I always have fantastic experiences here. Menu changes regularly and is always of a high standard. Staff are lovely and professional. One of my favourite places to dine.

Three of us had a late lunch here today. Good menu choices, food was great. The 2 waiters were attentive, friendly. We sat out in the deck area with another table of 2 guys and a lady who we didn't even converse with. These people left and shortly after the waiter told us all our meals had been paid for by the lady. We were blown away. Was this 'pay it forward'? Thank you for your generosity. Amazing!!! Such a loving gesture, we were so moved.

Great food and great service, we each had different meals and they were all very tasty and filling. Nice environment with well sheltered outdoor tables and unobtrusive but large and clear tvs around.

We waited for quite some time but the food were incredibly delicious. Very flavorful and quite big portions. We were so full at the end. Definitely going back to try out the other dishes! :) Feb 2021 update: Menu has changed since the last time I was there but food was still incredible!!

Came in for the first time and had the Brioche French toast topped with blueberry sauce. I’m confident to say that it was definitely a satisfying experience, the toppings were not too sweet and I was able to savour the whole dish. To finish off the creme brûlée satisfied my sweet tooth. Overall was a good feed and would definitely come back again.

I enjoyed the big breakfast which was 10/10 delicious. I dined with a friend and a new born and the staff where so attentive to our needs they seated us in a good place and smiled at baby to keep her entertained as they walked by (young half cast man was my fav, infectious smile). The staff where singing to themselves on the coffee machine which is nice to see and the music playing was a great vibe for a cafe ambiance. The place was busy and the staff where hustling hard, still had a calm and upbeat environment so bravo to their team leader they are a great foh team. Will be back for sure!

Good food! The buffalo chicken lunch dish was quite stingy with the chicken, but the lamb one was generous, so a bit of a consistency issue here but overall good. If you want to go out and eat clean, the lunch menu has quite a few options 💪

After reading a lot of the other reviews, sadly we did not have the same amazing experience. Ended up here for brunch because the cafe at Ardmore airfield was just so busy. A small menu which I don't mind, but the choices, for me anyway, were ho-hum and actually rather pricey. Hubby ordered eggs bene which was okay as was my Mexican quesadilla - nothing I'd be going back for. The most off-putting thing was the number of flies swarming around our table. I did mention this when we paid and the response was that it's because they're so rural. Not sure that's a good enough response - I can understand if we were sitting outside, but having to chase flies off the rim of your drinking glass and tea cup - not great.

The best lunch I have had in years! There were so many delicious-sounding items on the menu it was hard to choose, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. We landed on the teriyaki chicken bowl and lamb hawker and they did not disappoint! So many fresh and delicious flavours, I just wanted to savour every bite! Will definitely be returning soon :)

My friend and I found with recommendation via Google. The locale has a comfortable atmosphere, though a touch loud. The food was quite tasty and flexible as I’m Vegetarian. I had their Breakfast Burrito substituting mushrooms for the chorizo; and she got the Tuna Tacos...yummy!

Wow this is a fabulous place to catch up for brunch with friends on a Saturday. Just getting out of the city was really nice, easy parking, great food and friendly service, simply added to the experience. There is also a very cool shop next door (that I loved) to do a bit of retail therapy before you head home.

The menu blew my mind a little trying to figure out how the flavors would blend, finally decided on the warm slow cooked pulled lamb salad on couscous with pumpkin beetroot and feta. The lamb was tender and the juices had blended thru the couscous and combined with the other flavors to make the best couscous I've ever tasted. It was hearty and filling winter food, my only disappointment was not having room to fit in the passionfruit coconut and lime and mango dessert. The service was friendly and efficient and a good atmosphere, mainly locals I think, obviously a place well liked and frequented and justifiably so. Farmers market, craft fair and lunch here made a perfect outing on a crisp clear winters day. Highly recommended

First time here and will definitely be back. No pics of our mains as we where ravenous so no time for that. Hubby had the Pork belly and I had the chicken curry. Both took us back home to SA. Wholesome and packed with flavour. The food is definitely made from the heart. The desserts... Well I'm sure the pictures speak for themselves. The ladies where friendly and informative of the menu. As someone that comes from the industry I'm highly critical and from our greating untill our goodbye was flawless.

Great little place, first appearances are deceiving. Staff are fabulous, the dinner menu in particular is great (pork belly!). Would recommend to all for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Had the snacks menu too many times so nothing new to try. A change in that menu would be awesome.

Three of the four meals arrived, however had to ask for the fourth, which appeared to have been forgotten.. 2 x chicken buddah bowls were delicious, as were the dumplings. The beef brisket burger was generous on size, but the beef needed to be hot and it wasnt. Had to continually signal to the wait staff for service. Would be a far better option if staff were assigned to tables and were attentive in checking the needs/wants of the patrons.

This place is a local for us, we’ve been quite a few times now. But I need to put a review up, we can’t fault this place. Every time we go the meals/snacks are on point, the food is fresh, full of flavour and imaginative. (Without being to over OTT) I love how they work the menu seasonally and use local ingredients, the staff are always friendly and welcoming it’s a great place to go. They also have a good selection of drinks and all the people I’ve brought here have really enjoyed it. Definitely one of my favourite spots in Auckland

The food is good and well presented and very tasty. I has asparagus as part of my dish which hadn't been trimmed properly so a bit woody and chewy, salt n pepper squid was a bit too salty but still good. My biggest complaint was the wait. It was a long wait for a coffee and for the meals. Whoever is in charge please get your front of house staff to talk to your customers instead of ignoring them . Most people will be happy if you tell them there is a delay but your food is on its way.

I've been to this spot many a time over the years. Experiencing it's different ownership. My friend loved her Harpuka meal. For me I've got to say the burger patty was very dry and if one thing happens it generally comes in two's I had another problem with my meal which was no fault of the staff/chef all I'll say is that when I pointed it out from a safety issue they where very appreciative on the information. The atmosphere out here is always great and again dog friendly.😀

Been there with my mates after a 50km ride from Auckland, was really glad to find a place to have lunch at 2pm on a Sunday! The place is lovely and while they didn't have everything that's on the menu, what we ordered was delicious and well presented. Really great for a pub meal!

A tasty breakfast in a warm and inviting village setting. The food, wholesome, well proportioned, beautifully prepared and presented. The staff welcoming, attentive and courteous. The decor, including the rustic barbed wire light shades and wonderful original art pieces on display enhances the country ambiance. The coffee fantastic. However we went to the clevedon hotel the next day and the food was no cheaper than the corner kitchen but no worse and perhaps even more value for money. Plus we felt more welcome. ..I would definitely go back but would go to the hotel firstly.

Wanted to try out the new menu so arrived for an early dinner with 3 other guests and enjoyed pre-dinner drinks out on the new deck. Impressive wine list and some interesting beers to choose from. Lovely setting on the deck with the last of the days sun streaming in and surrounded by the foliage. Service was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Moved inside to a booth for dinner. New layout inside is cozy and provides for intimate seating. Oysters with Kahawai pate was superb. Dumplings to die for. We shared these two entrees amongst the 3 of us. I chose the ribs for my main and this was also superb. Can't remember the name of the accompanying red wine (which was recommended) but it was just right. Service continued to be excellent and my companion's mains were also raved about (Salmon and Beetroot, and the Pork). We'll be back, for sure. Highly recommended.
