M.It was like walking into a time warp. Not that it was old, it had all the modern facilities you require for your stay. We were in Unit 5, which had a double bed that was connected with the living room etc. The bedroom had two singles. I enjoyed the sound of the rain hitting the roof, it was very calming and I could sleep all night with it.
We enjoyed their buffet BBQ and got a good feed for $25pp. Kids got Margarita Pizza which they happily demolished. Walking distance to everywhere and staff had very good knowledge of the area. $140 per night for 2 Adults and 2 Teenagers with a delicious continental breakfast in the mornings. A real bargain! Come across to Lake Brunner!
J.Spacious studio suite with beautiful views over the lake and a good sized, well equipped kitchenette. We enjoyed two evenings at the Kingfisher restaurant - very good food and service. The management and staff were friendly and helpful. Would love to stay longer next time!
S.Lovely location. Overlooking the lake. Bedroom was a good size and amenities were great. Bed was a decent size and comfortable, shower pressure was ahmayzing. Staff were very friendly and we had dinner at the Kingfisher restaurant and bar onsite and had a delicious meal. Big portions and well cooked seafood. Only gripe was the wifi, it was very limited. It was our first stop on the Back To The Future 3 package we got for our honeymoon and set a good bar
M.Great atmosphere overlooking a quaint lake. Topped only by friendly staff and amazing food. The buffet was awesome!
M.Busy time of year, not much available, however we had a great self contained room, very clean and nicely appointed in the older units, we were very happy with the facilities available and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.
E.Hotel Lake Brunner in Moana is a gem 💎 I felt very relaxed during my stay while my car is getting fixed at the mechanic. Phillip & his team been overly hospitable. The whole area is very helpful and friendly. It was funny to meet the manager while he gave me a jumpstart 😃 This is a great value and an incredible spot on the Westcoast to discover! Idyllic atmosphere made of waterfalls, swimming holes, bush walks & beautiful Bain Bay are waiting for you 🤙🏼🏝
P.s.: At night time you can see glowworms on the Carew Falls track ✨ 🐛
L.Good place to stop! Hubby enjoyed his toasted sandwich and fries! Shame the chef didn't know how to make a gf toasted cheese sandwich!?!?

N.My partner an I really enjoyed our stay at hotel Lake Brunner. We were surprised to be greeted and picked up at the train station by hotel staff, which made a great first impression. During the whole stay we have felt welcome. The staff have been helpful with suggestions to walks and activities in the area that we knew nothing about. I should also mention the great showers with plenty of warm water, and the awesome changing views over the lake that is visible from the hotel rooms. The food in the restaurant is great and reasonably priced. The locals come to the bar in the evening, so there will usually be some activity there, even if it is not holiday season. We will be back there, highly recommend

T.We stayed at our bach for my birthday weekend just gone. We got takeaways from the restaurant, a beef burger and also a chicken burger. Absolutely delicious! The ciabatta buns so fresh, lots of yummy fillings & saucy! Highly recommend. Definitely will get again!
F.Great food, amazing views, occasional unexpected fireworks late at night 😉🎇. Room 1 is in the main building, but far enough from the bar to be quiet. It has cooking facilities and a separate bedroom, although unlocking the door is a challenge.
M.Great service, nice location, good pub and restaurant. And a special thanks for helping us out of a tight spot, and getting us to Greymouth when the train was cancelled and the road was closed. Cheers.

Awesome staff and a big shout out to Tasmin who looked after us for the evening. Gorgeous girl who is the epitome of West Coast hospitality. V.Didn't stay here but the bar manager (I think) is one of the kindest people I've ever met. Helped us out when we were exhausted and hungry, even though kitchen had closed. What a legend! Thank you so much.
The pub looks lovely, too.
P.Lovely outlook but very noisy and overpriced for a hotel room that was alongside the dorm rooms. Had breakfast included - one morning was nice and welcoming with the fire on but the other morning breakfast room was cold and uninviting. Also, ran out of hot water during evening shower but staff were very blase. If we go again, next time we'll stay in the newer rooms as the old rooms don't offer value for money.
j.Stayed here. The accommodation is very nice. Clean, modern, warm. Bed was a little hard. Wifi slow to start but otherwise very good. Great views of the lake. Pub meal was good. The only issue we had was driving behind the pub to the parking, you have to drive over the footpath. This was not good for our low car. All in all a great place to holiday.
L.Beautiful little hotel with cosy rooms, wonderful friendly stuff and an amazing kitchen! They get dinner guests from as far off as Greymouth for a good reason. The property is nicely maintained, over looks Lake Brunner and is a beautiful place to spend a few nights. We will definitely go back 😄

J.Brilliant Friday night atmosphere. Rugby was on. Good drink selection and the meals were top notch. We got a chicken burger and carnivore pizza and both were delicious and good value for money. Will definitely be back.

