P.I stayed here back in September for 3 weeks. The rooms were clean, tidy, functional and serviced well. Plenty of parking. Kay and the staff were so pleasant and helpful. Thank you. Highly recommended.

K.Just spent 4 nights here with 4 kids, great place to stay, from the time we arrived to the time we left we could not fault anything, very very clean, spacious unit, comfy beds, great shower , would highly reccomend the Avon Motel to anyone choosing to stay in Hawera, everything is so close so was very handy for us. So from me and mine thank you for having us
I.This is a hidden gem. Very clean, great staff, great rooms. Highly recommend it.
E.My overall experience was good, with night being quiet and all. However the lack some hotel amenities in a a down side, for example the lack of air-conditioning is a odd as it has come to be expected. And as this in motel not a hotel you do not get things like airport shuttle's, buffet breakfast or restaurants. And in this day and age with government's smoke free by 2025 you would think the all motels and hotels in the country would be smoke free but no this one is not. Also the lack of a pool and pet-friendless is a downfall. They are LGBTQIA+ friendly though. And to top it all off the mattress was one of the hardest the I have slept on. There is also free parking here, so the was nice. Also the location of this place was fantastic (within walk distance to McDonald's). 3 stars.
r.I spent 3 comfortable nights at Avon. My unit had all that anyone would need plus being close to Pak n Save, McDonald's and KFC is the bonus. The jewel in the crown is Avon host Kaye who I nominating for sainthood.
T.I highly recommend this motel as a regular customer. It is on the South Road between Whanganui and New Plymouth , and close by to the Hawera city center. I need to sit whilst showering with a damaged back and their showers cater for this , plus my often arriving at very late hrs. The motel is super clean, and everything works. When they know I am coming I find a wonderful continental breakfast awaits me and I can look forward to a good nights rest. My grateful thanks Avon Staff and my best wishes , T V Rogers Forensic accountant.

B.2nd time staying in the full size house at the back of the Avon motel. Perfect size for a family or two with 3 bedrooms and a super cozy feeling but with lots of space! Great pricing and lovely motel owners. Will come back again
L.The proprieters are continually hospitable and we now only stay here when visiting Hawera. The large house that can be booked onsite is excellent quality. We have booked it regularly when extended family want to stay together.
M.This motel had everything needed for a 2 day stay. Nice and clean with friendly staff, good parking right outside the unit.

A.There was a bed for me. The bed for the other dude was in another room, beyond a door that took care of 95% of the 4-stroke chainsaw snoring emanating from said dude. This was a huge bonus.
