It's a awesome place the publican who serves you what you need the people who drink there are friendly and helpful very welcoming place

Very strange as the menu was restricted to wedges and pizza when I arrived and none of the other items mentioned on the website or in other reviews were avaliable. Seems like a good pub to go to if you're up for either a punt or watching rugby, would not rely on this as your dinner spot from my experience though. Venue was clean, staff were super friendly and the house "H&J" beer on tap was great (+reasonably priced).

Fabulous night at the horse and jockey Quiz night, the fossils Won but that wasn't the best aspect, the highlight was the company the atmosphere and the food I ordered bacon salad and mushroom it was delicious we're great company good price alcohol good price food and a fun night at quiz night

Bit too cramped for my liking and no where to sit outside. The staff seemed friendly until it was my turn to be served but I got minimal attention from the Asian tender who was more interested in her previous conversation. After observing for a time, she seemed more interested in the regular patrons. Next visit to the bar was an older gentleman who was heaps of fun to have a wee joke with before taking my seat again. Might try the Bush Inn bar next, see what their service is like. Oh BTW, good prices for their standard brews and they do jugs too. They have TAB and pokies for those interest

Went for the Monday 2-4-1 steak deal and was by far the best steak i've had in New Zealand. Great value for money. The pizzas looked great too. Will definitely be back.

Good value, good location with easish parking (not sure if I was meant to use the car park behind the building though!!), nice atmosphere. Need to try it one night for steak night!!
