Had a drink and some simple bar snacks here at lunchtime today. Food was tasty and nicely presented. The best part however was the service, the woman serving us was absolutely lovely. So genuine and kind.

Located in a heritage building with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. There is a selection of craft beers from Nelson which you have the option of taking home in 2 litre containers. They also offer beer tasting trays at a price. Quiz nights are on the menu along with pizzas, bread and spreads. There are two outdoor areas, one under cover and the other under the stars for those warm summer nights. This is ideal for after work drinks.

18/2/21 Another great visit for a meeting. They had fantastic level 2 covid protocol. Friendly staff. The chips were awesome. Tx again for great service. Great place for a quiet business meeting at the end of the day. We didn't eat there but a great range of drinks. Also a huge thanks to Ian and the team. My hubby lost his wedding ring on Tuesday, and we asked them to have a look in the area we had been in. They went out of their way to help and the cleaner was even looking down the side of the seat. Alas no sign of it but really appreciated Ian's correspondence with me. Chrissy E

Very nice place to have a quiet drink. Is always packed full but waiting doesn't usually take too long. Food is enjoyable and quick to reach you. They have nice craft beers and I highly recommend the scotch ale or adult lemonade, but most are very nice. We often go there in pairs or groups of 5-6 and it's accomodating to both. Outdoor area for doggos out the back is also very pleasant. All in all, one of our favourite places to go.

Great food and beer as would be expected. Had Flat Breads and Curly Fries with Jalapeno Poppers. Fellow who served us at the bar and who cleared our dishes was very surly, almost hostile. My son who is of a tendency to not notice anything unless it falls on his head picked up on it too so it was rather pronounced. No idea what that was about! Other than that loved it.

Consistently popular with young (babies are welcomed) and not so young drinkers alike, this pub offers a fine selection of Sprig & Fern's Nelson brewed beer on tap, delivered by efficient but perfunctual bar staff. Inside the exposed brickwork provides a cool but not painfully so feel to this relaxed drinking hole. Hot snacks are available that wont break the bank and on a fine day the large outdoor area is packed with merry makers enjoying a relaxing beer in the sunshine.

Best bar in the Hutt by a country mile! 20+ beers on offer and an extensive wine list. They serve Pizza and snax, but if you want the food options include BYO and they will even provide plates and cutlery for you. No TV,s, no Pokies and either soft background music or local DJ's playing vinyl in a chilled atmosphere......the beer garden is quaint and dog friendly and kids are welcomed........I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

I've always liked the small town feel of the Sprig & Fern taverns. This one has a limited amount of inside seating on a busy night but has an enclosed outdoor seating and then an open air smoker-friendly area beyond that. Chips are good as ever and the staff are quite efficient and maneuver well when it's packed. Looking forward to jumping into a trivia night here :) been too long.
