R.If you’re ever in Paihia this is definitely the pub to go to. The staff and owner are lovely people, join in on the laughs and really look after you. We go every time we are in town and have a blast of a night (guaranteed) . Be sure to order the famous Wet p***y shot

These guys have it in the bag! Kindness, compassion and customer service all in one place. .
From now on, this will be my bar of choice in Paihia.
T.Awesome service from the owners. Very accommodating. Would definitely recommend stopping in for a few cold one's over summer.
L.Pool, cocktails and shooters. Awesome staff, open till late and fantastic drinks prices. Hire a table only $10 per hour. Try the Jimmy Don't.
P.Staff are friendly, beer is good, music is cool and the log burner was a bonus. Good place, give it a go

D.Terry was an absolute legend from the second we walked in. A massive poolroom with a huge projector screen showing the Superbikes set the scene. But the cheap drinks, music, great atmosphere and fantastic hospitality kept us there.
If you're in Paihia and keen for a drink and a good time after the Main Street bars close, this place is a must visit!

A.A great place to go have a chilled night. Big pooltables that are in great shapewith 8 tables in the place, never waiting to play pool. Also does a speedball comp every week.

A.OUTSTANDING!! I organised a Stag Party for my best mate, up from Qtown. Terry @ Sandpit Bar took care of every detail, every aspect of the function with his ongoing mantra coming to the fore; “I just want to make everything easy for you”. That was an understatement! From woah to go, Terry’s attention to detail, planning assistance and commitment to our event was amazing; taking on the pseudo-roles of Travel Agent, Concierge Service, Taxi Service and Counsellor (very stressful at times LOL). How he managed to balance our commitments with EVERYTHING else he had to do, I will never know, but it’s the mark of a true professional and someone who’s passionate about looking after his customers. Massive cheers to the Bar Staff and Big Joe for taking care of the lads and myself; awesome work and we hope to be back in the future (in fact we’ll all make a point of visiting any time we head North!). Quite clearly, I thoroughly recommend the Sandpit Bar for all your event needs, rest assured you’ll be well looked after!
