Nice food, decent sized meals for a decent price, drink was nice, nice staff... Over all a good place for lunch with a view ...

Only 1 staff running whole front/ bar/ cleanup.. overworked but running it like a star. Kitchen catering from Thirsty Whale, kids meal and burger was great but fish bucket underwhelming more like batter and dregs. Long wait for food but otherwise great ambience.

Ordered lunch which took about 40mins to arrive - too long. Pub seemed to be sharing kitchen with very busy Thirsty Whale next door. Fish n chips average; 2x small pieces overcooked battered fish with small serving of chips + average salad that was overdressed and sloppy; crumbed chicken in chicken salad nice but again small amount of sloppy salad. Waitress did not seem concerned when asked if everything was ok when the reply was 'just alright' before she hurried away. Great looking authentic pub though & would only go back for a drink + maybe a bar snack.

Nice place, tables are a little small for larger groups however we pulled a second one closer and made do, so not too much of an issue, just a little squished. Wedges and fries were great. One of the members of staff didn't believe two of us had the same birthday when we were asked for ID, which was an uncomfortable moment especially as I was the sober driver anyway, and who would fake an ID to drink a cup of tea in a pub? But the issue was resolved so no worries there. Overall cute place with friendly staff.

My darling man Bryan wanted to have his Birthday drinks at his favourite pub Paddies tonight with all his buddies & Lou behind bar looked after us as usual so very well! Thanks to all friends who wished Bryan a Happy one!!! Such a warm happy cozy place to be....Anytime x

Great Irish pub with amazing Happy hours (every day from 16 to 18 beer and house wine for $5) and good portion of chips. The staff is very friendly with good sense of humour and great to have chat with.

This is a traditional pub, with real pub atmosphere. They have the first good (not great) IPA I have had in New Zealand. The beef and Guinness pie was very good, served with mashed potatoes and great mushy peas. Definitely go again.
