Had a delicious breakfast. Although my friend didn't get what she ordered. Friendly service. Good decor. Sun is a bit bright morning time. Gets busy. We were impressed we returned same day for lunch. Plenty of parking.

We had a lovely meal in the carvery, only thing was if you wanted salad and vegetables there were no bowls to put your salad in. You had to pile it all on top of hot veges. We went upstairs to a show and the seats were more comfortable.

Fantastic new facilities thanks to a recent rebuild. Been members for many years but let it lapse through Lockdown and then waiting for the build to finish. Finally got around to visiting today and wasn't disappointed! Light, bright and spacious. Well thought out. I had the small roast which wasn't small! Nice range of local beers on tap as well.

Great for a pint and live gigs. The refurnished bar rooms are amazing. Excellent food, and great staff always treat customers with respect. I am excited to see live concerts in the main halls when the reopen. I am pleased the clubs are rebranding to be more inclusive and attract a more diverse customer base.

Recently renovated to a high standard of style and modern amenities. The service is friendly and efficient. A good range of beers and wines. The menu has something for everyone and a good range of meal sizes and prices too.

This is a very good meeting place though as with elsewhere prices have gone up a lot on the last year. However the rebuild is great.

Nice Club this one. Stopped here for lunch and was served up a great meal at very generous prices. They have all the facilities with pool and snooker plus a great gaming room. Just note it is a chartered club so you need to be signed in by a member or an affiliate from another club. Car parking is out front with HWMC on each park. If you want a nice meal and chat with friends and family this is a good place.

For hornby it has a pretty good workings men club, good location! And has function rooms that can be hired and normally have events in them. The food there is really good! The meals used to be bigger but they are just going with the fancy look, just not as much food! Still good though. Doesn't normally take too long to come out either! Can only come in with a member and they sign you in.

Spacious, clean and lots of eating options. Parking is easy. I ordered pan fried salmon with wasabi mash and vegetables from the menu. It was great for a pub style meal, the portions were generous and the price very reasonable. I ordered a pastry from the cafe and enjoyed that for dessert. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would be happy to eat there again.

Fantastic initial make over of the club. Very good raffles. Bar one person, we absolutely cannot fault the staff . Always welcoming, as if we have come home after a long time away. ESPECIALLY Karen. She is an absolute doll. You can have a bad day, and her infectious joy, immediately puts a smile on your face. That woman needs a pay rise. Enjoy your wedding anniversary trip. You deserve it. Simon is an absolute credit to the club as well. And we can't forget the lovely lad who welcomes us with a warm smile, and lovely welcome. (Apologies for not knowing your name. Next time I'll check and write it in here as well.) Only downfall, there needs to be some sort of wind break and heating in ALL the outside areas.

Really nice place as it has been refurbished. Great service and delicious food. Revisited Hornby Club 5/7/21 and was extremely disappointed with the choice of meals on the menu which has significantly changed since our last visit. In addition the quality of our meals were very poor and far below previous standards. We were not going to make a review but we were asked on leaving if we enjoyed our meal and when we said we were disappointed we were asked to leave a review.

Atmosphere is amazing. The Club is modern, fresh & very comfortable. Bar Menu has best selections & meals are cooked & presented beautifully. Prices very reasonable, staff are friendly & professional. Joining the club at the reception on the way in was so quick & easy. New Club is obviously managed incredibly well. Highly recommended.

Are you a member of a chartered club? RSA, Workingman's Club, then you need to come in and check out the new facilities of my club, and, enjoy the sports on our GIANT TV screen, a great place to relax and enjoy yourselves. Just recently the new Chalmers restaurant has opened together with the concert/Conference center also finished, well worth having a look at.

Had a very good dinner. Ordered shrimp cocktail and fish and chips. There were other more posh items on the menu, but I like sea food. The cocktail was delicious, and the main was a generous portion with a salad that was made well, and didn't look like someone had just weeded the garden and used the weeds. Very nice! UsuallyI just push the rabbit food aside, but I ate all of this. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. There were plenty of tables and excellent bar service, and the biggest, clearest television I've seen in a long time. It would be a great place to watch major sports events. The whole club is being renovated and extended. It will soon be huge! Well worth going, just for a drink or two or a game with your friends. They provide excellent facilities.

It was the first time I was there in the new building and I was most impressed by it all. Very nice place to have a game of pool,or having something to drink or eat. If you want to watch rugby or any other sports, the TV screen is huge. plenty of parking also available

Hornby Working Men's. Club has the best dance floor upstairs in Christchurch. However, the downstairs dancing space is way too small but it does offer spacious and comfortable seating.
