I have to say 5 plus to the staff we came from chch to my dad's funeral I don't know if they knew but my family go to this pub regularly so did my dad so we all went there after his funeral the staff were friendly and great the feed we had was just the best compliments to the chef that cooked the food well done was just wonderful we will make a trip back just to go and have the great service and food again thanx to all the great staff

I had not been to the turf in a few years, but decided to call in on a Friday night for a couple of handles of speights. The turf has certainly tidied itself up a lot in the past few years. With a humongous television and a nice large bar area, it is a great spot for a few beers with it's pool tables and pokey machines. The bar staff were very professional and friendly and the toilets were clean. I did not get a meal while I was here.

I eat steak often so when I say that was the best steak I have ever eaten I'm not just saying it Some chiefs just can't do medium rear this was absolutely on the money I enjoyed every bit of it. The turf is an excellent place for food ,hospitality with locals who will welcome you.this is a place with good open garden areas plenty tables,shade or sun,kids and dogs brill.all look after all.

I found it a bit noisy with the horse racing commentary being played on the sound system. I didn't get a meal but I saw plenty of them being brought out to other patrons and they looked awesome. Good sized portions of lovely food. A good range of beers on tap and in bottles. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere made my visit very enjoyable.

It's a good place to have an ale or 2 during the day. It has a gaming room for the keen punters.

Older style pub. Great for a drink with the boys. Woman are welcome too but basic stools with stand up tables. Love it. Staff were friendly and they have a courtesy van so that you don't have to worry about drink driving.

I grew up in Stoke. It was the closest pub. They are friendly, serve drinks and good food. The restaurant "The Bach", is very nice. 1970's main bar is a bit loud acoustically. Garden bar. Music. TAB. Accommodation.

Went for lunch at The Bach. Great soup of the day but pork roast not good. Slices too thick and dry tasteless. Liked the light open decor.

I have had three meals at the Bach now and the quality has been consistent, although the so called 'duck fat fried potatoes ' were nothing to write home about, the staff were great and the restaurant was clean , all in all a nice place to eat.
