Although the pool is working under level two and there is no showers, drinking fountains or spa, I am grateful that they are open. The staff are extra welcoming. There are restrictions on numbers in at a time, this is to keep us safe. I like that you can buy a multi ticket and get a good discount.

Moana Pool is a good pool though the building itself could do with a lick of paint and a clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the wave pool looks a lot of fun.

Fantastic facility available to just about everyone. Staff are great and while place looking a bit tired in places its always clean and cheerful. Appreciate clear covid19 rules and physical distancing. Website could use more timely updates so folks know what levels are in place before arriving. Still a local gem!

Great urban city pool complex. Large pool for laps, diving areas, smaller kids pool, whirl pool, water slides. Gym on site. Family changing areas near kids pool. Offers lessions and water activities such as aqua jogging.

Pretty good. Good price, fun for all ages. Has a hot tub and two hydro slides. Great diving boards and pool. Keep in mind it gets packed quickly, plan your visit smartly! I recommend evenings, that’s the quietest.

Is a nice place for children but too much restrictions with regard what bracelets you need for certain swimming activities.

Pretty awesome facility. Warm, clean. Friendly and helpful staff, plenty of 2hr car parking.

Its a great place to take the family, or my clients that like lane swimming and aqua jogging. Just a shame you cant have showers at present time.

Great pool, would be even better with a sauna

Fantastic! Great activity wave pool, waves start at 10.30am ( I think, definitely no earlier than 10.00am) massive lap pool split in half, old and new diving pools, guards more than happy to open diving boards up. Classic fast and slow water slides. Massive men’s and women’s changing rooms, heaps of family rooms with showers. Small spa? Also has a gym! Good parking and drop off area. Good work Dunedin!!

Great set up for a full working gym facility and pool in one place

Facilities getting dated. Very expensive now. Men's changing rooms need to have something for privacy when changing kids. When the main door is open you can see in from the reception area, and people changing are in full view.

Great swimming pool....several pools and a gym up top, friendly and awesome location.

Moana pool is great. No line up for the water slides, the family pools are nice and warm. We had 4 kids with us age 7 to 11 and they didn't want to leave after 2 hours plus.

Really, really love it here. My daughter learns swimming with 'Just swim'. Small kids pool, separate learning pool, jumping pool, long lane pool, slides (I did not try yet). Staff is really friendly, Life Guards are changing positions often and are really focused. Great Family changing rooms with shower in different sizes. Go for it!

How lucky we are to have this recreational place in Dunedin! After a hard swimming 🏊‍♂️ practice, relax in spa pool/jacuzzi will bring a nice end to your day. Can't wait to see $16 million renovation in effect!

Heaps of fun, staff very alert and professional. Kids had a great time, loved the hydroslide, wave pool and floaties in the lap pool. Awesome affordable fun

Fabulous place to tire the kids out on the hydroslide and the wave pool, although the waves seemed a lot tamer and ran shorter than they used to. Its long overdue to have a proper cafe though!

Took granddaughter to swimming lessons. I must say that the staff from the front desk to the swim teachers were amazing, so helpful and friendly.

Started swimming class for my wee one and was a great experience....he did really enjoy it 😍😍😍

Still a good classic place. With the 'new' dive pool theres much more space for the aqua jogging and aqua fitness, while all the space in the main pool for lane swimming and school groups. Spa and the fountain provide lovely post fitness water massage and relaxation. Looking forward to trying the gym again

Moana is always a hit with the kids. Wave pool starts at 10am, river rapids are fun to speed around on on a floaty device, various water features for the kids to play in. 2 big waterslides for the bigger kids, toddler pool, lap pool, learner pool and aqua jogging. $12.50 for 3 adults and 3 under 5s. Great facility!

Nice and very well organized pool, friendly staff... And even a great #motivationalmonday on the board today ! There is also a gym.

We had our daughters 10th birthday party at the pool today. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, NO time limit and it was so super affordable and the birthday girl was FREE!!! Would highly recommend having a party at Moana Pool.

Pretty clean changing rooms, sucks that the hydro slides are open on weekends and holidays. We only went for the spa anyway

Great place to have a swim and slide, just in need of the upcoming fixups and structural support fixes especially on the hydro slides (just look down at the beams as you go up and you'll see) but other than that you and your family will have a blast!

Great place to take the family. The hydro slides are good fun and the kids love the wave pool and lazy river. The family change rooms are good but I wish the downstairs showers were closed in. As an adult I don’t feel comfortable getting naked and having kids walk past or seeing me get changed in the WIDE OPEN change room.

