K.Amazing country hospitality. Great place to stop off at on the Clutha Gold cycle trail. Amazing burgers, up there with the best I've ever had. Rose behind the bar is a truly outstanding team member, she helped us out of a bit of a jam and offers true southern hospitality

S.Very nice small camp tucked away behind the hotel. Facilities in camp are very clean. Good size showers with good water pressure. Pub serves good meals. Menu offers a wide variety of choices. Surroundings both within the pub and camp are very pleasant.
J.Amazing country pub who genuinely cares about their patrons. Food was incredible as we ordered every platter available and none disappointed, service was equally as great! Would give 6 stars if I could! Highly recommend!
L.This is a typical kiwi hotel, pub and campground. Great location to do the local Clutha Gold cycle trail and enjoy a fabulous dinner. The menu is extensive and our food was really delicious with very generous portions and great prices. We’ll plan to stay here again.

A steak sandwich is literally an entire high quality New Zealand local steak.
The oil everything is fried in is clean... so you can actually enjoy the chips and feel great afterwards. The buns are a real brioche.
The first night we came we had the lightest and best made fish in chips we’ve ever had. The ribs were amazing. The portions are great and the prices are amazing. Everything is local and fresh. You can just tell that the chef takes a huge pride in cooking everything perfectly.
My chicken sandwich had a local apricot jam. Reminded me of the nuggets/sweet and sour combo at Maccas... without any of the weird preservatives.
The service is fun and kind. Really looking forward to throwing a party and hunting/camping here. We played pool. The table was perfectly kept so it was a fun matched game.
They have a big menu with good vegetarian options, too. We’re both carnivores so we’re in heaven. It’s really nice how the batter on our wedges was well seasoned. Honestly if I lived nearby I’d go at least a few times a month.

C.This was a bit disappointing. The couple running it are very pleasant and do everything they can to please. I understand they purchased the property 2 years ago and are renovating it.The room was well decorated and bedding clean. The furniture and hall way are, oh so tired, and in need of a coat of "white" paint to brighten up the place. The biggest disappointment to us was shared facilities toilet and shower although the new shower room was good. If I were offering advice to change our view it would be sacrifice a bedroom and from 3 rooms provide 2 en suite rooms.
On the very positive side the evening meal was fantastic and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the stay but it could have been better and may be will be as renovation continues.
S.Called in on a sunny afternoon in May - a country NZ Pub - welcoming staff, had a drink and bite to eat...spent a couple of very pleasant hours here.
R.This is a typical NZ tavern. Does what it says on the tin with no bells and whistles. The food is good and the bedroom, bathroom and toilet were spotlessly clean. Cannot fault it but as with most NZ establishments a bit dog eared with mix and match decor and furnishings but service is as good as any with friendly staff always with a warm welcome!!! Very useful for the Clutha Gold Trail.

F.What a great place to stay. A great place to stay on the Clutha Gold Bike Trail. The day we biked there it was very wet. We were able to wash our bikes down and ourselves of all the muck. The owner washed and dried all our cloths. Our shoes even dried in front of the big heater in the dining room.
The service and meals were fantastic.
D.We ( The Inver- e's ) did a return cycle ride from Beaumont to Millers flat. The pub was kind enough to let the ladies in the group use the restroom before it was even open so we promised to call in for a drink on our return. It was great to see so many locals coming into the pub for dinner and a drink.
It reminded us of what country pubs use to be like.

J.Looks like the owners are trying hard to upgrade. Unfortunately we arrived the day after a big party and the toilets and kitchen were not as clean and tidy as they should. Interesting spot close to the big river bridge. Also quite close to the State Highway which can be noisy.
B.Good meal at sensible prices. Their Kumara chips are superb.
E.We had a delicious roast meal and dessert served by the friendly staff.There was a yunga fire on which was most
welcoming.We would go back.Thank you Staff.

R.Stopped here as part of a motorcycle run. The staff were friendly. I can’t say I spent too much time inspecting the place but I’m sure it has a lot of history behind it. Nice location by the river too.

L.A rainfall over all the South Island caused massive floods and we were trapped in Beumont from both sides. We were a party of 60 people in a bus and van. The owners opened their doors and let us sleep in all their free beds and on the lounge floor for FREE!! We were up late exchanging stories and we all left with a great smile! Thank you Beumont!
C.Cruised up to Beaumont Lawrence area for a day of photos and stopped by the hotel for a beer and a feed had the Beaumont beef burger very tasty great atmosphere and lovely staff just like it was when I was last here in 2011 👌 I'll be back to try the wrap
