Y.Nice beers but lacking the feel of craft brewery in the pub interior. Feels like a rather regular country pub in terms of atmosphere. Love the American pale ale. Super smooth. N the adult lemonade is also quite creative.

S.Great small bar/ cafe. Friendly staff and food sounds interesting and at a reasonable price. Enjoyed an apples cider outdoors on a beaut Nelson day. Very relaxing and thoroughly recommend a visit.

A.Great selection of beers and ciders. Plenty of charm. Puzzles on the bar blackboard and boxed games for those so inclined. A good spot to while away an hour or two with friends or with your other half. Well worth visiting.

S.Absolutely terrible. I spent all my money on exceptional beer because of the extensive selection, gained weight because the curly fries were so crispy and delicious, and my partner was HAPPY because he got a free pickled egg. To make matters worse, the staff are FRIENDLY. Truly a terrible place. Don’t go. And especially don’t sit in that comfy window couch. It’s mine.
M.We came in for lunch with 5 kids and the staff, food and space was amazeballs! Paprika fries and dough balls from next door. YUMMY!

I.Great little chain just this one is a little small
T.For a cold wintery Tuesday evening just after a long weekend me and my partner secretly hoped that no one would show up for quiz night so we could take home a cheeky first place prize for once with no competition! However, we were pleasently surprised and stoked to find a full crowd of cheerfull happy people all ready to get their freak on! Unfortunately we did not win. Not even the spot prizes, remember to bring your shraps! But alas, thanks to stupendous staff, klassik kai, laugh out loud locals, and mad lady Mary the quiz master, date night was a hit. And would highly recommend

L.A classy but comfortable pub. They suggested we try several of their ciders and beers before settling on our order. I hope to run into their products again as we travel through New Zealand. You can order food at The fish and chips place next door and have it sent over.

M.Was staying at an airbnb in Atawhai and discovered this lovely wee pub. Went there two nights running. Staff very friendly and went out of their way to make us welcome. Pizza and curly fries the first night was awesome and the fish and chips the second was yummy. Highly recommend this place to all.

D.This bar is located near Tahunanui Beach. After spending 3 nights in Nelson I'll definitely be back.
During the days of February 18th to 20th February 2016 we were mainly served by a young lady who was simply excellent. I was offered a taste test in regards to their large range of beers which was very thoughtful.
On the Friday night we headed back to see what the vibe was like. A mixture of people and it was just fine.
My only issue was a bar man who was wearing the uniform smoking at a near by table on the outside. He was turning his head to avoid blowing smoke at his compatriots at their table and the result was us taking the full smoke storm. I don't like to see bar staff drinking at tables and treating environments like they own them.
All in all though a decent place.

A.Incredibly friendly staff at the Milton Street Sprig! Juliette, Victoria and Jim made me feel very welcome and kept me entertained while I drank my delicious grown up lemonade mixed with the berry cider which was recommended to me by Juliette after I described my preferred tastes. I’ll be back 🙌🏻
