The food was amazing and the staff friendly and attentive. They had a Valentines Day special which was amazingly good value and still offered plenty of choice. Free glass of bubbly was a lovely touch. Only down side was the state of the toilets... restaurant was fine dining, toilets were local pub on a Friday night.

Meals were fantastic, best I have had in a very long time. Lots to choose from and not just pizza and burgers even the burger was stand out being between waffles instead of a bun! Definitely recommend and I'll be back!

Beautiful food but sadly the service was bad. Had to keep asking for drinks and even plates! Got given the wrong beer as well, it was corrected but not on the bill. They were busy it was Saturday night but still expected better when you're paying that much. Scallops were to die for and same with prawns. Disappointing creme brulee but the Chocolate bombe was amazing! Would definately go back regardless.

Absolutely fantastic service. My family and myself dined here last Saturday and we were amazing by the attentiveness and care the waiters displayed. 10/10 would come back. And the food was AMAZING!

Great experience - looks to be under new management and things have changed dramatically. Food and service was great. We were with a larger party for a birthday celebration and while it wasn't overly packed the attention by the waiting staff was fantastic and the food was top notch. Recommend to everyone in Paraparaumu and the Coast.

Went for a 21st birthday dinner yesterday evening. Server was attentive and polite, restaurant was well presented. Garlic bread was nice, fries were crispy and hot. Table ordered beef wellingtons, steaks, squid, venison and pork. Beef wellingtons were crispy and not soggy but unfortunately overcooked. Pork was overcooked (better than under however) Sirloin was well cooked but gratin was poor quality Squid was good. All in all a 3/5, food leaves room for improvement for the price. $350 for a table of eight including drinks however is reasonable.

The service and food was good. Unfortunately the chef was unable to cook the meat medium raw as first time is was more well done. The meat was really good quality. Second time was better but it could be slightly more to the blue than it would be perfect. The sizes of the meals and the kids meals were good and the service was as always friendly and good. Keep it up!

The Jolly is one of the best places to go for lunch on the Kapiti Coast. The food is superb. Service is friendly. And there are inside and outside eating choices, depending on the weather. Loads of parking nearby. There's also a good selection of wines, beers and great coffee!

We had a group booking for 25 last Saturday night . The meals were amazing. I have had nothing but rave revues from the others who were at the celebration who had a range of meals from the Gnocci to the Pork Belly, Tandori Chicken salad, Steak, and the burgers. The desserts were delicious and service was great. Thank you JB and the Jolly staff for a very enjoyable night.

For a restaurant attached to a pub it's just one of those places that are delightful and unexpected. They've really looked after us when we have visited and their meal specials which are off menu are excellent. This was the dessert I had for a birthday dinner last night. So great because we're just 3 minutes down the road. :-)

I can't count the number of times we have eaten here now, but The Jolly Pub & Kitchen consistently produce great food and service. We loved our dinner last night when we celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary! My husband and myself enjoyed a superb meal this evening! The potato gnocchi was to die for, and my husband really enjoyed the beef burger. Dessert was great too! Excellent service and we will definitely return!

Delicious steak, friendly service and a decent range of beers, wines and spirits to accompany. We were too full to try dessert but they had some tempting choices. This was our first visit after some disappointments at other local gastropubs, but the Jolly is the real deal - we'll be back.

Amazing meals last Saturday night. I live within walking distance of The Jolly however this is the first time I have been in about 4 years. I grew up going to this place, im pretty sure there's photos of me as a baby in one of the bartenders arms sleeping soundly. Its gone through many names and owners but its always had the same values. Good drinks, good food, good vibes. Family friendly but also nice to go to with some mates for a drink!

First experience at the jolly. A few picky etiquette things like not being offered water for our table etc and we waited quite a long time for our food despite the restaurant being pretty empty. Once the food came out there were a few issues - some food was cold as had obviously been sitting a while well waiting for the other meals to be completed, however were very tasty and I imagine would have been great otherwise. One meal wasn't as advertised - slow cooked lamb came out as a pan seared lamb steak type thing...very tuff and chewy and was not eaten - this was confirmed by the waiter and they were very apologetic. When we were ready to leave we were offered ALL of our tables meals on the house which was very unexpected and appreciated. I'm not sure if this was an off night for them but may have to give it another shot to find out.

Often go to the Jolly for lunch. Food and customer service brilliant

We have been there twice lately as a family. The food and serve on both occasions has been fantastic. The menu has good variety and the servings are generous at reasonable prices. Its so nice to have a children's menu @ $12.50 that is good wholesome food not junk. We would recommend giving them a try and will be returning..
