I have always wanted to go to the Paihia RSA for a meal for years but for a few reasons never really got a round to it till my eldest mokopuna suggested we go and believe you me it was well worth the wait. We started with their sticky wings which came in small or medium, omg it was a meal in itself...so glad I only bought 1 and we shared. My mokopuna’s Main was a beef burger with a serving of fries and onion rings, I chose the sirloin which came with a Yummi salad and a scoop of fries also you got to choose whether you wanted your steak served with garlic or mushroom sauce ? People honestly choose the mushroom sauce 💯% you will not regret it. For years the tales that came back from other happy dinners about the menu there are all true and more. I only have two regrets which I apologise for as a big eater.... 1 - Donot eat before going even if it is a little snack. 2 - Be prepared to not order/eat a dessert you most definitely will not have the stomach room for it. WARNING!! Small is medium Medium is large ( I only gave a 4 star due to me having a disability and because the disabled lift wasn’t working , was a struggle climbing the stairs )

Great place to meet up with friends and meet new. Great atmosphere and surroundings. The food is lovely and good portionwise. Staff are friendly. Amenities are kept clean. Good location also.

Attended an event here as part of the Country Rock festival. An incident here with someone collapsing highlighted the need for medical staff to be available at such large venues with so many people. It could have been so much more serious with a different outcome.

Unfortunately restaurant meals were overpriced and mediocre, $10 for a plain sundae and the pork belly was disappointing...but band made up for it...really enjoyed Blast from the Past...easy listening whanau band with great variety of songs, even waiata Maori! Rawe!

We arrived on a night they had a Band called Inertia a NewZealand band pIaying and it was really enjoyable. Its always good if there is a band on that plays music that makes you want to get up and dance too it's great. Food is good value if a little on the high side, typical pub style basically boiled or deep fried with a good choice of the usual salads ie. Potato, bean, lettuce etc with of course the traditional Roast, great desserts. Bar staff really nice, actually all the staff were lovely and very helpful. Tv screens everywhere covering sports etc. Plus free use of the pool tables & dartboards. Good clean toilets. The age range of the current membership influences choice of music being played and associated activities, I wonder what will happen 5yrs down the track when a fair proportion of these members will no longer be active members. Members were very welcoming. My friends and I enjoyed the visit. Cheers, Phillip

Very good RSA. Greeted by local character, Aunty Rowena who is worth talking to. Meals are very good. Worth visiting again. Campervans can use the parking area but check with RSA first.