One of the very best swimming pools out here in dunedin, I'd say the price for swimming is around 100$ for a school term so it's ok

An amazing facility- respectful, interested and friendly staff - who engage with all age groups. Environment is well looked after. A great place to swim and exercise. My favourite place in Dunedin.

Love this pool. Very integral part of Dunedin, especially for families. This pool has something for everyone- swimming lessons for kids, the gym for exercise-lovers, even water activities for elderly folk. Plus the pool itself, of course. I have observed the staff being very friendly, especially when my little sister hurt herself. They were well trained and put her at ease- and it's not easy to calm down a screaming injured child! Much respect! Very nice and clean as well. Changing rooms are cleaned very regularly which is good to see.

Wow, so popular that award level swimmers from around new Zealand come down here to use it, but also a great place for a family day out

Absolutely super public pool. We’ve been to Wellington, CHCH public pools and this is our preferred pool. Needs way more family changing rooms and could do with a cafe but, Roslyn Village with excellent cafes just a stones throw up the hill.

Great place to take the kids for a swim, they have multiple pools with different activities, the hydroslides give hours of fun for the young and old, water is at a great temperature and just so easy to stay all day. There is limited parking on site, but hasn't been an issue to me.

We only have been twice and kids love it. Shame they don't have sauna

Lovely, light-filled facility. Pools are very nice and clear; it was set up as two 25m lengths, so I'd like to come in when it's in 50m set-up. Great to have native bush as a backdrop through the massive windows which make up one wall.

This is a world class professional modern swimming pool with multi purpose for all levels and ages swimmers in Dunedin. I noticed you can get swimming goggle from honest box is useful. There are many pools you can choose. Particular for children it is a wonderful place to go to across the whole year. For me, I liked the diving pool and spa this evening. There is a gym inside the pool as well. Keep fit then just swim !

The Moana pool gym is well-equipped. There are many options for free weights, machines, and cardio equipment. During busier times, there is need for a second squat rack and lifting platform.

Fantastic! Olympic sized main pool,diving pools,fun waterslides and the best wave pool with a fast river that the little ones to adults can equally enjoy...there is more.. learners pool, gym, good food and it's very clean with friendly experienced lifeguards.

Fantastic swimming pool with heaps of features. Dive pools, hydroslides, lane pools, and a huge kids pool with a wave pool and lazy river. Cheap for the experience. Huge indoor space with massive windows, feels open and airy and bright. Highly recommended if you are in town.

Cheap entry with a child 4 or under I believe it is - called toddler time, you pay for the child and one adult goes free. Facilities are adequate but feel a bit dated. Plenty of different pools to choose from. Diving pool, lane pool, wave pool, learners pool, hydroslide. The wave pool has a short river feature, a shallow paddling type pool for the little ones and also a spa up top for the adults. Often come here and will no doubt be back again.

Good warm pool for you and your friends or family to spend time together. Love slider (unfortunately, you have to pay extra to use the slider which is quite annoying for me). But it's not that clean too.

Big pool, lots to do! Gotta wait for family change rooms tho. And any swim gear you need from them is charged at full price. So you might want to be prepared before u visit.

Out door area is boring and pretty small. Pool facilities are ok. Think a beach would be more fun.

Well managed, many pools fits all level/kinds of swimmers, many shower rooms, excellent condition. Plus lots of free parking. Largest pool in the south island, property best too.

There is so much to do here! Lap pools, high and low diving pools, a leisure pool with a lazy river, play fountains, and a wave generator, HUGE waterslides, and a spa pool. There are also special activities: kayaking, underwater hockey, SCUBA diving, and more! Oh, and there is a well equipped gym! A very nice facility that makes a large number of activities accessible to the community.

Such a great little pool! Wave pool, toddler pool, two diving pools, a lap pool, a lesson pool, and waterslides there is enough here to keep everyone busy for awhile. The showers were a little outdated and dirty, but they are in the middle of renovations updating everything so I look forward to visiting again in a few months when it is all done.

Generally great place but needs more family change areas to cope with busy times. Lockers are hopeless, often not working properly. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pool facilities are great but changing and toilet areas getting tired.

Love the pool, love the staff, love the hydroslides, spa, wave pool, lazy river, learners pool, diving boards, swimming lanes and the facility is nicely clean. Definitely recommend visiting. Our whole Whanau loves this pool. Take some change or a chip debit/credit card for some vending machine food or drinks. Lockers are $2 for 2 hours. Enjoy!

