C.Booked for the bottomless brunch and it was okay. You get a bottle of wine, syrups and OJ to make your own mimosa and Bellini, whilst everything else you request from the waitress. The place is really nice however because we booked for a Sunday boozy brunch we were the only customers there so we couldn't really get a good take on the vibe of the place. The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered the MC burger and Chicken burger were were okay. Would like to come back again to see what else they have on the daily.
V.Staff were lovely and I expect the Friday we went is a lot quieter than normal being Red light. However that did provide good comfy seats and an enjoyable drink with friends.
L.We had booked a table for dinner incase it was busy there being a Saturday night, pleased we did as it was a very popular place to be. Wait staff were prompt and friendly, helpful with questions and offered great service. The food was delicious. Salt and Pepper Squid entree was excellent and my rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed our night here and would definitely eat here again.
S.went here for dinner on a Saturday night - it was really fantastic! With the wonderful heater going on the wall it was toasty and warm on a cold night.
The service was also really warm and friendly from the lovely staff. Then when the food arrived it became even better - the steak was perfectly cooked exactly the way I like it - nice and pink in the middle and the chips we sweet and crispy.
All the mains arrived together so it is wonderful to see people that know how to schedule the mains so they all arrive together.
With decent hearty helpings we skipped dessert in favour of a perfectly poured Heinie.
N.Walked in half way thru quiz night. Got most wrong even though not actually taking part.
I had the Buffalo pizza...very yum and had to take some home.
Partner had steak .... corn on the cob looked nice but was still frozen in the center.
Staff were great and made up for it.
Could gave been a bit warmer in the dining area however will come back.
K.Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere here. The staff were super friendly from the get go - relaxed and welcoming. We tried the panfried dumplings and spicy chicken wings. So delicious. And the dipping mayo was yum. Good selection of beers at good prices. We started here before a concert at Horncastle Arena and ended up here afterwards too.
T.Enjoyed a antipasto platter. This was purchased through a grab one voucher, extremely excellent value for money. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, even asking if we required more crackers.
M.Nice staff although they botched up someone's order with allergic requirements. Can't eat outside without smokers nearby.
N.Great service and easy to deal with,Tom the manager was great! We had my son's 21st booked there and with all the covid restrictions it could have turned into a nightmare but instead Tom was great and was super accommodating. Great selection of beers and platters are fantastic. I'd highly reccommend if you want to run a private function.
L.amazing food and incredible service tonight!! A busy night but staff were attentive. We had the fish, cabonara and pork belly and I couldn't recommend it highly enough! Thanks everyone working tonight!!

I had a great time here at Canterbury Techs AGM and end of year quiz night. Morrell and Co. put on some great food and hosted the event remarkably well. The evening went off smoothly and I can could confidently say we all had a good time. This is a great place to host an event.
Do note car parking could be a bit of a walk as they can be hard too find when it's busy.
N.First time going to a bottomless brunch and was definitely not disappointed. We had super lovely staff serve us and the food was great too. All the girls left happy and giggly. Definitely recommend!!
T.Morrell & Co is a brilliant bar to visit with your friends and family. It has a lovely warm vibe, great food, and of course, excellent staff. Our band regularly has played gigs in this bar including one of our favourites, the "Queens of the Stone Age Afterparty". This is a great example of how a restaurant can turn into a lively entertainment area with dancing and great music. Morrell & Co is a very popular bar and is growing as one of the more preferred bars for musicians to play at in the Christchurch music scene.
S.Pizzas were good and beer selection was fine.
The wait time on the food was more than I expected BUT our table did come during an event night with all tables full so it was extreme circumstances.
I did hope there were morrell mushrooms on the menu, but there are not and that's okay.
Yeah, I'd go again and give it another crack.
E.MC Cheeseburger is the best in Chch but desperately needs pickles. 4 stars for the burger as it comes, you can earn the extra star if you add pickles.
EDIT: Now has pickles, 5 stars.
P.Best bottomless lunch I've been to. So nice to have a drinks option. Ie some bubbles for the girls and some brews for the boys. Food was excellent as well. Didn't leave hungry or thirsty.

d.best service, especially with bottomless brunch. Have experience ageism and being limited and not given what we’ve paid for in the past, they gave us what we paid for in terms on drinks & amazing food and were super fun. We love Jesse!!! (deserves pay rise ) we will be back!
R.came here for the first time with a date. service was wonderful at the start. we got served our meals very quickly and food was very good. after they cleaned our mains plates they pretty much ignored us for the rest of the night. a quiz night was OK but we were literally the only diners in the other room. I was after dessert but never had menus brought back. so we went up to pay and left. kinda ruined it. it's like they didn't really want us there.

C.Good experience at Morell and Co. in a warm atmosphere. We were however disappointed by the very salty squid. The rest of the meal was very good, we had burgers with fries and it was a generous and tasty serving.
We didn't know it was quiz night on Wednesday and were a little bit bothered by the noise but it was our fault for not checking beforehand. Just know it is noisy on Wednesday night.

A.Underrated place. Delicious food with a short wait time. Great service provided by friendly staff. Only point of concern was the lack of light. Otherwise wonderful.

S.The best thing I've had in my life is the choco lava cake from Morrell & Co. Even now, I could just close my eyes and be taken off into a beautiful world when I think of all the senses I felt while having that piping hot lava cake with melting ice cream as a mouth watering combination. The staff were so friendly and nice. The place had a romantic setting, with candlelights and good music running in the background. The place was kept neat and tidy, with different types of seating arrangements for different purposes, inside as well as in the open air. Their washrooms too are worth a visit. They're quite unique and innovative.
I'm just dying to visit Morrell & Co again. It's sooooo good! Be it a dinner date, party or a business meet, Morrell & Co is the perfect location for every occasion.

M.Great place to watch the rugby. Fantastic selection of beers on tap. Best to book a table if you are heading to the stadium to watch the rugby or Horncastle Arena for an event as this place is packed pre and post event.
F.Usually a great experience so thank God for the live music as my friends steaks were on the wrong plates (a good thing neither were allergic to mushrooms) and our waitress was either on her first day in the job (which can be forgiven) or simply doesn't like interacting with customers as once our plates were eventually cleared we only saw her when she served the one other table in her section. Disappointing as previous evenings out to Morell & Co could not be faulted!

P.Plenty of room indoors and out. It's a low key, casual place to get drinks and chat with friends. As with most bars in Christchurch these days the bar is themed. This bar claims it's interior is based on the story of the Count of Monte Christo no less and it has a "warm" industrial interior. As with most bars these days the bar staff are happy to make you wait while they carry on their socialising.

Freundlich und schnelle Bedienung. Gutes Essen und viel Platz. Waren unter der Woche dort.. Und es war eher spärlich besucht - für uns sehr angenehm.
