N. M.What a wonderful place for the community to enjoy and visitors to spend some time relaxing in the hot pools or swimming lengths in the heated lane pool.
Lots of space for the children to play, a splash pad and a bouncy pillow, bring a picnic or some fish and chips from down the road and enjoy what lots of towns miss out on!
G.Great facility, spa, pools are all warm clean changing rooms warm showers
L. A.Great for early morning laps, either walking or swimming.
As of Thursday 17th February 2022 Vaccine Passes required. (Finally, I'm one of the 'cool kids' 😇)
A. D.Love coming here when we visit family nearby, free pools, facilities clean, kids love the pools and the sprinkler area, the bbq and picnic tables all under cover great place. unfortunately last trip it was shut for the month of July

P. L.What a hidden gem! Pool complex is free and has hot and cold options. Kawerau caters for freedom campers with two area's available with powered site's. Keys from I site. Shopping area very minimal and run down. Plenty of food outlets and awesome smoothie, frappe, coffee and other yummy stuff at shed outside pool but still plenty of activities for canoeing, mountain biking, walking.
N.Awesome outdoor heated pools including very large spa. Wonderful sheltered BBQ area that you can hire for a birthday or your sports club etc.
B. B.Wonderful facility. Several diff pools of all sized. Great spa area. Clean. Heated floor in changing rooms. Good showers. FREE.
g. s.Staff on Sunday were lovely but not so today sadly. Pity about covid, couldn't soak in the hot pool, not quite sure why when we can use all the other pools.
Good on the council and community for providing such a lovely free facility.
S. D.This is a great outdoor pool complex! Sparkling clean. Cared for with guardian-like respect. Spacious, friendly and welcoming. And it's free to all. It's the best kept secret, ever
H. S.First class and modern complex with several swimming pools, children's pool and thermal pools. Spacious play area for the children. Everything spotlessly clean. Supervising staff is super friendly and very attentive. Please reward this top performance with an appropriate donation!

H.Not very many, (if any) free swimming pools available in Aotearoa.Great facilities on offer, whether you want to do a few lengths, or relax and unwind in the spa pool.Toddler and Kiddie sized pools.Water park as well. Caters for all and a great whanau day out will be had at Kawerau Swimming Pools.Highly recommend 👍👍👍

D. E.After going for a surf in Whakatane on a particularly wet and cool day, we decided to stop at the free pools in Kawerau just over an hour before it closed. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and warm.
We enjoyed the quality and heat of the pools and changing facilities and the helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff.

W. J.It's always great for a soak in the giant spa pool and four other pools of different depths for the children. The new changing rooms are awesome! These pools would have to be the best in the bay of plenty and they're free!
C. W.Love the pools here it's all free and the spa is really nice. Great for me to do laps for my weight loss and I don't feel out of place being a bigger person and the staff are very encouraging.

W. J.This place just gets better and better! The new covered BBQ area is up and running now. Along with the less recent additions of the huge air cushion and water jet area for the children, the new ablution block etc and all for free!

o.A fabulous complex. A forty person spa pool at 38.5° has to be special! AND ITS FREE! Don't get that often these days!