L.Lovely people. Clean unit, nicely appointed. Good meal at the restaurant. The only downside was that the heavy rain was more than the spouting could handle and we had a very noisy waterfall outside our bedroom which made sleeping difficult
S.Lake Brunner was our first stop on our west coast tour. We booked the family suite. The room was not the nicest, it was quite cold and the only way to keep it warm was to keep a loud fan heater on. Bathroom needs renovating, shower is so small, stink is very low and seperate taps. The bed was quite hard and small. The kitchen was useful and fine, overall the room was ok. I think the main drawcard to these types of rooms is the stunning lake views. we had dinner both nights at the hotel and the food was good. A little pricey but acceptable. For dinner the first night we got a potato salad with salmon - $29 quite boring flavours, the salad with the salmon was $20 look like they just added a can of salmon. I ordered a Ribeye steak with fries and coleslaw - $35. Very pricey meal for what it was, the steak was over cooked and dry, presentation could have been nicer, coleslaw wasn't bad and the chips decent. The second night we got burgers, we should have gone for these the first night. A lot cheaper and just as filling, they were pretty good, up there with a decent Wellington Burger. Lake Brunner is just a wonderful location, the lake is stunning better than Lake Taupo as a holiday spot. The staff of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. We will back to Hotel Lake Brunner in the summer time, it is just wonderful and so photogenic. North Islanders forget lake Taupo go to Lake Brunner way more picturesque.

D.Nice place to stay with some good views of the lake. We also ate dinner here and while the wait was very long, the food wasn't too bad. The donut was good for dessert and the other food was relatively simple but good. Place seemed to get busy as well over the new year period.
R.Great place to stay fab view of the lake lovely room . .However directions at the hotel are lacking you need to go to the pub to get keys etc Bar staff are not clear how to give directions to the reception (in the pub)when you drive up to motel to try find the reception ... But what was most disappointing was that you have to be out if your room at 10am and the pub who own the motels don't serve breakfast till 11am ...nuts!! And when we asked why they werent open until 11am when you had to be out of your room by 10am the girl replied you can always go to the other cafe in town ....why would you turn away customers ..really dumb ....just saying ...
A.Excellent service. The staff are extremely helpful and go the extra mile. Almost make you feel like a home away from home. The rooms are excellent and the view spectacular.
N.I spent a wonderful hour or so here, sitting under the umbrellas on the deck, watching the town, and the lake,. The staff were super nice, and the food was delicious. The beer was cold. It was a lovely place to stop. A real surprise because I had no idea that there was even a town on this quiet country road.

J.Didn't expected a huge room for just 1 person, maybe due to off peak. Parking is ok, nice view from the lake too. Restaurant serve nice and good food, but for me, it's best to sit outside and enjoy the view while having your meal.
P.Had 2 good dinners here on consecutive nights. Good pub type menu with plenty of choice. Beers are reasonably priced too. Busy with locals and a good pool table. Service was good too

d.Stayed 2 nights room and bed was great the bar next door was cosy with good meals the cleaners did not wash the dishes appeared to have only made the bed and vacuum the carpet otherwise had a good time looking around Moana Hokitika and Greymouth

C.Allways stay there in summer the staff are weird at first but ya get used to it and they actual quite nice and let’s our dog stay. The food is a bit hit and miss but with no other competition in the area can’t really do anything about it and got good boat parking

C.We had a cheese, salami & pickles platter for 2 for lunch at the restaurant. We were very dissapointed, there was no salami just cheap ham not even champagne ham. Two small cheeses one blue & one camembert & 5 crackers to share! They did bring more when requested. For $28 was not impressed. Visit Lake Ohau lodge if you want a great platter..they know how to impress!
We enjoyed our free first game of pool & the young lady working there was very friendly & helpful telling us where the local walks were.
