Perfect Hosts , tidy rooms , comfortable beds , great food & beer

S.Excellent! A well presented restaurant. The waitresses are friendly and just awesome, and the food well if you're going to order the seafood basket make sure you take a doggy bag (or can ask for one they are used to filling doogy bags) and make sure there are at least two of you to eat it, it is HUGE and fresh too. Same with the mixed grill, the servings are massive. So, value for money, great service, calm and peaceful with soft background music, it will be our place of special occassions and thats for sure.

E.Great meal. We Had the sea food plater. We were given a bag to take home the half we couldnt eat. But did manage to share a cheese cake. Great meal and service
L.A good old small town pub. Lovely publican & staff, very accommodating. Didnt see 1 pokie machine which was awesome. Just a great relaxed family friendly atmosphere. Food was average but plentiful!! If your feeling like a big dose of seafood... go the seafood platter; its huge!!! 5 stars for keeping it real & not trying to be something their not. We'll be back 😉

C.We stayed here at short notice, the staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and duvet cover had a new feel to them. The room smelt a little bit musty and couldn't close a little window. The shower was great! Fantastic pressure! It's an old building and would be great to see some of the history of the place.
K.A country hotel with pleasant, tidy and taste ful decor, indicating that it has been re-decorated quite recently, particularly the modest size lounge bar and spacious dining room. It also has basic but clean, tidy and recently re-decorated bedroom type accommodation. The obvious very experienced proprietors impressed me with their relaxed, helpful and friendly efforts to be above average country hotel hosts. As one might expect with a small hotel, their range of bar meals is not extensive but the better than average standard has earned them a good reputation with local patrons.
K.Love going here for a meal and a drink. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced
T.best Hawaiian burger ive ever had recommend if travelling through the Wairarapa from Wellington or going through the Wairarapa north stop in here they are awesome and have kids menu family friendly establishment. I will definately return here.

D.Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Homely tv area/lounge for guests and area to make hot drinks. Ajoining pub and area for evening dinners. Historic building in a quiet little country town. Not a bad place to use as a base if exploring the various bush walks in the area. Very comfortable. Even with children.
R.Gluttonous portions and average to fair pub cooking. Cut back the sizes, increase the quality and charge less.

D.Good old country pub with great service and great restaurant which sells the meanest steak you would kill for. This place has been upgraded over the last couple of years and provides a very pleasant ambience. Locals are typical country folk with typical country humor with an inviting attitude to visitors.

B.Good place to stop for a break from driving from Palmerston North to Masterton or anywhere else south for a meal and a wine or beer especially if you have just spent a long day in Palmerston North saves you from cooking when you get home i do this at least once a week.
v.First time staying in eketahuna, came back here for my partner to play rugby so stayed at the Inn.. The most beautiful kai, true home cooking styles.. Thanks for a great experience
