Ok bar, ranged from dead to pumping in the evening, bouncer questioned my teva’s due to management open toe policy due to potential glass on floor, but seems they are only worried about men as same rule didn’t apply to women. Also they have no premium larger on tap

Dogs are allowed inside on a lead which is a huge plus for me. Atmosphere is cool and staff friendly. Food was good pub grub at a reasonable price. Good amount of TVs to watch the rugby on too!

Neat little Irish bar in one of the alleys by the Terrace, always good for pint of Guinness and it has separate busy and quiet areas to entertain people who want a good night and others who want a drink and catch up with friends. Only disappointment is on visits its not that the staff are unfriendly but maybe a touch more of the Irish cheer is needed? Just feels like could be a warmer touch from the staff

The best dining experience of my visit to Christchurch. Not only was the lamb salad the best I've had to date, but I made the awkward request of a mocktail, which was apparently no trouble at all! The staff were lovely, so helpful and attentive and the bartender even wrote down the recipe for my mocktail.

Had drinks, dinner and watched the All Blacks v Tonga rugby game here Saturday week ago. Great atmosphere and great food. The front of house guy / barman was awesome - loved the way he floated around the place all evening chatting and joking with the patrons. He's born for hospitality! The place was warm and welcoming - we will definitely visit again when back in Christchurch.

The food was restaurant quality. We ordered steak, roasted pork and pavlova and they were all delicious. Fantastic customer service too. Highly recommneded!

Called in for a quick drink with the family, as the atmosphere was great we ended up staying for a meal. All meals were fantastic and prices were reasonable. Bar and waitstaff were excellent and very friendly. Well done to the team for creating such an awesome place to go 10/10!

The food and atmosphere were good - I had spare ribs, the meat falling off the bone, the hubby had chicken tenderloin which was very tasty. Can't fault the food. But why oh why were we charged $70 for a bottle of Roaring Meg red wine, whereas the restaurant the night after only charged $45 for the exact same bottle? Grrrr. Seems like a rip off. Nevertheless, food and atmosphere as well as service were very good.

Liked the place so much on the Saturday, we went back on the Sunday for bloody mary heartstarters ❤ and the Sunday music sess💚. Fried chicken was bloody awesome, staff were great as usual, made us feel like part of the family. Slainte X

Best pub in town, lively staff and always sharp service

Heaps of TV screens so no chance of missing the game you want to watch. They serve a range of cider which is a win for me. Good place for evening beers to turn into a night time boogie.

Great friendly Irish bar. Great $15 lunch menu. The Guinness pot pie was very good. Washed down with a pint of Kilkenny. Well worth a visit.

One of the best steaks I've had in 18 years in NZ. My wife's Char grilled chicken salad was also amazing. What a meal. The Irish waitress put us in good spirits as soon as we walked in. Many thanks Alex

Great selection of local and real Irish beer including Kilkenny and of course Guinness! The food was also really really good! I had ham hock that fell off the bone and was absolutely delicious! My wife had the chicken schnitzel! Both were perfect. The chips and salad were also really nice! The service was outstanding! The bartender let us try the different beers and was very knowledgeable about them. The manager also came out and asked us about our meals after we were done and he was genuinely interested in what we thought! Prices were also very good for a downtown location. I highly recommend it!

Took my wife for a meal on a Saturday night since she had been staying in chch since for close to 3 months now since our boys were born premature, so the food was good, the staff were excellent but It was way to loud it was that loud I was not able to hear my wife talking to me whilst she was right beside me.

We found this pub unexpectedly tucked a way in a corner. Just like an Irish pub, great food great aumibance. Expectly the attentive and friendly staff.

Service was a little slow, with a 1 hour wait before food arrived (we were a party of 14 who has pre)booked. Food was nice but still not sure if it was the lamb roast I had ordered as my not was missing

Omg the tastiest Guinness Pie I’ve ever had. Dad and I had the pie and Mum had the roast pork which she said had so much flavour. Excellent service with the food and drinks from Scott, a lovely young man serving us. Do yourself a favour and try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Every week I find myself on the hunt for good stops for a wine and great ambience. The terrace is always full of surprises but The Fiddle offered something very refreshing- the service. I’ve been here a couple of times but on my last visit I was served by your new Bar-man who changed my mind about Central Otago Sauvs and swayed me from the usual Marlborough whites. Hospitality staff can be formal to a point that the only greeting you get is when you come in or when you pay your tab off. Wasn’t the case with PK. Sporadic chats with him through the course of couple hours made me revisit my younger days or talking about music from when we used to play hockey down south. Great laughs and revisits. So refreshing. You will be seeing a lot more of me and I will recommend this place to my friends and family. Great vibe, music and new memories.

Best meal We’ve had since being in New Zealand. All staff courteous and welcoming. I had lamb shoulder with duck fat potatoes, my husband had the shepherd pie (which was enough to feed three people) he absolutely loved it.

Not only is the Little Fiddle well kept, clean and friendly, but the vibes are truly second to none. Greeted by warm smiles and kind faces, the gentlemen behind the bar are infact the ones who deserve to be bought a drink. Top notch lads! As for the kitchen; the irish breakfast was spot on, boasting a blackpudding that, if it hasn't already, should win awards. 5/5 for the Little Fiddle, as traditional as it is contemporary.

Great little pub with an honest and hearty menu, swimming in a sea of Auckland bistro wannabes.. Good on ya. When you find the prices for lunch on the river a bit JAFA move 50 metres back for better beer and nosh.

Great atmosphere, manageress is an angel, we ordered the stew and for 3 of us the meat at the bottom of the bowl was cold, she put it right straight away though three steaming hot bowls arrived shortly after the cold ones were taken away, and it was delicious, meat just fell off the bone and there was plenty. Thanks Little Fiddle Staff, credit to the brand!👍👍

The place you want to be if you're after the best roast beef you've ever had accompanied by awesome staff who always give a warm welcome whilst providing adequate banter, wash that down with a pint of Panhead Supercharger and you've got yourself a recipie to the start of an awesome night.
