L.Brilliant place for a meal and drinks. Value for money. Meals are huge , staff are friendly and extremely skilled. Bar staff are the best I have experienced for some time. Meal service is excellent. Family friendly.
R. B.Roast lamb was boiled/roasted as most places seem to do now. Reasonable amounts with a nice tasting gravy. Mint jelly not as good as a vinegar mint sauce would have been. Reheated roast potatoes were disappointing. Freshly boiled potatoes would have gone done much better if potatoes were not freshly roasted. Roast pumpkin and parsnip were nice. Cheese sauce was a nice addition to the broccoli and carrots. Corn was crispy and sweet. If meat and potatoes were freshly roasted a four.five star could have been possible. Still a little hungry afterwards.

Have returned a year later now since this original reveiw for lunch and love it still a must stop in hanmer good quality food at reasonable prices
D. C.Went there for dinner recently. Our meals were fabulous ,they were very busy but we didn't wait long for our meals which were delicious. Atmosphere was really great, the staff were very welcoming, efficient and friendly. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.

J.Very modern clean place to stay huge supporting bed very comfortable just one drawback,the single bed while comfortable,the head wasn't against a wall therefore the pillows kept falling off the end. Managers very friendly & helpful. Also great selection of dvds/books to use free of charge. Would recommend Alpine Village very handy to restaurant/shops.

v.Came up for the long weekend and wanted a nice meal out this place was amazing the service was great we didn't have to wait long for our food and the food was fabulous I had the steak best steak meal I've had in a long time I highly recommend this place!
s. m.I love pubs with real locals !!! Me and my bestie travelled from chch for Labour weekend in hamner. Alpine was our first stop and we were so glad we did. Murphy the door man excellent all rounder. My favourite hamner local Tony !!! by then of our time Tony became Uncle Tony a real trooper next time (soon) it's my shout.
Dave the barman 10/10 made sure we were look after. There was 2 women staff to super friendly. We can't wait to come back. Next time Dave ill try that snitznel you highly reccomend.
