M.This is a very comfortable and clean motel. Beds were so nice to sleep in. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The location was good for our purpose. We would definitely return to this motel when we are next in Greymouth.

M.My family walked in off the street while driving past; we could not have been made more welcome. The room was clean, warm and comfortable. The local knowledge (we were kind of confused about where to go for dinner) was excellent. Plenty of parking, with easy access into town both walking and driving.
I would highly recommend this motel to any traveler in Greymouth.
N.Clean, comfortable and quiet. Convenient to the seashore and trails, and an easy walk into town. Roger and Carol are generous hosts, and kindly picked us up from the TraNZalpine train. Rooms are tidy, well-stocked, and everything was in good working order. Hope to stay again!

S.When you read all the reviews they are true. When I first booked to check out was a fantastic experience. Even when I rang to say we were having too much fun in Hokitika so would be late nothing was a problem. The room itself was big the children's bedroom had room for two big suitcases and they could walk easily between the beds and suitcases! Lovely beds to sleep in too. The unit was so quiet as well which makes a good night sleep. The kitchen had everything you could think of to cook/eat in, very well stocked. Although we did not watch a lot of tv, lots of sky channels and for the teenagers (and mum) plenty of wifi. Location was great too. If we ever come back we will definitely stay again. Please book directly with them as it saves money and keeps it in New Zealand! All the best and thank you for a fantastic stay.

R.Excellent. Very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Only slight negative is the room just needs to be a bit darker (blinds don't quite xover the window).
C.We stayed in the Large Family Apartment for one night. The furnishings were good, the layout was excellent ( 2 separate bedrooms, each with 2 single beds), plus a double in the main room. The main room had small kitchen, dining table, lounges and the double bed. All rooms had garden views. Also a modern and clean shared laundry.
L.Booked a one night stay through the motels website. Easy to find on the main drag out of Greymouth. Located opposite the New World Supermarket, and not far from the Centre of town. Friendly owners, real pleasant to talk too.
Booked a 1 bedroom superior unit, which was spacious and modern. Comfortable beds, and a large spa bath to relax in. Apartment was located right next to the State Highway. Coming from a remote area with no traffic, this initially concerned me. But didn't really hear to much traffic, and slept soundly. Everything was spotless and well thought out!
Worth taking time to spend a night in Greymouth. Punakaiki is just up the road, and the town has Monteiths Brewery, the brilliant Speights Ale House and On Yer Bike adventures to name a few....
Will definitely stay again. :)

My partner and I had two lovely nights here. The room was perfect and had everything we needed and more. Loved the bath and comfy beds.
The best part though were the hosts, super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our time with you and hope to be back soon!

P.The facilities at the Alpine Rose Motel were outstanding, and very well priced. Roger and Carol went above and beyond in the level of service. Our visit was for a bike race - they let us drop off gear the night before, letting us wash our filthy bikes on site, helping us wash & dry our kit, and providing lots of local information. They were lovely people and I can't recommend the Alpine Rose Motel enough!

Nice to have decent pillows and linen. x. well set up room with everything you need. brilliant selection of sky channels too for stay in days. super close to hospital if thats where you need to be, walking distance to pub, new world and pizza. and they have a cooked brekky option too. x highly recommended

P.As new condition, very clean and comfortable. This place is the best motel I have stayed in, within NZ in this price range. Owners bend over backwards to help and are extremely friendly.
R.The room we got was very clean and quite upscale compared to other places we've stayed during our trip in New Zealand. It had a kitchen with a lot of cooking and general purpose utensils which we used to prepare dinner that night. Just be aware that check out is at 10am sharp with a late fee of $45.

S.The air conditioner is capped to 23 degrees by management staff, and once it's reached it drops to 21 degrees. This wasn't very good because we wanted it warmer as we have a toddler aswell. I liked that it has a spa bath tub though. Also there's no late check out. It is strictly 10am or else as $45 late check out fee! Not very flexible.

A.Functionality and great service in one place! I was traveling with my family and stayed for one night at Alpine Rose. The rooms were very confortable and look like newly refurbished. The rooms are spacious, bed mattresses soft, bathrooms fitted with heat lighting. Amenities are ok with sufficient selection of teas and coffee and sky tv and internet (good speed for normal users I guess)

It is not a new built motel, however everything was very clean and looks new, all the kitchenwares were clean and shiny, even the wall was clean, couldn't find and spiderweb on it.

O.The place is spotless and the motel owner Eric is very friendly and helpful. The only little thing I want to criticize is that the smoke detector in our room is too sensitive -- it rang loudly even if we only made toasts.
M.Stayed in the one bedroom apartment with the spa tub. It was quite pricey for Greymouth at $225/night but almost everything was good for a 4 star standard with the exception of the air conditioning unit. I feel quite scammed as there is only one and it's not in the bedroom which is a completely separate room with nothing. The air conditioning was fixed to cap out at 21°C by management control! This meant that the bedrooms were freezing and the living room was barely passable, would much rather just a wall heater and no air conditioning as that would be far warmer. Soured an otherwise good experience. Please fix, I've never met any motel or hotel that capped out an air conditioner at such a low temperature in my life. The single unit is already no where near big enough to heat up the whole house, capping it at 21°C makes it useless, might as well get a wall heater from kmart, that would be better because it doesn't stop.
