Reviews of Itch Wine Bar
J.
Amazing cocktails! Went there two nights in a row. Best cocktails in town by a mile. Fast service for only having one bartender working both nights!
J.
Nice atmosphere. Only had a drink but the place smelt pretty good. Interested to try the food
B.
Nice atmosphere, great selection of wines and spirits and a knowledgable staff member. Took about 25 minutes to get a drink as the staff member forgot the order. Can’t blame her as she was all alone and had few people at the bar. Overall nice.
C.
Best place in New Plymouth for a nice drink, huge selection to top wines and spirits which you normally can’t get by the glass. Great atmosphere, staff and music.
M.
Nice selection of wines and cocktails, however very slow and not exactly knowledgeable service. They could make a lot more money if they served faster!

Nice decor ..walked in stood waiting for five minutes ..Staff member was discussing cheese with two well wined patrons ..No acknowledgement of my presence after five minutes so left ..The most important part of hospo is was ignored .
Not like busy as there were only five people including me ,in the bar .

Well presented little wine & gin bar. Great service from the very knowledgeable bartender.

Really glad we found this classy wee wine bar, which instantly reminded me of my local, award-winning Noble Rot in Wellington. It has a good range of interesting, eclectic wines available by taste (1/3 of glass) and by glass, as well as bottle. Staff were knowledgeable, professional and efficient. I kicked with a champagne cocktail called French 75, made up of gin, lemon and Taittinger. We went for the tasting platter with two cheeses and two types of charcuterie, which was delicious and good value for money (the other option is 4 cheeses). You can sit in a large atrium area where you can order from a couple of other restaurants too; we had Japanese while continuing to drink Itch wines. We will definitely be back.
