The best venue in dunedin right now, ESPECIALLY in the more underground electronic music scene. Have had the honor of DJing here a number of times. Always great vibes and awesome decor.

me and my friends have been to lots of gigs at the Cook, and always have the best time. As well as great music, the bar staff are so amazing, especially the manager she always looks after us and it is our favourite place to go out. Much nicer than any other bar in town.

I like the Cook, but of course I've been going there since the late 70s and it is an icon. The new owners are giving it a really good go as a music venue and good luck to them. Food is good, choices of beer are excellent, staff are friendly. Highly recommend.

Bringing some joy back to Dunedin! This pillar of North D, is revamped to a classy establishment with some fine selection of beers on tap, top notch dining and an warming atmosphere that makes tou feel at home. Upstairs is the a great music venue and throws a mean gig!

THE Scarfie pub! The Cook is a welcoming pub for students, staff, locals, and visitors. It's impossible to spend any time at The Cook without having a great time. The mood is always spirited, and the crowd is always fun. A visit to Dunedin isn't complete without a pint here. Even short-term visitors will be comfortable making The Cook their regular place while they're here!

Nice pub. A proper pint. Nice booths but when your neighbours are loud it's hard to hear. Great staff. Highly recommended

An excellent music venue and bar. Good facilities, atmospheric pub-muso vibe. Just what Dunedin needed.

Nice beers, great staff and tasty food however portion sizes a little small for the money imo
