J.Staying in Lawrence for the night we decided to call into the local pub for a drink. Though it was late afternoon we were surprised how quiet it was. We enjoyed our visit and would return again when next time we stay in Lawrence.
J.We stopped for dinner before travelling on to Dunedin. The burgers were huge..the chips crunchy and fluffy inside..the crunch chicken moist and tasty..a huge meal at a reasonable price! Praise to the chef..thankyou.
C.Had not intended to overnight in Lawrence but was glad we did because we would not have otherwise experienced the great food and hospitality at this pub. Another reminder of what “top notch” pub food is like. The generously sized steaks were cooked to perfection! A Big thanks to the host and staff.

L.I have had a couple of meals here in the last couple of weeks. On both occasions the meals were exceptionally good, beautifully cooked and presented to a high standard. They the best value for money I've had in a long time.

S.Large plates full of great quality country fare. Great value $20 mains, but shame the drinks were so expensive ($8 pint, $6 half pint). Regardless, great grub and the price for the meal and drinks combined still made for great value.

R.Stopped here for a quick dinner on our way through. other than spending $17 on two bowls of chips the quality was very good and the staff were very friendly.
