K.Fantastic place to stay near Mount Taranaki with superb staff. Had a great stay in January 2022 and accidentally left my glasses behind; friendly and helpful owner sent them to me by post. A+ service and will recommend to anyone.
M.Friendly staff. Family friendly. Wide range of drinks. Biggest chicken breast I ever seen!!

G.It's an old fashioned, but comfortable hotel. The bathrooms are shared, but modern and clean, the rooms are fine. It can get cold, but there are heaters. The on site bar had a great menu, and the restaurant looks good. It's convenient for anything in Inglewood.
The street can be noisy with boy racers, but that seems to be everywhere in Inglewood.
Would stay again.
C.There for a fund raiser quiz for the crazy cats at the Inglewood volunteer fire brigade who are doing the Sky Tower challenge next weekend raising money for leukemia and blood cancer NZ, this was an event which took place in one of the back rooms.. good facilities in place, and staff were, as always, friendly and helpful, making sure glasses were cleared away quickly and any food orders made it to the right places. Never had to wait for service when ordering drinks at the bar that side of the building, despite what sounded like a very busy Saturday night in the main bar!! Those who ordered food, rather than snacks, were very happy with the quality and quantity of the food, the snacks just as good, and a great venue experience for a good night out.. the Fern Lodge had even been so kind as to donate some prizes for the quiz, supporting local volunteers raising money for a good cause.. this is now a regular haunt for a great Sunday roast at a good price too, definitely give it a try sometime and see what you think. Thanks all for another good night out..

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Recommended us local places which would be open on a public holiday as we were new in town. Kept the bar open for us a little later than closing and were very supportive after our arduous climb of Mt. Taranaki
The bath and shower were a delightful surprise :)
The place too was clean and well kept.

Maybe could do with a breakfast option. We had to travel to New Plymouth for breakfast. We had a great weekend at the Fern Lodge. Would certainly recommend it.

R.Wow! what a lovely time capsule, The hotel is intriguing the moment you step through the front door, totally amazing to say the least. A lovely atmosphere with awesome Locals.

Hospitality? Just Perfect in every way.
The food? Fantastic & value for money our plates were "chock a block" along with every other plate we saw coming into the restaurant.. there was NO "A bit lean on servings" from what we saw.
Would we stay there again? Absolutely!

V.Great spot. Close to everything. Reasonable facilities. Good friendly service. Did not try the retsaraunt but the menu looked good. Roast on Sundays!

J.Went here for lunch with a group. I enjoyed my meal, although the choice was 3 dishes, 2 of which were chicken. I felt they gave us too large a portion of dessert. It was basically 2 servings! 2 chocolate brownies, 2 pieces of cheesecake, etc. Plus ice cream and cream! One would've been sufficient. Everyone left something. I was surprised to be charged $6.00 for a soda, lime and bitters. I could have accepted $4.00, even maybe $4.50, but $6.00 seemed a bit extortionate. Service was very quick, and the staff were welcoming and friendly.

K.it was really a good experience being there last night, reasonable pricing, excellent food which is not so expensive and a beautiful ambiance of feeling like in a small palace. altogether a 5 star for being perfect worth for the money being billed.
