far!!! Highly recommended! And the calamare heavenly taste!! Amazing! Really great experience 5 star to the chef and the staff was really friendly and attentive as well. We will come back here for sure soon! We just loved it !

Great historic building, with a nice variety of indoor and outdoor areas. We found the service swift and friendly, though the venue was a bit too quiet to have any atmosphere. Live music would work really well here.

We had a great experience yesterday receiving such a welcome and attentive help from Sammy and her team when we took our very old mother to the restaurant for lunch They were everything one would expect from a far more expensive restaurant - gave us options of on the deck, somewhere quiet, got extra chairs and tables from storage etc Above all they showed compassion & humility - all for not a lot of money really It was an amazingly memorable experience from a group of people who know what old fashioned “wow the customer” really means
