I spent the evening filming a Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band (who were amazing) at 12 Bar, and even though I was working I still loved the place! There's a young crew behind the bar, where there are HEAPS of craft beers to choose from. The place has a kind of dive bar feel about it which I really like. Out the front is a food truck which I'm not sure what food they serve but it sure smelled good! Definitely going back as a punter to see some more live music asap

Awesome place. Friendly staff! Nice range of craft beers! Some live music on Saturday night which was awesome. The food truck out the front is duper awesome , great menu and great value. Well worth a visit !

12 bar has become a home for me in the last year. Matt and his team do a really good job of promoting and Stomping Nick handles the music so well. It is still growing, but the fresh craft beers they have on tap and the killer sounds aren't to be missed! I have the pleasure of being able to mix bands in this venue and it is an environment which is ever supportive and fun to be in.

Great new craft beer bar with a blues theme. The sister bar to Moon Under Water, the bar offers 20 taps, comfortable sofa seating and a stage set up for bands. Looking forward to seeing this place grow, and if it's anything like Moon it will become a fast favourite.

Just on the fringes of the CBD, 12 Bar is a blues bar with live music galore & craft beer as far as the eye can see. Brought to you by the same genius publican that bought you Moon Under Water in Somerfield. Fantastic vibes and a guaranteed good time. ✌️

Massive selection of Behemoth beers you won't find anywhere else in Christchurch. Great live music venue too and the food truck outside does great burgers.

Amazing bar with a great down to earth vibe. Craft beers and a great band last night. Eat my Shorts! Danced the night away. Very crowded, and clearly a hidden gem within the inner city of Christchurch.

12 bar was a super cool bar to find! Really cool atmosphere with comfy couches for seating and a huge selection of beer drinks for everyone. Even fun games like pool, foosball and arcade games. Awesome little food truck outside for food and snacks and the mulled wine was so good on a chilly day! Definately be back

Great range of drinks. Dog friendly and have vegan options on the menu! Can’t ask for more expect turn the music down slightly in the middle of the day when it’s quieter so people can talk.

Good staff great craft beer, I am a lager drinker/whiskey drinker but really enjoyed there lager. Live bands Thursday, Friday, Saturday cant wait to go again.

one of the best places to be in chch. live music most nights, a huge selection of craft and fancy beers, arcade. machines with street fighter, metal slug etc parked in the back and even a food truck outside full time serving tasty as hell burgers and fries! the burgers are so dam good and even available via delivery express. search beat kitchen.
