b. d.Was there over Queens birthday weekend monday had a beer with the owners of 2 years. Great destination pub like Okoroire or Whangamomina for motorbikes or car clubs. Great roads in both directions. A bit bumpy south for 18km. But all sealed throught to Masterton without going on the main road.
M. P.Great place with a very welcoming atmosphere and the friendliest owners. My wife and Dad enjoy the place. We enjoy a few beers and a good meal after a long day of driving. Really recommend this place. One of the best pubs in NZ!

As a cold, hungry traveler, there is nothing better than being plucked off the street and shown good food, beer, company and music. Wimbledon Tavern is a must for those seeking an authentic kiwi experience.
By the way I kayaked to Auckland, ran out of money and went back to work as a guide. I'll finish the trip to Cape reianga, and am scheming up plans for other trips. One day I'll write a book, and there will be a Wimbledon Tavern chapter.

His Beautiful Wife is an excellent chef making short waits on delicious meals that melt in Your mouth keeping all Happy. Checking how Your meal is AAA+++ Service with loads of fun and smiles. Spoilt for choice where families are welcome. An old fashioned set of photos tell the amazing history of the area and locals. With an Awesome ROUND POOL TABLE FOR EXTRA FUN!!
d. g.Amazing food and service was out there doing the finish side of targa rally and they didn't know it but we had had a bad experience the ight before just down the road at Herbertville Inn with food not being up to standard these guys at Wimbledon told us 25 minutes cause we have only just opened and we can only do burgers next thing you know 15 mins later we had piping hot burgers and in the mean time we had ordered coffee piping hot and amazing

C.(Translated) You just have to go there. We started talking to the locals right away. Good tips for the onward journey and Odette the operation just great. We also ate fish which was delicious. Overnight we have next to the restaurant on the gravel. In the morning we wished the pigs and chickens and the ducks a good morning. It was honest.

Da muss man einfach hin. Sind gleich mit den Einheimischen ins Gespräch gekommen. Gute Tipps für die Weiterfahrt und Odette die Bedienung einfach super. Wir haben auch gegessen Fisch war Lecker. Ü Nacht haben wir neben dem Lokal auf dem Schotter. Morgens haben wir dann den Schweinen und Hühner sowie den Enten einen guten Morgen gewünscht. Es war ehrlich.
