Steak, chips, salad and mushroom sauce was amazing. The steak was thick as hell, perfectly cooked ans worth the $32. Absolutely disappointed I never took a photo! The staff are amazing, very observant and ask if you need a drink when you are low which is helpful when you're on a roll. They bring the eftpos machine to you as well which is dope.

So funny. Good music, i went in with a few friends, bought a beer and went outside. And literally in 2 minutes decided to go inside to the toilet. The security didnt let me in anymore 😂😂

Monday night is worth going to Mount Mellik to enjoy the biggest board of pork spare ribs & chips, & when & if you can eat it all, the next lot of ribs & chips is on the table in front of you, the food is never ending.

Really good place, amenities super and cost effective. Only 4 stars as some of the staff didn't know what they were selling, beer, specials and what happy hour sales were. Recommend, it's a super good night out.

Last Friday night, 20 plus of my workmates gathered at the Mellick for a farewell party. What a great venue. It's a small but comfortable 2 storey building on Maunganui Road (the mount), that serves up the most delicious meals at an affordable price. I had the sirloin steak & veges, washed down with a icy cold corona or 2 or 3. The atmosphere is friendly orientated emphasized by the smiling and helpful bar staff. There's plenty of tables inside cozy enough to suit all group numbers and a sidewalk lean tables and stools. The only negatives there's NO heating outside and the tables close to the road can't be used after 9pm Something about council rates and rules. My answer to both keep your punters warm and pay the council fee to so they'll stay and enjoy the band that kicks off till late. A place that has it all. 🍻

First ever time there, although I live locally. Quiet, but to be expected given it is Wednesday. Staff friendly & pleasant. ONE improvement could be they play well known, or authentic Irish music. Other establishments throughout NZ do. Maybe it was "just the night". This NOT a criticism, but more of constructive feedback which will enlighten the atmosphere. Great place. Will be there again. BUT, I'll look forward to Irish music as a background. Go well. ☝

Mount Mellick.. they have dinner meals here every night, came here sunday for the $10 steak n chips for lunch, was a good deal n happy with what we got.. came back on tuesday night for 2 for 1 dinner, was two steak n chip meals n two bottles of beer or soft drinks in glasses for $30.. the only difference was the steak cuts n the extra drink sides.. upstairs is chill with a pool table n darts upstairs outdoor aera also.. a heap of signed rugby player tops hanging n other cool stuff to check out.. go see mellick over at the mount.. cheers

Go here regularly on Tuesdays for their steak special. 2 steak meals and 2 drinks for $30! I’m fussy when it comes to steaks too and this steak is very nice with very little fat. Exceptional value.

We went for dinner on Labour Weekend (no surcharge). Great, friendly service and the food was quick and delicious. Huge sized meals, good value for money. My husband had the all you can eat ribs and he loved them. The kids meals were huge and tasty too. Would go again.

Ran out of fish and mussels at 1pm. Good atmosphere, customer service is okay, they make you walk up 3 flights of stairs with your coffees rather than bring it to your table.

Lovely meal today. We got the steak and ribs with salad and beer battered chips. Absolute perfection!! Staff were friendly and helpful. By far the best ribs we have had anywhere.

Food was great. Service was ok. Thought it couldve been a bit more attentive since there was hardly anyone there. There is a drop down 1 step and due to the dimly lit room it isnt as noticable and I fell. Completely sober I should mention. Not one employee came to check on me or ask if I was ok. When they finally came to take our drink order never even mentioned it then either. Only gave 4 stars because the food was delicious although a bit over priced in my opinion.

Came here for the burgers and beer on a Wednesday night. Beer was refreshing, the fries and aioli were delicious, but I found the burger to just be so-so. I was expecting something tastier for how expensive it was. Would definitely go for the fries again though!

Great place for a Guinness! Greeted by a bar as you walk in the door, to the right is a place to sit down and enjoy your pint. Continuing upstairs will give you access to the top floor and balcony that will let you sit and enjoy your drink of choice in the beautiful Mount Manuganui weather.

Just had the most devine lunch at Mount Mellick. I had the steak with mushroom sauce over a bed of extra long, narrow, creamiest potato fries ever! I'd phoned the order through and trotted down in ten minutes to be greeted by the friendly staff and my hot, tasty lunch!!! Thank you Chef - cooked to perfection! Thank you Mellick staff for your friendly welcome! Lunch at the Mellick had been recommended to me by some colleagues only 2 days before. I couldn't pass up the $10 meal today and can only urge you to try it too.
