Had a drink and some simple bar snacks here at lunchtime today. Food was tasty and nicely presented. The best part however was the service, the woman serving us was absolutely lovely. So genuine and kind.

A classic Kiwi pub experience! Good brands spread in the whole country. During the weekend events are on Friday afternoons, enjoy your drinks with friends inside or on the terrace.

Take the dog for a walk along Petone beach followed by a cheeky pint under the smooth sounds of vinyl on a Sunday afternoon in the courtyard. Absolute bliss. With a ton of craft beer on offer and food to compliment; this is the place to be. Big tick for dog friendly too. Absolute winner

Great bars, with character and a cosy feel. A large range of beers and good quality, basic bar food, including 🍕 and delish curly chips. Friendly knowledgeable staff to help with the huge selection of beers. Enjoy.

Good seating choices, tasty pizza

Located in a heritage building with a friendly relaxed atmosphere. There is a selection of craft beers from Nelson which you have the option of taking home in 2 litre containers. They also offer beer tasting trays at a price. Quiz nights are on the menu along with pizzas, bread and spreads. There are two outdoor areas, one under cover and the other under the stars for those warm summer nights. This is ideal for after work drinks.

Great Beers nice atmosphere. Not enough seating space. I find every time I visit on the weekend it's hard to get a seat. Apart from that nice bar staff, good selection.

18/2/21 Another great visit for a meeting. They had fantastic level 2 covid protocol. Friendly staff. The chips were awesome. Tx again for great service. Great place for a quiet business meeting at the end of the day. We didn't eat there but a great range of drinks. Also a huge thanks to Ian and the team. My hubby lost his wedding ring on Tuesday, and we asked them to have a look in the area we had been in. They went out of their way to help and the cleaner was even looking down the side of the seat. Alas no sign of it but really appreciated Ian's correspondence with me. Chrissy E

Petone's own Sprig & Fern similar to my local one in Tinakory Road. The beer and service is great as is the location with close competition all round. A great place to have a quite one on a sunny day

Very nice place to have a quiet drink. Is always packed full but waiting doesn't usually take too long. Food is enjoyable and quick to reach you. They have nice craft beers and I highly recommend the scotch ale or adult lemonade, but most are very nice. We often go there in pairs or groups of 5-6 and it's accomodating to both. Outdoor area for doggos out the back is also very pleasant. All in all, one of our favourite places to go.

It was really nice, the food was great and so were the drinks. I would recommend this place for events, or just in general.

There during Mullvember fundraising (funds for local charities 'Mix' & 'Vibe'). Great staff, awesome venue, good pizza and taps. Lovely smokers' area. Hoorah! Highly recommend.

This place is ADORABLE and SUPER FRESH Petone needs this option. Snacks were fresh and served quickly, cider was refreshing and outdoor area is cute. They also allow dogs to visit with their owners which despite not having a dog we enjoyed seeing the furry visitors 💛

Love this place & the friendly locals that frequent it. Awesome all year round with a great fire cranking in winter & great outdoor areas in summer. Good selection of beers, wines & spirits, good bar food (with the ability to actually bring food in yourself & eat it - Amazingly) usually with live music.

Nice bar, good service, great atmosphere. No problems, no mucking about and always a good crowd !

Great local where you can always have a good time either enjoying the good food & drink or meeting up with people. Dog & even kid friendly (but better without kids). Usually has quality live music on weekends etc. They even let you bring in your own food from other takeout places (like from right across the road from Kilim as an example)

Love that you can BYO food here! Drinks and atmosphere are great whether winter (inside and cozy) or summer (out the back in their courtyard). The quiz on a Tuesday night is pretty good too

Great food and beer as would be expected. Had Flat Breads and Curly Fries with Jalapeno Poppers. Fellow who served us at the bar and who cleared our dishes was very surly, almost hostile. My son who is of a tendency to not notice anything unless it falls on his head picked up on it too so it was rather pronounced. No idea what that was about! Other than that loved it.

They have a fire, the beers good, the staff are great. Awesome place

Consistently popular with young (babies are welcomed) and not so young drinkers alike, this pub offers a fine selection of Sprig & Fern's Nelson brewed beer on tap, delivered by efficient but perfunctual bar staff. Inside the exposed brickwork provides a cool but not painfully so feel to this relaxed drinking hole. Hot snacks are available that wont break the bank and on a fine day the large outdoor area is packed with merry makers enjoying a relaxing beer in the sunshine.

Fabulous place to catch up with friends. Great finger food and atmosphere. We went late Sunday and there was a lady playing vinyls...was awesome..excellent staff. Very "alive" place highly recommend

Great location,pizza selection is very good,my favourite bar snack are the jalapeño poppers. Fantastic beers and the bar staff are outstanding. Always a great time here. Highly recommended.

A nice watering hole to stop after a busy day. Great to recharge here. They do however need to up their game on food choices or simply change the stoggy selection. A cheese platter would be nice.

A decent bar, with nice decor and atmosphere. They have a large range of their own craft beers. Haven't tried the food but at a bar it is a good choice in Petone.

Very popular and somewhat trendy bar with own label brews on tap. Limited snacks menu and very busy Friday nights and Sunday arvos when they have DJ.

Best bar in the Hutt by a country mile! 20+ beers on offer and an extensive wine list. They serve Pizza and snax, but if you want the food options include BYO and they will even provide plates and cutlery for you. No TV,s, no Pokies and either soft background music or local DJ's playing vinyl in a chilled atmosphere......the beer garden is quaint and dog friendly and kids are welcomed........I'd give it 6 stars if I could!

Good local pub but I'm not a great fan of their quiz nights as I'm finding them quite disruptive. The bar food is mainly pizza but I do prefer and love their curly fries.

A nice selection of beers. However, very limited meal options, basically pizza and a few snacks. The pizza tasted nice, but the place is nothing special or new. Would go again however.

I've always liked the small town feel of the Sprig & Fern taverns. This one has a limited amount of inside seating on a busy night but has an enclosed outdoor seating and then an open air smoker-friendly area beyond that. Chips are good as ever and the staff are quite efficient and maneuver well when it's packed. Looking forward to jumping into a trivia night here :) been too long.
