Parking alongside the wharf between the Mangonui Fish Shop and the wharf. There are public toilets across the road also. I saw a few people fishing off the wharf, as well as some commercial fishing boats and Doubtless Bay Charters boat tied up here. Take a stroll through the town area and stop for shopping or a bite

Always the place to stop and have a fish when heading up north. The locals who fish here are very friendly and there is some great banter on the wharf to make everyone feel welcome. There is plenty of sea life and fish around, but sadly no monsters this time - only some pannys for our dinner.

The boat wouldnt go so we went here for a few hours. Great fishing. We caught kahawai, snapper, trevally, octopus and even a sea snake that must have drifted in from warmer seas. Parking would be difficult in summer I'd say but worth it.

Great place to visit and great for children to learn how to catch fish

Beautiful little place.... quiet, great wharf, catching small snapper...we then went to the pub across the road for fish n chip's....absolutely delicious!...fresh and delicious!...highly recommend the takeaways at the pub!!!!

Not bad for fishing but be aware the fishing boats keep coming and going and these are commercial so are big

My grandson enjoyed going fishing there even though he didn't catch any big snappers.

Really nice place to visit and good spot to catch some good size kingfish, johndory, gurnard,snapper and kahwai. You can enjoy the beautiful sunrise from the wharf. Must go place for fishing enthusiasts.

Just magical by day or night..watching boats unload..people fishing..lights twinkling over the water..walk along the boardwalk through the wee town steeped in history..Come see for yourself..you won't be disappointed..😊

On a good day it is just the place for visitors with young kids to have a go at fishing. Most of the locals are friendly and are only too happy to give some tips.
