We had a $18 60+ special, a roast and dessert.
We have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel, better than a cafe

R.I had a meal at this hotel on Sunday night, as part of a large group. The waitress was wonderful - the best I'd seen anywhere. She was so cheerful and helpful - many of the group commented on it. The food was great too so I'll definitely be back. :-)
R.Been going here for years. Lovely people, great food and the old pub has a great feel. Great for the whole family.
J.Meals were good. A few issues with payments as we were a large group and billing was for the table. For large groups couples or individuals should have there own tab.

J.Did not get to stay at the hotel but ate at the hotels restaurant, Nelly's Restaurant. Zaina was super nice. Give her a raise. Asked the chef if they would serve us dinner even though I think they were about to close the kitchen as we walked in at 9pm.
Food was great, better than many restaurants back in Auckland. I had the catch of the day which was a pan fried salmon and my father had the lamb shanks. Both great and very reasonably priced. Restaurant had nice decor with wood furnishings, there's a nice outdoor area and a even a small playground for kids.
If travelling from Lake Tekapo to Timaru/Christchurch or vice versa I would definitely stop by Pleasant Point, if just for the food at Nelly's.
M.Got stuck here in bad weather. Was Ok, room is tiny bit you don't pay much. Bar was typical small town, food greasy but ok. Locals were nice enough. Everything was clean, just run down.
