The vineyard's setting is truly idyllic, with rolling hills, lush greenery, and the majestic Southern Alps providing a stunning backdrop. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable staff, who were eager to share their passion for winemaking.
The tasting room itself was cozy and inviting, with a rustic charm that perfectly complemented the vineyard's surroundings. I opted for the classic tasting flight, which included a selection of their award-winning Pinot Noirs, as well as a few other varietals.
Each wine was expertly presented, with detailed explanations of its unique characteristics and flavor profile. The wines were truly delicious - some of the most aromatic wines I’ve ever had. Carly was great with introducing the wines. We personally loved the Chardonnay, Pinot Noir Rose, Cross Breed orange and Pinot noir. The grazing platter was also delicious and great as a light lunch for two of us.

a. b.This is my new favourite winery in the area. The wines are top notch, the scenery is beautiful, and the people who run it are amazing. It's great wine with a very down to earth and easy atmosphere. The winemaker and vineyard manager are husband and wife and hang around chatting with guests. They are very involved and super friendly. The host knows so much about the wine and is also very friendly. Lovely snacks are available too. I'd love to come back!
E. F.I visited Nanny Goat on New Years Eve with 5 friends and had a fantastic time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the $12 wine tasting was incredibly reasonable and generous and the platters were tasty. The crackers and bread were a bit underwhelming compared to what they accompanied and it felt a bit strange to be eating sausage roles and small pies at a winery but overall, for a group of non wine connoisseurs, we had a great time! Who doesn’t love giant jenga? Looking forward to going back when the wines have matured even more!

Stunning scenery in a beautiful setting. The decor is clean, minimalist and doesn’t try and compete with the surrounds
The bathroom was lovely and the sign made me laugh (use the bathroom it will then make sense)
Our host was welcoming. Everything from booking our table online to asking for a coffee at the end was easy
We opted for a tasting with a platter. Nothing was rushed.
The food- wow. What a great way to sample local produce
And the wine. That was wonderful. The Pinot Gris was my favourite.
We were recommending the Cellar door experience to people all over the world before we had even left!
