Have been going there for over 30 years. Many different owners and lots of changes over the years. Place looks great, friendly staff. Good food and fast service. Menu has a good range.

Amazing food at this restaurant. We had pork belly, lamb and burgers over a few days. Absolutely beatiful

Had an enjoyable dinner here. The hot buffalo wings and prawn tortilla for starters with the pork belly burger to follow. The burger was particularly nice with the pork deliciously crispy and salty. Service was pleasant and the food came quickly, not that it was busy. Well worth a detour.

only a dinner stop so a short experience. the food was decent pub fare, tasty and plentiful. the place was packed by 7pm. if you're going to holiday in Naseby treat yourself, and whisky lovers will find something new in their extensive range. will be going back in the future.

There is not enough stars to rate this place. The service was next level. Very accommodation staff that were very flexible to our every need. Even offered to run the keys back to our lodge so my wife did not have to walk out on the cold. The food was the best all tound meal we had as a group.

Great meal and a great selection of beers on tap, mainly Emerson's.

Great service and food for an out of the way pub on the railtrail in Otago

The service we received was second to none. The young lady behind the bar was fantastic. She couldn't do enough for us. The food was brilliant and at a good price. Certainly worth the effort to visit. Well done

We had dinner here after a day of exploring the area. This place does more than just your average pub food! Amazing range of options, beautifully cooked meals and superb range of drinks behind the bar! This is the place to go for a great feed and a warm welcome.

A Hotel with all the old world charm & welcome. Had a very nice meal & drinks here. Excellent waitress. They were very busy but managed to fit us in without a reservation. We really appreciated that thank you.

The pizzas here taste/look like my mums exquisite home made pizza! Even when they were low on staff, my food came super quick, and they've got 2 cats with lovely thick fur for entertainment. My dad loved the rabbit pie so much that he can't explain it.

Great place middle of nowhere in a town on only 200 people. Customer service was good. Burger 🍔 was good. I would love it more without the jam in my Burger but it's just me!

Lovely spot for beer, food and relaxation. After a great walk, bike or trying your hand at curling, wander down the road for great beer and some food, what is not to like

It's been serving thirsty patrons since 1863, so thought it only right we should pay the Royal Hotel in Naseby a visit for lunch. We ordered the pork belly burger and the whitebait fritters. Enjoyed sitting in the sun whilst munching down our very substantial lunch, washed down with a bottle of Central Otago Pinot Noir (of course)

Went for a meal when staying at Naseby for a few days. Good mixture of beers and the meal was fantastic and a good price. The place was full by 6pm so get there early.

Booze is cheap and the pub is clean. The food leaves a hungry person wanting more and the vegetarian options abysmally poor. $20 for a burger and chips sounds good but you expect more than 16 chips.

We had dinner/drinks and breakfast here and were well looked after. They managed my partner's gluten and dairy free requirements well. Recommended!

Not been there before an need to revisit this historic hotel and explore the area of Naseby for a weekend. Love thier whiskey display, some very good stuff in there plus a headache or two.

Delicious fried chicken burger with very soft brioche bun. Highly recommended!

Stopped for dinner on Friday night, place was busy. Great food and beer including rabbit pie! A must stop when in Naseby.

Stopped in here for lunch on a cold Naseby day and was pleasantly surprised at both the hospitality and the food. We were welcomed by the owner and made to feel right at home. This cozy and quiet hotel offered a fantastic all day breakfast and my broken egg was followed up with another freshly cooked one, because the owner wasn't happy that one had broken. Absolutely excellent.

I stayed here for a night while a group of us were doing the rail trail, I can tell you from experience that this hotel is haunted, Aside from that it was a good

Spent night in one of the guest rooms. It was small but comfortable. The publican even set up tv and heaters in breakfast room so we could watch the All Blacks play at 6am

The Rabbit pie was delicious, warm and friendly pub well worth a side trip from the rail trail