Nice place, but need to sort out the air conditioning to get more air flow through the building and a cafe with food and drinks when you have tournaments on would be great.......staff were amazing!

Pool amazing, just a pity that the staff are not very friendly telling me that I cannot take a photo of my grandchild swimming because of privacy of other people I think that is a lot of nonsense

Got told off for swimming under water which was a bit sad 😞 it's the only swimming I do but it would be better if it was signposted so you didn't feel like you were getting belittled. Was told I need someone I know to swim behind me to keep an eye on me. The staff aren't trained as life guards. They are 'pool crew' which I find very disappointing for such a great pool. The staff kept switching positions and I noticed they were passing on the message about me swimming under water as they were talking and pointing at me. Meh

Great place for families. Late in the day the changing rooms get a bit grubby, but otherwise it's an excellent facility.

Good pool, but it would be nice if the men's changing room had the option of private changing rooms like the women's ones do. The lifeguards also have a tendency to be rude to people.

Great facilities, good staff, always clean and tidy, my kids love it. It could do with a cafe, outside the big glass windows, so families can spend the entire day there. Coffee, burgers, chips, cakes, scones etc, would be awesome.

Since losing all their indoor hydroslides to the earthquakes, my boys loving going here when we are in Dunedin so they can get some sliding fun. Copious numbers of swimming lanes provided (the 50m pool is divided into 2x25m pools), a spa, and really good fun area. No sauna or steam room though I think. One thing to be careful of; the stairs down to the changing rooms can be slippery, and require care to negotiate.

Was and still is a great place to swim irrespective of your age. There are different types of pools. Such as the wave pool, diving pool, lap pool, wave pool, learner pool, etc. The gym is also good too with a wide selection of weights, machines, mats and cardio equipment.

Hired the party room heaps of space and room for thirty kids and adults, room super easy to clean.kids having a great time in pool.

Love this place especially during school holiday when kids want to do something with their friends. Nice location, can be busy with car park, but just need to wait a bit for available space to pop up, otherwise, all good.

Go on average once a week. The pool and changing rooms are always clean and tidy. Nice feature is that the pool is heated so always nice to swim or do aqua jogging.

Excellent. Nice pool warm etc. Bit weird that they only allow kids under 5 to join their other-gendered parents. I certainly don't mind an 8 or 10 year old boy in the women's change rooms.

I was there but didn't get in due to covid.

The pool is great and they offer swimming lessons for adults. The gym is also located within the facility. WARNING: Never leave anything valuable inside your car that is visible. My car got broken in the carpark because I forgot to bring my handbag with me. There are thieves in the area watching for people coming in and out of the carpark.

Good front desk and nice pool. My only gripe is the overly strong chlorine in the water. Limits the time you can swim. Actually a sign of poor water treatment.

Awesome hydro slide, one fast and one slow, $32 for a family ticket. Well worth the money. 2 hours flew past. Recommended.

I always enjoy this top facility , I took my grandson this time for a boating program which he very much so enjoyed.. when I was a boy his age we went to the pool in Lower Mora place. Where the car park is now.

Plenty of things to do here. There's a section for smaller children, a larger pool that has a waves section and a fast moving 'river' circuit. Two quite large water slides. There's also a lane pool and a few diving pools.

Great public amenity for the people, was very busy but still comfortable. Lots of options for sport and recreation, and perfect children's area.

Gorgeous facility, plenty of swimming lanes, a spacious hot tub, and two water slides so that you can race whoever you came with and establish your dominance as ultimate champion.

Hadn't been for awhile so was taken back with the new rules concerning children and the new bracelets. The person that served me could do with some customer service training, but as always it is a great place to take children

The staff are great, but it's so dirty the family change rooms smell soooooo bad of pee and poo I take 3 extra towels to stand on and the kids freak out if they stumble off them trying to dress fast as there is always a line of people waiting, the tiles in the crazy river need fixed as both children have cut there feet.

Moana pool is a fully enclosed popular swimming pool and exercise venue.It is open all year round . It also has a cafe to relax in after your experience in the water.

My grandchildren love Moana pool. They love to go there when they come to stay from Te Anau. It's a fabulous asset for the city.

Great facilities and the learn to swim class my daughter attends is fantastic, the instructor is incredibly good with children scared to learn

All the pools today were nice and warm usually main pool is a lot colder.

Plenty of pool space for lots of different activities but some of the water walkers are a bit sour to the younger generation and a few of the reception staff are also quite sour.
