Very welcoming pub on the sunny side of the street. Good service, food was yummy, music mix ok. Highly recommend the Guiness Pie. Thai Beef Salad was tasty too.

Great meals and drinks! Spent two nights in Napier and went here for dinner each night. Friday drinks from 5 get you tickets for the wheel spin. My wife won the first draw and got 30% off next round! Brilliant place. Safe and friendly. Best thing you order a rare steak and you get it!

Lovely customer service. Manager Vineet Shinde was so accomodating and ensured what we ordered was served even though the Kitchen was closed for the afternoon. Have stayed at the Masonic many times, but had missed out on visiting the Pub on earlier visits, glad that we did this time. Afternoon well spent.

First stop when we hit Napier. Cold beer, friendly service and good food. Hubby had the chicken and bacon burger with fries and aoli and I had calamari salad with potatoes and chorizo. I don’t normally order salad when I’m out but I overheard a customer saying it was great. He wasn’t wrong! My salad was filling and tasty and hubby’s burger and fries were delicious and fully satisfied him.

Just went there for a cup of tea 🍵 in cold day and there is a very cozy corner where you can relax. I was reading my book and didn't feel like leave.

I went there 4 times and I can say that’s my favorite place in Napier. Comfy ambience, nice furniture and good service. The fish and chips dish is absolutely delicious. You can even have fun with a pool table and slot machines.

What a great pub. We were there on a Sunday night and loved the live Irish band. Pitchers bigger than my head! Great attentive friendly staff

6 of us dined here for hubby's birthday. The younger diners not impressed at all with the whole atmosphere. They were reminded this is a pub not a restaurant. Don't dine here on a Friday night when they're in the middle of spin the wheel especially if you want a quiet dinner. Forgot to take photos of meals but everyone did enjoy the food or they were extremely hungry.

How you would expect an Irish pub; nice wood furnishings that create a lively and warm atmosphere. The Rose also houses a collection of old radios, telephones and other collectables which makes it an interesting place to sit and drink, or play Pool. The food isn't outstanding in taste, presentation, or price; but it isn't bad. A nice place to hangout, but perhaps walk across the block for lunch?

I'm a seafood chowder buff and this chowder was damn good. Not too creamy. Not too thin. AND NO VEGES IN IT. Just soft prawns. Tender calamari and fish with soft mussels. Yep. My kinda chowder. YUM.

We stopped in for dinner on a Sunday night and had the steak and the beef and Guinness pie which were both very good. There was an Irish band playing some great live music which really made the evening special.

Best $12 fish and chip deal at lunch times!! Deffo my go too. Was a bit guttered when they upped the prices for Art Deco weekend, literally paid double what I usually would which was a shame. Other than that, staff are always friendly and delicious well priced food.

Stopped here because it looked like a place where you could buy a proper beer and have some food. Napier seems to be filled with coffee shops. Nice sitting out on the sidewalk. R left a book she had bought t the table when we left. The kindly kept it for us so we could pick it up when we were driving through.

A Must Visit. Classic interior with good variety of ales. Bar staff were friendly and helped us select our brews. Our fish tasted fresh and the chips filled us. What's more you can imbibe in a classic art-deco building with table alongside the sidewalk.

Really awesome Irish pub in central Napier. The food is really good, especially the chicken pizza and the pulled pork burger. They have a good range of beers on a tap, including some 'crafty' ones. They do a quiz night on Wednesdays that's a lot of fun too.

Fettuccine in mushroom sauce. Strong and thick mushroom sauce completely drowned and overpowered everything else. Sauce is meant to coat pasta. Edible but only just. And jingo. Seriously! Is Napier so lacking in entertainment that retirement home bingo passes as entertainment. Disappointing.

Nice Irish pub... Pool table is for free. Sometimes, like for example Saint Patrick's day, it s became more busy but not during the normal week.. On Sunday afternoon sometime you can find some live Irish music.
