k. b.We stayed at the masonic at very short notice. Waiting for the arrival of a grandbaby who was not in any hurry to arrive. The booking was easy the room had everything we needed. We needed too extend our stay at short notice also. And this was not a problem. Although we didn't meet you. We appreciated you so very much. Clean cosy and warm. With a few lovely welcome extra's. And even a message to see how thing's were going. Awesome little place.

M. B.Fabulous room and Colleen is a star. Previous night I googled most places in Palmy and so pleased ,- Colleen gave me a big room away from that night's function noise. Which I never heard. The room and hallway has tasteful artwork, extra amenities, and Colleen even offered to take me to the airport. I really truly enjoyed my one night here.

N. A.We stayed two nights (21,22/2/20). The room was lovely. It was well decorated, clean and comfortable. A credit to the management. The only negative for us was the lack of a lift, which due to our age and physical limitations made climbing the stairs a bit of a mission. The management and staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel as a pleasant place to stay.
T. H.Colleen was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious and everything we needed, including a fridge and toaster. Hot shower, comfortable beds, fluffy towels. Perfect.

L. F.One of those quintessential kiwi old school hotels that are the local for locals. Nice tidy rooms, without air con but had a fan. Staff were incredibly kind and friendly! Good location too as only a few minutes to supermarkets and restaurants.

B.Tiny room but well appointed, new decor, good value. Sadly the food side isn't really catered for but then there is plenty nearby.

R. T.We recently hired the large function room at The Masonic Hotel for a 21st birthday. Right from the very start, Colleen and Murray (the proprietors) made everything so effortless....from discussing and organising catering to the use of the many systems available for hire.
The prices quoted were very reasonable and the service provided was outstanding. The staff available for the function were friendly and professional and were all very helpful on the night. The catering was exceptional and the quality was of a very high standard.
Overall the whole experience from the commencement/reservation of the facilities, right through to the very end, was sensational! I would definitely be recommending this venue to anyone looking for a somewhere to hold their function.
Colleen and Murray provided an experience that went over and above what we asked for and what we expected! Thank you both for helping us to create a magical time for our little sister's birthday!
Go to the Masonic everyone, you won't regret it!

H. H.Amazing. It's an old hotel but it feels super comfy, even the local drinkers here downstairs are friendly as well as the workers. Colleen, the boss, she is amazing. Will look after you very well
L. G.I have only good comments to lodge in that I met the owner or Manager and she was not only extremely welcoming but very personable and helpful.
I told her that she had very good staff who made me and many others feel at home in the hotel.
Given that my room only cost $70 a night it was great service from friendly staff as well as a clean and safe place to stay.

M. H.Friendly family run local bar. Couple of nice function rooms for hire in the front and back. Murray the bar man is very friendly, he usually starts pouring our drinks when we walk in, before we even make it to the bar.
