W.We came here the other day for lunch. Their menu is small but all the items we have tried are very good tasting. Definitely would come here again next time we visit Napier again.

B.The outside isn't signposted so I was unsure if I was at the right place but it does look like a bar from the inside. At first glance it looks quite small but interesting with the large bar on one side and shrubbery and art on the walls. The TV shows the beer selection and there are menus on the bar for food and wine. There is a set of stair around the back which leads to a larger seating area upstairs. There are comfy seats up here as well as tables with stool and a counter overlooking the window.
They serve a range of bar snacks, some of which look interesting. The wonton basket is not a basket of wontons. It is a pair of wonton bowls with fillings. Portions are for snacking. I thought it was a nice place for a drink.

J.Been casing the place for over 6 months now. "Researching" their craft beers tirelessly and the truth is their selection is on a rotation using Borg algorithms, THEY'RE UNFATHOMABLE! That's a good thing if you're adventurous and actually have taste, class, and prefer staff who are the antithesis of grumpy-britches. But seriously, I don't know a thing about good beer or style. All I know is that I'm supporting a different NZ craft beer almost every time I'm in there whether it's hump day, hump day's eve, Friday, or Friday's eve, and because the place and the people have style, by alchemical reduction employing the magic of delicious craft beers and friendly attractive barstaff, I too become delicious and attractive (for a limited time, results may vary, apply lotion if style persists).
J.Great beer and food range at a good price, upstairs is great for a chilled afternoon, definitely coming back. The staff are lovely although didn't seem to know much about their beer selection and they don't give samples so it can be hit and miss on what you end up with, I had to check untapped on their website. Hopefully just a learning curve.

After running the Hawkes Bay half, I was keen on a beer and a burger. As a hophead, the selection of craft beers here really appealed. Although they don’t do tasting paddles, which was disappointing. We opted for a pint of a Garage Project fresh hop. It was a real pint too.
We didn’t do so well on the food front. They have a selection of bunwhiches that I assumed was another name for burgers. But no. The bun was like the filled roll buns you’d get at an old school bakery years ago. The filling was nice, but was ruined by the fluffy white bread with no texture.
D.While it shares some of the beers that the westshore features, it has a narrower range. Today it did not have the Bach Life, hence 4 stars. It has a more refined feel than the Westshore, as befits it's town centre location. Definitely a great place when in town.
p.Lovely restaurant! Ample choice of local craft beers and nice choice of tapas. Good taste of interior, waitress are nice and friendly as same as price of beers! We love it!
