M.Well guys. Just had lunch with the wife and family. They do a nice Butter Milk Crispy Chicken burger. Very nice cooked to perfection. Their Chicken Wings also very tasty. Great service from Mike on the bar made our visit very nice. Well done team. Will be back again with friends.

Team here is super friendly and accommodating.
Comy beds and rooms/toilets were all clean and nice.
Will have to try the next door restaurant when we next stay here.
Pub is also great for a good pint without having to go far from your accomodations.
V.Was in a group of 6. Great service. Had teenagers with us who wanted a burger. Asked if they could possibly chose from the bar menu but not allowed. We were ok with that. They chose the lamb and ribs and both thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I had the lamb too which I highly recommend. Shared Octopus starter...excellent. Dessert very generous couldn't finish.
B.We stayed one night in a very comfortable room which had character. Sharing the bathrooms was not an issue. Had dinner in the restaurant which is a 10 for fantastic food along with excellent service
We were made welcome in the bar to watch the AB game and it was family as we all gathered to watch We had already decided to visit again but stay longer as it’s very central to local activities and attractions.
K.Beautiful old pub that has been done up. The downstairs bar seemed to be popular with the locals and wasn't bad for a beer and meal. The on site restaurant looked nice if you wanted something a bit more fancy. The rooms upstairs have all u need for a overnight stay. Keeping that old country pub charm

K.My son and I had a memorable experience here recently. We were looking for a nice place to stop and have lunch.....a late lunch to be fair. We were met with wonderful accommodating and friendly staff. The weather was less than ideal and was rather cold outside....but the warmth and ambience inside made the experience more memorable. The food....purely delicious....truly devine. If you want to have a remarkable dining experience.....go here, you will NOT regret it.

P.Quite a nostalgic stay for us. Although our room was small, it was clean and tidy and had everything in it we needed. It reminded me of days gone by. A.A lovely mid winter dinner. The food (mid winter Christmas roast) was just superb..We had room for dessert, a beautiful Tiramisu. We are going to return for the five course degustation dinner. Highly recommended and superb staff.

S.Our usual spot was closed and this place did not disappoint. Decent pub grub at a good price. Jalapeno peppers were hot, garlic cob loaf was soft and buttery. Would stop again especially with kids.

J.(Review from a child) It was AMAZING! I ordered a pizza from the kids menu. It was my favourite type of crust, which is thin crust! Then I had a dessert and drink. The dessert was vanilla ice-cream with berry sauce. The berry sauce wasn't just one out of a squeezy bottle but blended frozen berries! It also had a wafer and sprinkles (real ones). The service was great. They were kind and fast at making the food, though it was still super delicious. This is the best restaurant I've been to so far.

Definitely some interesting taste sensations and a novel but well chosen wine match selection.
The dessert and match were very sweet, the salted caramel tort would have been better paired with a port or lift pinot but overall an excellent evening with fun friendly staff.
R.Easy parking. We were a large group prebooked. Cold day and gas fire on though it could have been put on a little earlier as room a bit chilly. Service excellent, friendly and cooperative, only one server, good choice of meals at various prices and small servings so we could enjoy a sticky date pudding with excellent caramel sauce.

H.Nostalgia par excellence. I really enjoyed the time traveling into history. Very authentic. Though the advertised shared amenities will most likely be off-putting to most it is really not an issue as it is very clearly well maintained and newly renovated.

We are currently traveling to New Zealand. We found this restaurant through a local tip. Since we had been eating quite often for the last three weeks, our expectations were not so great. But the greeting alone, which was very warm for the design of the restaurant, but especially the menu design, raised expectations. We decided on the menu and ordered different wines to go with it. There is something for everyone . For New Zealand the prices are very, very moderate. Especially for the menu. On the Entre‘e menu we read that the chef is Austrian. In short, the food was very, very good, from the starter (homemade ham, beef, pork and lamb to the intermediate courses (1st pumpkin risotto, homemade lamb tortelini) to the main course (saddle of deer with red cabbage and pumpkin puree) to an incredibly delicious peach strudel for dessert, everything was spot on and perfect!
We wish the young team good luck and keep it up. The best meal in 3 weeks 👍😉

Wir Sind zur Zeit auf Neuseeland reise. Durch einen Lokal Tipp haben wir dieses Restaurant gefunden. Da wir die letzten drei Wochen Des Öfteren schon essen waren, war unsere Erwartungshaltung nicht so groß. Aber alleine die Begrüßung, welche sehr herzlich für die Gestaltung des Restaurants aber vor allem die Menü Gestaltung hat die Erwartungen gesteigert. Wir haben uns für das Menü entschieden und dazu verschiedene Weine bestellt. Es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei . Für Neuseeland sind die Preise sehr sehr moderat. Vor allem für das Menü. Auf dem Speisenkarten Entre‘e Haben wir dann gelesen dass der Küchenchef Österreicher ist. Um es kurz zu machen, dass Essen war sehr sehr gut von der Vorspeise, (selbst gemachter Schinken, Vom Rind, Schwein und Lamm über den Zwischengänge( 1. kürbisrisotto, hausgemachte Lammtortelini) bis zum Hauptgang( Hirschrücken mit Rotkraut und Kürbispüree) bis zu einem unglaublich leckeren Pfirsichstrudel als Dessert war alles auf den Punkt und perfekt!
Wir wünschen dem jungen Team viel Erfolg und weiter so. Das Beste Essen seit 3 Wochen 👍😉
